The Crown in Barking and Dagenham

It was my first trip, and staying at The Crown was a pretty good experience, friendly staff, comfortable beds, kind people.

Really nice place to stay. Nice staff! And also not far from the Power Station.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Leigh was super helpful checking me in. Zero complaints.

Spent one night on Saturday 8th and I have bed bug bites all over my body. The place was grim.Decent enough pub for a drink but do yourself a favour don't ever stay here.

I had the pleasure of staying here 3 nights and would recommend as cheap, Room w as clean and the beds comfortable. Lee the Bar lady is very polite and helpful and we're available to help in my needs, The showers are spacious and clean too, I've also stayed at another Publove Green man and had a very similar experience. Mark was an easy and welcoming host despite my late check-in. The facilities, even the restrooms, were clean and abundant, and the bed was quite comfortable. Could not hear any of the noise from down below in the pub either. An easy place to stay

Cute little hostel, great that it had the bar attached Mark made us pizza at 4am and I could not be more grateful, all the staff have been so lovely

this place offered one of the best value for money accommodation I had ever experienced in London. When you’re thinking of having just a place to rest after a long night I think this is probably a good shout without breaking banks. The location could be closer to town but they made it up with excellent staff that really takes care of you, especially Zack who checked us in, Mark who kept the place safe after hours, and Lee for helping us with the checkout. Would come again.

All the staff were so welcoming - the two at check in (Zak and Scott) were super helpful getting us settled and even arranged for us to be in a room with friends. Lee was also lovely at checkout - they made everything safe and easy! :)

This place is a short ride to the centre. It has a large bar area high is relaxed . The bedroom area is nice and modern too. Importantly the staff including Leigh and Morris are really helpful

Checked in late at 1 am, Maurice was very good and the checkin was smooth. I stayed in hostel and the bed was comfortable and room was warm. The pillow was a bit hard for my liking. Stayed for one night only. Sam was very nice on check out.

I stayed at The Crown and was really impressed with the quality of service compared to the incredibly low price. The hostel offers clean, comfortable and well-equipped rooms at a price that is difficult to find anywhere else. Despite the low cost, quality is never compromised: the staff is always friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is welcoming and you have everything you need for a pleasant stay. The location is perfect, in the heart of the city, and allows you to easily explore the main attractions. If you are looking for a cheap hostel but with all the necessary comforts, The Crown is undoubtedly the ideal choice. An excellent quality-price ratio that does not disappoint

The girls took great care of us.

Exceptional quality and service. They were very kind to store the luggage of 14 colleagues and 1 soldier who will fall in battle in 2 months. The room was very spacious for the 15 people from Malaga who went on a bachelor party. Clean and well-equipped toilets for the Duchaja, who were not few. They offer you at breakfast, one rewiew one coffee latte and Jason Momoa. We would go again without a doubt. Thanks to The Crown for hosting us and leaving us all the facilities so we could continue with the party.

Cheap for a reason, although I booked in advance. I’m seeing beds for tonight going for 211 POUNDS!? Stay clear away from here especially for that price, beds are some of the noisiest I’ve ever stayed in, on top of that they’re nasty too, weird stains and everything is super beat up, hearing people complain about bed bug rashes🤢 the whole floor smells like poo when you enter the hostel area. Majorly not worth it just pony up a little extra cash for a better place and steer clear

I recently stayed at the crown and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was greeted with a warm smile.

Was a great stay, loved the stay, was very pleased with the rooms as it was tidy and neat, no noise keeping you up during the night, cheap deals on food and great offers on drinks, much highly recommended, my man Mathis is top man here was up early in morning sorting me out with the deals on offer making a fine cappuccino

The beer called super8 was delicious. We headed to the airport at night, as transportation was suspended on Christmas.

I had a fantastic experience at PubLove @ The Crown Battersea! The atmosphere was lively yet cozy, and the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The pub downstairs added a unique charm to the hostel. The location is convenient, with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions. A special shoutout to Lee and Sam – they were incredibly friendly and helpful.

It was really suitable and clean, plugs for phone charging at every single bed, bathrooms is okay, no bad smell anywhere at all which really good. Thank you Zac, Morris and Lee. Thanks so much and happy new year.

Had a lovely experience. The rooms and showers are clean and airy, without bad smell. All the staff are kind and helpful.

The room was clean, though needs better ventilation or turning radiators down a touch as it got extremely sweaty & stuffy, beds were comfy enough, showers/bathrooms were fine too. Location wise its in a bit of a random area but there’s bus stops right outside!

Scott and Zac were very helpful for checking in with us.

I used this hotel during my stay in London. It was close to the city and the staff were excellent. The ground floor is a pub, so I enjoyed that too!

Clean rooms, comfy bed, great facilities and lovely friendly staff!

The staff are so kind and I could relax a lot and sleep well. The bathroom and toilet are separated from the sleeping room. It’s a very good point for me. Also, we can go to the London central by bus from the nearest bus stop( just in one minute).

I booked for 4 days and here is so good. I arrived very early in the morning and the reception guy told me that I can stay for long time. I took good time in the reception floor which is cozy and nice pub. And about my staying, bed is so clean and nice. I don't have to take it back to reception the bed sheet and I like it hahaha. Also the bathroom and showerplace is big and there are number of it, many people can use. The only bad thing here is the distant from the toursist place and center. It takes quite time to come to hostel and travel. But I think staying is worth it👍👍

Amazing stay with clean rooms. It is a five for me.

This is a charming and welcoming restaurant where you can have a nice time. There are many board games here that you can play with friends and family. There is also a small hostel that offers comfortable accommodation for backpackers on 2 floors and 9 rooms.

Had a fantastic stay here as well as finding great company behind the bar. Watson is a true master of his craft and it was a pleasure to have him serve us, we will definitely be coming back!!

We go regularly and really love it - can't comment on the hostel, but the pub is perfect for a chill pint and a fab pub quiz on Sundays. Pub food is very good, great burgers!

There is no problem for everything basically. You will get same as you pay. No expectation. I was looking for an accommodation as cheap as possible so it was perfect for me. I could sleep and pretty safe.

It's a very loving and healthy place to stay.

This was my first hostel experience and it would have been fine, except that on my last day I got woken up by bedbug bites. I suffered bed bug allergies all over my body the rest of my vacation which was very inconvinient. Also, the bathrooms stink. Plus side though was the staff and location. Overall nope, I won't be booking there again.

Went in for a drink and a little bit of peace and that’s exactly what I’ve got :)

We found bedbugs in their beds, the main reason for canceling the reservation and leaving the place, the hallways and bathrooms were unkempt, we had reserved a room with three beds but when we arrived, one bed was already occupied. Although the staff provided good treatment, they refunded the reservation and you can get to the hotel by public transportation, I would only recommend improving the hygiene of the rooms and providing maintenance.

I loved The Crown. The staff is really friendly, the rooms, although small and optimized, are well appointed. Very clean, both the room and the bathroom! The pub's food and beers are a real comfort! I stayed with them twice, in the women's room.

It is very close to the embassy. It is convenient to apply for a US visa. The service is also very good. However, the water in the public bathroom does not flow all the time, which is not convenient.
