Eastbrook Cafe & Restaurant in Barking and Dagenham

I stopped here on the way back from a walk in the country park. As it was warm it was very busy, there were chairs and tables available but there didn’t seem to be anyone clearing the tables. We sat on a small wall outside for our drinks. There was a big queue and only one person serving, you can use cash and card here to pay. The coffee was good, lots of cold drinks and treats to have. You can order food here as well. It has lots of children here as there is a play park next to the cafe. There was also a children’s party going on, so lots of little ones running around and being noisy. So if you don’t like this then maybe but the place for you. I think this a little quieter during school time, so nice then for a quiet coffee. It’s great to see a place like this in a local country park.

Limited parking, no seating & the tea was mostly ice. I was expecting to sit down and enjoy lunch. Instead I was forced to get take out and they tried to convert me to their religion. The food was pretty good, but I had to eat it in my car.

Marcus catered a party for me at the last minute. We had Salmon bites, shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles. Everything was hot and tasted great!

Wonderful food and service. Building is old and a little run down. But worth the trip!

Only criticism was the panini’s could have been cooked just a little longer, but the filling’s were delicious. Staff very friendly and it was lovely to sit in the sun watching the world go by 😃

We often go for a walk in the country park, today we decided to have a coffee in the cafe. It is always very busy in this cafe, especially when the weather is nice. Many dog walkers stop here and there is a children’s play area just outside. There is seating inside and outside, toy area for children, plenty of tables and chairs to sit at. We had coffees and a bacon sandwich, it’s not cheap but it’s all helping the local community so we are pleased to help. They offer all great menu with hot and cold food, ice creams and hot drinks. If you visit the park try this cafe.

I decided to give this place a try today I'm glad I did, food was great. The owner right there taking care of business. Very clean place too. Fried catfish was excellent 👌

Very underwhelming. The service, portion size, and taste were all less than spectacular; especially for the price. Also, the collards were way too salty.

Food was okay but roaches ran across the floor while we were eating breakfast. Many patrons got up and left without paying.

Very friendly service and delicious freshly cooked food. Good value. The cafe is owned by very kind people who helped me out when my Dad had a fall outside the café.

Really nice and cozy. Felt right at home. I ordered the veggie omelette and it was amazing. Also, my server was great!!! I would definitely recommend going here if you have never been.

I work out of town so the only time I get to eat here is when I'm off but I always enjoy a really good breakfast here; they also have a really good lunch.

I'm an OTR truck driver, and hands down this is the best meal I've had while on the road. If you are looking for good home cooked food this is your spot. If I'm ever back in the area I will be back..

Lunch was delicious and the service was excellent. The Mac and cheese, mmmm! The scalloped potatoes were awesome, also. The chicken and dumplings were good. My momma made them differently, so they weren't my favorite. I wish they made hot rolls. Otherwise, fantastic!!

Eastbrook Cafe has amazing customer service, and it has bold flavor to top it off! I recommend this place to anyone that hasn’t been before. Also, if you’re looking for great soul food, this is the spot!

Price is good. Fast service with a smile. We went back for lunch because the breakfast was so good. The lunch portion was like dinner size.

Great dumplings...not much chicken. Had group of about 30 & they did pretty well with this large group. My sides were ok, but not hot by the time I got them. Great, warm peach cobbler. Others said really good friend chicken, friend catfish v& country fried steak.

Ehh its okay! I had chicken and it was cooked too long. I did not like the flavor of the crust. The squash casserole was pretty good. Their desserts is my favorite!

Hidden gem! Everything was great! I had the corned beef hash which is made in house, highly recommend! The tomato bisque was great too! My boyfriend had an omelet and he was impressed. Amanda was our server and she was a delight! The prices were very reasonable! :)

It has been a few years since I been there. Went back because we use to eat there during launch. The food quality has gone down. We won't be going back.

My food was cooked perfectly. Great eggs over easy, crispy hash browns, and delicious ham. Perfect portions at perfect prices. Best little diner in town.
