Terrible service. We are allergic to Fish ,a severe allergy which we mentioned when ordering the assorted meat okra soup. To our suprise the okra contained stock fish, we called the restaurant to complain and were blamed for not specifically mentioning stock fish because according to the restaurant stock fish isn’t fish?! ( how ridiculous ) we are now on the way to the emergency room. To make it worst , we were not refunded nor was a exchange offered , just a measly “sorry about that”. I will be notifying the food standards agency ASAP.

Reasonable place to enjoy your popular Nigeria dishes. Food was well done credit to the cooks at the back though the egusi soup could do with less salt. Now here is my concern. There is this prejudice about Africans and Nigerian being deceitful and dishonest, this restaurant does very little to disprove that. The prices on the menu is completely different from what you are charged. You are given a menu with prices when you place your order based on the prices given you are told that the prices has by magic gone up this was the case with every item on the list. I don't mind paying the higher price if that is the price you are charging but at least be honest with it on the menu. The food was overall good but I left feeling cheated by the dishonest prices.

I have just had to pull a piece of metal scourer from my mouth as I was eating their takeaway Asun. This concludes an overall shoddy experience at this so-called restaurant. The menus are out of date so the price you see written is not the price you will pay. It took over 45 minutes to bring out simple nkwobi as a starter even though there were only two other people already eating in the restaurant. Overall service poor. Would be nice to actually have a Nigerian restaurant we could be proud of. Also, they charged us extra for the small takeaway plastic containers. Who does that?? Having said that, the food that wasn't contaminated with foreign objects did taste good.

The is a Nigerian restaurant that lacks character. Just bland. The food is very average, small in quantity and quite expensive. Not a bad place but really think they could do a lot better. Will not be visiting again.

Sorry I have never been in that restaurant in my life. May be one day I shall visit.

Absolutely disgusting and disappointing! We ordered Jellof rice, plantain and assorted meat & Jellof rice, plantain and fried fish from deliveroo at this place. Me and my partner was looking forward to having this food but to our horror- we found a piece off a metal scourer in our rice and my partner had took a bite of this and assumed it was bone from the fish but as soon as he took it out of his mouth, we discovered it was metal piece as shown in pic. Furthermore, after consuming the food a couple hours later- I had extreme discomfort in my stomach and puked consistently. Honestly, I don't usually like to leave bad reviews but this is food contamination with a foreign object and I really don't trust the food health and safety from this restaurant as I work in the food industry myself. This could've led to something more severe and dangerous!

If you are craving African food or you just want to give it a go for the first time then orange restaurant should be your first option. As an African woman who is also a very good cook, I can't fault any of their dishes, yes they are that good and 100% recommended 😉

Nice food you wouldn't regret going there for food

I am rating it three stars based on two visits. The first in 2017 was 4/5 star but this last visit in Dec 2021, I rate 2 stars ( 3 star for service and 1 star for food). I ordered white rice, assorted meat stew and dodo, but was served fried fish stew instead. The rice was good and fresh, the stew I struggled to eat ( too thick, tasteless and not fresh), the fish was over-fried and extremely dry, then the four tiny pieces of dodo made things worse - dodo always makes every meal better so why 4 tiny pieces? The Cook/owner needs to step up. I will visit again sometime this year and give another rating as I hope the cook just had a oneoff bad day. I love to support Nigerian businesses in UK but I think it is important that they provide a reasonable standard of service.

I was craving an African meal nd I went here to have the assorted goat meat peppersoup and it was definitely amazing. I do give Orange Restaurant & Bar a 5 star rating because of how delicious the meal was but the server was not so pleasant, he kept frowning all through the service which is wrong but in all it was a great place to dine.

A very clean and neat location, helpful and welcoming staff, various dishes on the menu, and everything is very professional. I will definitely visit this location which left me with a special opinion. So I definitely recommend it!

I was so disappointed, the environment wasn't clean enough and it smells. Very poor service from the waitress and unprofessional; other customers walking about with cigarette to the kitchen and talking to stranger(kind of harassment)! The waitress tells customers a different price from what is in the menu as the menu got different price lists and has not been updated. I definitely will not recommend.

The food here is really scrumptious, the suya, the jellof rice, the pepper soup and goat head was to die for. Very clean environment and very good customer service too, I will recommend ✔💯

Orange Restaurant & Bar is a good place to eat African delicacies especially Nigerian foods such as Abacha, Nkwobi and Ugba, Garri and assorted soups like egwusi soup, vegetable soup, okro soup, etc. They equally sell jellof rice, fried rice, beans and fried plantain. Assorted Nigeria beers like Star, Origin, Guinness stout, etc. Taste of their food is delicious and makes you have a feel of Nigeria atmosphere. The cost of food and drinks are pocket friendly. Quality of their service is amazing!

Avoid this resturant unless you know the owner or a member of staff because that's the only way you will get served. Very POOR customer service.

Nice traditional nigerian food. Has a bar. Relaxed atmosphere with low volume afro beats in the background. Has dining table and chairs with two small lounges with sofa and coffee table. Decor needs TLC but its a very casual space for a relaxed meal and drink. Its not busy so has only one staff serving and working at the till. However, Owner needs to train whoever is working to actually serve customers rather than just sitting at the till.

The food was ok. But the wait was far too long

Best avoided. Towards the end of our meal, the owner and 6 mates lit up cigarettes and various other combustibles whilst keeping the steel shutters down. We tried to leave but it took forever to get the card payment machine to work. Total downer to what wasn't a cheap meal in the first place. Would give zero star if possible... 😏

The service staff are patently rude and have no regards for customers. They shout and walk off when spoken to .

Probabaly the worst service I’ve encountered. I went in for a take away and stood by the bar. It was obvious I wanted to order as the lady taking orders looked at me. She was about to take my order when her friend walked in. She had a full blown conversation for about 15 minutes and ignored me. I left without buying anything. APPALING

The food was nice, but it takes ages to serve. Plus the most annoying things Is when you order a two plate course the second plate with the sides comes in 20 minutes while your first plate already got cold.
