Oodles - Oxford Road - Manchester in Manchester

This is not Chinese or Japanese cuisine, it is awful...the salt and pepper chicken wasn't even deep fried and was tomato based. The katsu curry was disgusting. It has actually made me quite ill and spent a lot of the night on the toilet. Do not eat here...they cannot cook.

The noodles pack a decent punch. Prices are fair, but the vibe is a bit lacking. It's a passable choice for a quick noodle fix.

Went there for nearly two weeks in a row because they gave me amazing discount vouchers during freshers week. I haven’t been able to use it even once. Each time I walk in with a voucher they make an excuse of “system down” or “system not working”. I really wanted to try their items so I have ordered different box sizes with noodles and rice. Not a single day they have had consistent taste or texture for any item. Something as simple as chips comes eye watering spicy or bland as cardboard. It’s a lotto really. I regret paying their full prices thinking they genuinely have issues with their voucher system. But two weeks in, I know they just use vouchers to lure in new students and then sell sub par items during lunch time with no regard for customer service. I would recommend going to subway or KFC if you want decent food. If you really crave noodles, China town is only a 5-7 min walk away at much cheaper prices.

Disgusting food. Somehow everything was soggy. The noodles had a taste of what I can only describe as burnt plastic. The katsu… had no sauce and was dry, tough horrible chicken. The caramel chicken, equally tough and bitty - the flavour was not nice at all. The egg fried rice? Best described as over boiled rice with the minute bit of egg thrown in. It’s just a hot mess. Avoid. I had three bits and three the rest away.

Went here today with a friend and witnessed the so called chef drop chicken on the dirty floor then picked it up and put it back in a big white tub with the rest of the chicken, disgusting. Also wiping their sweaty heads with their hands then touching raw chicken. Vile. AVOID !!

The chicken was so tough it asked me for a fight twice! What was done to the udon noodles… I was about to call child services! An overpriced, tasteless hot mess! If you’re peckish and this is the only place still open, then go hungry! For context, I ordered a large box with spicy chips, udon noodles, chilli chicken as the main and S&P chicken as dry main. Large size is the new small apparently?

Ordered online £10.49 x2 and £11.99 for another! What a waste of money! Hard cubed chicken tasted like it had been frozen cubed chicken! Undercooked rice, mushy prawns! All of it went straight in the bin!! Disgusting!!!! Do not go!!!!

Visited because of a 25% student offer - the selection of food is very good and the interior of the restaurant is nice. Would recommend for all to try, but I'm not in a particular rush to revisit when hello oriental is 2 mins around the corner!

We found this place by accident looking for somewhere to eat by the theatre. My mum and I both love spicy food and this didn’t disappoint! We got the large box with a drink which was a lunchtime special for £8.99. We got chilli chicken, salt and pepper chicken, spicy chips and vegetable noodles. The spicy chips were 100% delicious an very spicy were both in love! Everything else was so tasty too. Will definitely come back again

I visited Saturday lunchtime. Absolutely rude. There was no one else at the place. They were not rushed off their feet. The server said you want chopsticks or what. I asked about how it works, sorry but I’d never been here before. Never coming back. I don’t know why I stayed and completed the order as they were so rude to both myself and my friend. I ended up throwing the food away. The whole place left a bad taste.

Jay who’s the store manager full of rubbish doesn’t know how to run a store at all. RANG ME ONCE TO APOLOGIES AND MAKE A FALSE PROMISE AFTER THAT COMPLAINED EACH ORDER NO RESPONSE JUST HIDES. The staff they recruit arrogant, unethical and totally disrespectful. Been a customer here for a while every time my orders are wrong Javed in the back is the only true credit to this store as he has previously tried to sort the order but no way is this store fit for a city centre concept they don’t know how to check order. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPT AND ORDER THESE GUYS AT THE MANCHESTER AND CHEETHAM HILL BRANCH ARE NOT FIT TO TAKE ORDERS.

I ordered a large box and received a medium, I ordered spicy chips and noodles and all I was given was noodles. Wrong order ! The second order was not given Singapore rice as per order ! I order for 2 or a group of 12 and I go home to find out both orders are wrong. This is the 3rd time after giving them chances to redeem themselves. I called the shop to inform them of the mistake and was told “next time will be better” does this really make me want to keep going back and ordering? The service is not good and it’s unfortunate as these mistakes are picked up when you come home with the order. Sort it out !

The food. Drink. Attentive staff deserve 10/10. The chefs deserve 10/10. Mansoor Manager made all our visits so enjoyable with his hospitable manner. Cleanliness & service excellent. The food here is absolutely terrible to be honest. I didn't mind the udon noodles or torpedo prawns but that was about it. The Singapore rice is the very worst I've ever tasted, it was nothing like Singapore rice and just tastes like they've put a ghost chilli in it. I like hot food but this was really awful and my friend who also likes hot food hated it to. I felt really ill after and had to go home. Terrible experience

Not good at all, rice was uncooked and chicken was mushy and bland. Hoping maybe was a new chef or trainee, but we really didn’t enjoy our meals

We get Oodles pretty regularly as they are absolutely perfect portions to have for dinner and then save some for lunch the next day. They are always really happy to take the meat out of things for me so that I can have the sauces...

Amazing food, really tasty. Fantastic service by Rommel (apologies if misspelt). Rommel let us taste the food first before choosing and was really helpfully and friendly. Top man

I bought for the first time their products but I will not return more in there. I ordered udon noodles but were horrible not appetizing and the chicken was dry like something cooked and re cooked again. I gave 7.50£ for free. Half of that...

Both dishes were spicy, despite us not picking spicy meals. Prawns were soggy and tasted of nothing but oil. £30 for food which couldn't be eaten.

I bought a large takeaway box which was dreadful.. a tiny box stuffed to the brim with so much spice that you couldn't even taste the meats... won't be going here again in a hurry

Never had anything from oodles before, very impressed, shop very clean, nice polite staff, fast and tasty. Manager of this paticular branch is a top guy very helpful, friendly and seems to run a tight ship, even got complementary mochi ice cream. Would defo return...

I ordered 20mins ago online, I turn up and I see 2 staff sat on the floor playing on their phones, they forgot to do my order, waited another 5/10mins to get my food ready. Not good, what's is the point ordering online????

We had an Uber delivered to our hotel. The food was fantastic... so much flavour and the portions were fantastic value
