Orb & Sceptre in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

We had our wedding reception here yesterday the manager was fantastic and staff were great and the whole crew were fantastic we will be back soon we have recommended to everyone of our friends thank you again Mr and mrs Poole

We recently hosted our son’s christening in the orb and sceptre! And it was an amazing experience and service. Sam and her team went above and beyond to help us. Nothing was too big! I would highly recommend and will be using them again in the future for gatherings/parties. Thank you again to the team at the Orb & Sceptre

The pub itself is a nice clean and pleasant place. We went in for some food on a lunch time. However the only food available was pizza. The pizza was nice, we enjoyed it but not what we were actually looking for. But we thought that as we were there and couldn't be bothered to look for somewhere else it'll do. Staff were friendly, the prices were fair.

Had Pizza, staffs are friendly and helpful.

Lovely local pub. Staff always friendly and take the time to get to know you. Drinks always on point. Food....only does pizza but it is great pizza, and for a busy bar is the perfect choice to eat with your drink and share with friends. Regular events quizzes,disco, live music, older persons companion afternoons, sports. The orb has become the place to go for live sports events, after work drinks, and pre clubbing at the weekend. It is the type of place that has something for everyone at different times and days. Fabulous beer garden that is kept neat and clean despite people's inability to keep thier beer in thier glasses. As a regular I have very few quibbles and if I do I talk to the staff who deal with any issues I may have quickly and efficiently.

More of a bar than a pub, if you like dj music perhaps its your place, if you like a quiet pint not so much.

Great pub. A little quiet when we visited but it was early in the day. Sadly only Pizza available but quality and service was both great

Nice open pub. Modern decor. Quiet for a Saturday afternoon. Only served pizza today but it was nice. Food and drink reasonably priced. Dog friendly. Pool table. Outdoor area to relax in when the weather gets warmer.

Okay for a pint, but not for food

The Perfect pub, it has a bit of everything and different events on every night with quiz, pool, singers, DJs and all the sports. Great atmosphere, helpful and lovely staff.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to the team at the orb that served myself, and my family during my daughters first birthday party. I booked this a couple of months in advance and Sam called a day before just to double check we were still going ahead (which was fab as I forgot to double check). Our party had use of the snug, it definitely felt private which was perfect, and it was lovely and warm. The table and chairs were all set out, we also had a barrier put up to section the snug off which was lovely. The staff were really friendly, and welcoming. Came through often to ask if we needed anything or to take the glasses away. We were able to set the party up as soon as they opened which was a few hours before the party had started. We were able to provide our own buffet etc. So I would just like to say thank you again for making the setting for our daughters first birthday relaxed and enjoyable.

Amazing place, spend most of my weekends in there. Food is top notch and the staff are wonderful! And a dog Friendly environment.

I attended a Wake after a funeral of friend and it was a great venue and loverly efficient Staff.

Went there for lunch again no food and again the toilet chart has not been updated it must show some contempt to the customers how long does it take to do a signature on a chart. Greene King show do a quality check it would be an eye opener.

Great venue for a party!! Sam closed off one side of the pub and along with her team they was all at hand to serve my guests drinks straightaway! Friday nights there is already a disco so everyone in the pub can dance away and have fun!! 😃🥂

Atmosphere is good, service quality is good but there is little or no food just pizza but tasted good. Drinks are pricey almost like in a club. A very comfortable and secure place to watch games, hangout, relax and converse.

What a fantastic lovely pub, probably the No1 pub in Kings Lynn. This pub has something for everyone, a fantastic beer garden, great pool and darts area and if you fancy just to chill and chat then the main bar area is the place to be. Bar team are very professional and friendly which is a credit to the landlady who makes sure everyone is welcome in a friendly manner, disco and live music at the weekend and a quiz night on Monday are added bonus. I been several times now and it's always a great night Almost forgot to say they also do fantastic pizza's too.

My wife brought me here for a lovely drink with our family had a lovely cold shandy went down a treat, service with a smile and very out gowing staff, i had to use disabled toilets and they were spot on. Would highly recommend going here for a nice chilled drink. Decore inside is perfect and beautiful chilled out garden.

Had a lovely family drink here, brilliant atmosphere around also garden is lovely and impressed with the huts they have. Not too pricey my kids had a pizza each and throughly enjoyed them, service was lovely and drinks went down a treat.

Crazy quiz and great beer on a Monday evening

I ordered the bbq chicken pizza and quick service, and the food came out quick. Dog friendly pub. I had been on a long hike, so I needed the rest. It was a shame they were only serving pizza, but the pizza is good.

Won't be returning after last night no food no music wow what a disappointment

Went again to try and get a meal, and of course, the kitchen closed this is the fourth time they have let us down.

Had a surprise 50th party for my mum on Saturday and had the best night. All staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly if they tried. It was super easy to organise, to communicate and the food was brilliant. We had an amazing time and could not of wished for a better night!

