I got poisoned with that beef in szechuan style. I had my evening dinner yesterday in this place and ordered beef with rice. It was not bad. But at the morning I couldn’t wake up and had dizziness and nausea. Probably it was not fresh meat. Never will back again.

we stumbled in here and we had a wonderful experience. we loved the salt and pepper spareribs, followed by the prawn dim sum and then the crispy duck with pancakes-all very good Out of curiosity I decided to look at the reviews and was surprised to see that they were so low. Had we seen them? We probably wouldn't have come in herre but we did we had we had a great experience.

Ordered a pork chow mien with noodles, and when it came, it was overloaded with sauce, the pork resembled jelly and had no flavor. I have still the lingering flavor of jelly in my mouth 24 hours later. Worst Chinese I have ever had. Avoid at all costs. Disgusting

Went in to collect a takeaway. Service very friendly and atmosphere was cosy while we waited. Food was okay, just pretty standard but it was quite expensive. Definitely was not good value for money.

This is my third time here. The authentic Sichuan cuisine cooked by Sichuan fellows is the absolute best in British Sichuan cuisine. Don’t be fooled by Google ratings.

We did dine in at this restaurant. Taste is spectacular. We asked to reduce spicyness ,they modified the dishes to reduce spicy taste. We ate pork intestine ,very tasty. Grilled fish was also great. Braised pork was very tender and tasty. Service was great. We would come back again and recommend to everyone who loves Chinese foods and Szechuan dishes.

I am korean and I was traveling around chinatown In manchester. I saw some good reviews from google maps and I decided to eat here. Tbh it was worst and very upset experience I ever had. The girl with the glasses just started to speaking chinese to me. They just considered me as a chinese because I am asian. And also, after I finished the meal, I asked for the bill earlier than other customers, and they took more than 10m to get my bill(even though I said to them I have bus to take), and meanwhile other customers that asked something much later than me they got the all the services Because of this, I had to miss the bus. I think they only cares about english(or mostly white) customers. At least as far as I can see. Truly disgusting.

If you like Korean food, you should definitely come here!! Mara Xianggu and fried eggplant are crazy. Just the taste we know! I didn't know either of their names and ordered with a photo, but they took care of it and ordered 2 chickpeas and 2 rice for 52 pounds.

Loved the food, had the spicy noodles (can't remember the name) it was enough food for 2 meals. The woman that served me was really nice very chatty. I'll be going back next time I'm in Manchester.

Authentic Szechaun food. I had braised pork, with side orders of tripe and aubergine dishes. Very good meal, large portions. Good service.

Had the hotpot buffet. The food was Spicey and feeling. There were language barriers (I speak only English) but we managed to pull through our order. Loved the variety of proteins.

We planned for a Chinese dinner around china town in Manchester. The restaurant we wanted to eat at had a long waiting queue. So we just popped in next door to this outlet. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Good service and very quick, we got the food served in less than 10 minutes. The food is nothing fancy, felt like a home cooked meal….Nothing fancy just OK.

The food was great, right amount of savoury and spiciness. You can taste the authenticity of the dishes!

The spiciness is niceeeee, that's what I am looking for at a Szechuan style restaurant, the Szechuan Tantan noodle is a must try bowl! Knew it would be great as soon as I saw the server put it on the table for us to try. I absolutely love the flavours of the dishes we've gotten! Would love to come again very soon to try some of the well-known dishes on the menu gradually!

Food was good and set meal fair price. Great friendly service. Soft drinks a little expensive but expected this. Worth a visit. Would eat here again.

The staff were attentive and the food arrived within 5-10 mins and was delicious. Authentic Chinese food with genuine Chinese staff. Will definitely be coming back!

Food is simply store bought and deep frozen. Dim sums comes to your table still in the shape in which those were frozen and the filling taste like the cheapest pork pie. Sauces for the main courses are all similar starchy anf full of sugar with familiar taste of powdered stock from chineese all you can eat buffets. Portions are huge mostly for shearing but the food is overpriced. The dining area is dirty and unpleasant. And with all that they still charge extra 10% of service charge and give you recomended tips for stuff on the bill. Ridiculous.

Really delicious and authentic Chinese food (we had a clay pot dish, fish fragrant pork, red oil chaoshou, special sauce aubergine, cumin lamb skewers, some dim sum), lovely service, relaxed atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend and come again.

Our overall view was that it was an acceptable meal, but not one that we would rave about. It was a clean restaurant and the tables looked fine. Service was good and staff were very pleasant. I liked the crispness of the veg within the mains dish but found the flavour bland.

