Orange Pekoe in Richmond upon Thames

This could have been a lovely meet up with friends and we were even prepared to overlook the average food as we were having an enjoyable time. However, some of the staff/mmnt are arrogant in manner and think they are doing you a favour by letting you visit. We won't be returning.

I liked their menu and their options. Food was good and the cake and juice as well, but as soon as I finished the juice they literally wanted to get rid of me ( e.g. asking two times in 3 minutes if I wanted something else), and then bringing the bill without having asked for it. I felt very stressed and won’t go there again.

This is my favourite coffee shop and I think the coffee is delicious. The staff are really pleasant and I go out of my way to come here when I fancy a treat. One of the lovely staff paints the beautiful windows -she is very talented.

Great selection of three salads and we had some of each, good value for first class food.Tea was good as you would expect and there is a mouthwatering selection of cake.Yep, it’s not cheap but it’s good quality and in Barnes !

Walking the Thames Path and stopped here while passing through Barnes for a tea stop. The tea was lovely, lots of choice. Similar for the coffee. Hot chocolate is dark chocolate so not popular with the boys. A club sandwich was also good. Expensive for what we received. Trendy London prices. Beware. Will not be returning but I can imagine it is popular with people in the local area.

There is always such a queue for this place and I now get why. Stopped off here on my way through and had such a good matcha latte walking along the river. Love.

Lucky me, I was the recipient of a voucher for afternoon tea for 2 at Orange Pekoe for my birthday from great mates. Finally after lockdown we were able to go this week. I rang up a couple of days before to book as we wanted to go earlier than traditional teatime (I would never be able to eat all of it, if I had lunch before!)). It was a delightful experience to do with one's daughter. First we had quite large finger sandwiches, 4 different types : coronation chicken, smoked salmon dill and cream cheese, egg mayo and parma ham pesto and rocket. Then we had a scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Finally we could choose 2 pieces of cake (they are really big), we went for rocky roads and rose/pistachio cake. Obviously we were so full, they came home in a doggy bag and even when we ate them 2 days later (yes we were that full!), they tasted as if they had been just made. We both chose our own teas : an Orange blossom one (smelt strong but delicate flavour) and a blooming rose/rose bud one (just so lovely). What an awesome treat it was for us both! Food was delicious and the staff treated us like princesses. Thank you

Newly revamped Pekoe looks great. Because of lockdown, we hadn’t been for a long time. If anything, it has improved - although difficult to do so since it’s always been superlative. I had the most wonderful avocado toast with feta and pumpkin seeds and my daughter pancakes yoghurt jam and crispy bacon! All beautifully presented. I live in the SW of London and know of no other place serving comparable classy food in a cosy inviting ambiance. Very friendly service. 5 stars.

Lovely cafe in Barnes for both coffee & lunch! Visited many times and staff are always so nice and helpful. Good choices on menu. Highly recommend

Tea i (nästan) alla dess smaker och former är signum för denna inrättning. Men utöver tea serveras en fantastisk afternoon tea med touch av julkryddor under december. Här blir man garanterat mätt och väldigt belåten. Rekommenderas!

Their crab with avocado chilli and poached egg brunch is awesome ! The selection of teas are mind boggling - so far we've tried four - all amazing and great value. A brilliant local cafe with fresh and delicious produce and a chilled atmosphere.

It's lovely to sit outside on a sunny day, afternoon tea and scones delicious! I will be a regular of this place in the future - have tried takeaway cappuccino in the morning too - service always with a smile :)

They do a really excellent afternoon tea! We enjoyed the variety of teas and food, particularly the scones and cakes. Needless to say, we are fans!