This place is great! Great for families and lovely atmosphere. Had fish and chips, gammon and chips and bacon and cheese burger...all very tasty xx beer was great and plenty of drinks for the kids xxx

had a great night hosted by Orb and Spectre for my sons 30th, function room was very clean and tidy and provided a warm welcoming atmosphere, all the staff were warm welcoming, friendly and they catered for the buffet which tasted amazing, and was plentiful, there were plenty of options to choose from the buffet menu, hot and cold options and everyone said how nice it was, would definitely recommend to anyone, a great evening was had by all, thank you so much, will definitely use for future occasions

We fell upon this little gem totally by chance on good Friday it was rammed when we walked in the lady behind the bar greeted us we sat down a table of six and the service was exceptional slight wait in food but we were told due to volume of people when food got bought out we were very happy left feeling very satisfied well done keep the great work going 6 very happy going to be returning customers

We went here over the weekend amazing food, very quick service and not a long wait considering how busy it was. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great with the children. I would highly recommend. Will defo be returning

We went for my mums wake the staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome they laid on food for us which was lovely especially the chicken strip and their sausage rolls was a right hit came and asked if everything was ok all I all brilliant

We usually cook for each other on valentines but decided to go out this year and we weren’t disappointed, the food, atmosphere and staff were excellent. I had the sirloin steak, it was cooked to perfection as was my husbands bacon and cheeseburger, also lots of little special touches presentation wise on both plates. Please pass our compliments to the chef and thank you so much for a wonderful evening, we’ll definitely be back.

Visited here Saturday lunchtime with my husband. First visit since it reopened and wasn't disappointed. The young lady behind the bar was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable and was engaging with customers throughout her visit. My husband had the vegan burger and chips and he said they were the best chips he had ever had. His only grumble was that he wanted more ( but he does have hollow legs! ). The pub was clean and bright and it was a nice atmosphere to spend a couple of hours. Will definitely be back.

Had my dad's wake there on the 27th Jan. Brilliant service. Buffet was fantastic they done for us. Staff was polite and good to us. Had a lovely afternoon there. Would go there again. Such a welcome change to Kings Lynn. This pub offers everything from food, drink and entertainment to a super chilled beer garden perfect for my little ones and my dog. Lynn has been missing somewhere that offers everything but here it is. Been visiting regularly and yet to have a complaint about the food or service ... the staff are incredibly intentive and nothing appears to be too much and the decor is stylish and trendy. Thank you for giving myself and my family a place to enjoy whatever the weather ... look forward to visiting you all again soon.

Love this place but food was off again. Not the first time! Kids had to have a bag of crisps. Staffing is always an issue like most places. Will try again. Wootton Road local 🙏

Perfect Retirement Party Celebrated my retirement with a lovely buffet provided by The Orb and Sceptre. The food was delicious and a great variety and so filling. Our party had use of the snug, which was perfect as it felt more private for us. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was great. Thank you to everyone, especially Sam, for making my evening so special.

Went for the first time to the Orb & Sceptre and I have to say I was impressed. The food came out quickly, and it was lovely, Sam and her team were fantastic, very welcoming and could not do enough for us, really good atmosphere and I would highly recommend coming

Just wanted to share my review, upon a few visits now each time i have been really impressed with the venue! The staff were super helpful and happy (even when it was busy) the decor and atmosphere of the place makes this feel like a premier place but not charging premium prices! Definitely will be back! Keep up the great job!

First visit to the pub, it was recommended by family who had previously been for Sunday lunch and said it was well worth the visit. One of the things I miss most being away from the UK for long periods of time is a Sunday lunch, we were not disappointed. The food was very good, my husband loved the roast dinner and said we have to come back. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Looking forward to our next visit.

We went yesterday: Was able to work from there, met up with family, great food, wide range of drinks available, the staff were amazing, nothing was too much, even our fussy eater was able to get a meal. The decor is very tasteful and welcoming. Would I go again? Certainly….

Visited The Orb over summer and could not fault it. Staff were friendly, food was lovely, great atmosphere in the pub and beer garden with beach huts are just lovely on a sunny day. We will definitely be back.

Great welcoming place to eat,drink & relax. Plenty of space & events going on. I had a fantastic chickpea & spinach curry, when I explained my allergy at ordering I had asked for the naan bread to be left off the order and the chef gave me an xtra poppadom instead. Amazing wine and staff. Young lady I had seen a couple of times & harrased for food as I am new to the area was lovely and kieran who served me was fantastic. Lovely, genuine place & people ❤

Me, my mum and my sister ate here on Wednesday and it was lovely. Loved the style of the place, the staff, the food & the drinks. My sister had a complicated order where she preferred just garlic bread with her mac and cheese rather than salad & they gladly made it happen and even gave her extra garlic bread too. The mac and cheese was to die for also. Everyone had a wonderful evening here, very cozy and very good food. Thank you. ❤️

Had a really bad experience with food there. Wrong food came. They ran out of sides and salads so things just came all mixed up. Could of told us but just served loads of things wrong.