La atención es perfecta a pesar de mi bajo nivel de inglés, y la comida es MUY abundante, sabrosa y de buena calidad. Un detalle a valorar es que para beber pedí agua y directamente me sirvieron un vaso (sin coste), cuando podrían haberme vendido una botella, que relamente es lo que yo pedía. Este detalle pa parece muy humilde a favor del restaurante. 100% recomendable

Food is tasty and portions large. Mostly bulk and fast cooking with little attention to presentation. Most dishes almost look the same when presented. Prices are reasonable for portion size.

We chose this restaurant at random, some had queues outside, others were empty, this one had a couple of occupied tables but I didn't know this at the time. I just didn't want to queue...I found out later that people were going by reviews on various sites. FOOLS. We were seated in lovely surroundings, given wonderful service and ate a beautifully prepared meal. The price was more than reasonable and the whole evening was most enjoyable. 👌

Reasonable quality and value but beware, the ADD 10% service charge on even though the service isn't brilliant. The £24.50pp banquet is way too much food so darn good value!

Don't let the modest decor put you off. The service and the food we enjoyed late on Wednesday night were exceptional. A long time since I have had such a fab Chinese meal. Excellent value for money for superb food. Great friendly service to boot. Well recommend

Went in this restaurant as the one I intended to was unexpectedly closed. The food was nice, friendly service, clean table. Overall no complaints, but they did add a service charge onto the bill so didn't leave a tip ! Also they took the chopsticks away when we sat down and gave us a spoon and fork, so I could only assume they thought we wouldn't be able to use them?. The food we had was good though.

Came pretty close to closing time, and expected to be turned away, but they happily accepted us (a large group), drinks took an unusually long time to come, perhaps bevause theyre not often making cocktails? Alas, the cocktail glasses were so quirky, it made up for the wait. Food... divine. Delicious. Delectable. The really tacky and basic, generic decor should be enough to make this rating lower, but everything else made this visit so wonderful. Would highly recommend for a solid Chinese food outing. Very reasonably priced.

I had an amazing experience at the Asian restaurant! The service was outstanding from start to finish, the staff were attentive and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. I enjoyed every dish that was served, from the appetizers to the main course and dessert. The ambiance of the restaurant was also very pleasant, and added to the overall experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Best prawn toast I've ever had. A group of 8 of us visited late on a Sunday night and had a delicious meal. The service was friendly and attentive. Our only complaint was that a 10% service charge was added to the bill without asking us, which we asked to be removed - we would otherwise have left a tip anyway! Based on our experience, I can't understand the low ratings given to this restaurant

Visited here after the first 3 Chinese we went to were full. It was busy and we got the last table but the service was none existent. The food came out a bit at a time, with part of our order coming then part of another two tables then the rest came out. There were only two of us so it wasn’t like they were having to bring lots of dishes out. All the food was cold which put me off and tasted just ok. The drinks came after the food arrived. Nobody did a check back at any point during the meal and I wanted another drink but did without as nobody came around. They automatically add a 10% service charge which I think is wrong when there was no service and the restaurant is cold and in need of refurbishment and the tables are squashed very close together. Shame we didn’t get in elsewhere.

The minute we walked through the door the waitress removed the dim sum bowls and chopsticks from our table and passed us a menu in English and put down a fork and spoon. This menu was plastic and half the thickness of the wooden one with Chinese writing and lovely pictures that had been given to the Asian people already eating. I found this quite offensive. I had gone to China Town to eat genuine Chinese food. The salt and pepper ribs had no meat on them. The egg friend rice was tasteless, as was the seafood curry. The ‘fillet of beef’ in Cantonese sauce was definitely not. It was cheap beef and slimy and only came with a pile of onions. The only thing I enjoyed was the seaweed. The decor was dated and there were splashes of old food on the wallpaper next to the table. They also added on a 10% service charge without asking. And it was very expensive for what it was. Not impressed.

My first visit to Szechuan Kitchen was one I'll never forget, the choice of banquets was excellent, the food was first class and plenty for four people. If you are a fan of Chinese cuisine you have a treat in store. 10/10

Food was some of best we have eaten of this type of cuisine excellent. Prices reasonable. Staff friendly. More like a cafe than a restaurant as only small. Very well well lit so wouldn't choose for romantic atmosphere, but practical and clean. Would recommend.

I found this little restaurant by chance, and I was delighted. I really don't understand the mean and horrible reviews on here because the food, service and overall experience was fine. Good value for money mixed seafood fried noodles (which DID NOT upset my stomach!). Staff very friendly and dish was good, tasty and piping hot. The only thing I would say is that they were a bit mean with the chilli oil. Otherwise, all was good and I shall return.
