Oodles Chinese in Bolton - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

On the 25/2/24 at approximately 1145AM I made an order via Uber Eats to order food whiles I was on my lunch break however the delivery driver got to my address at approximately 1244PM which I was not available as I had the the address to go back to work as I’d advised Uber on Ubers customer support. I requested a refund from Uber but was denied. I know this has nothing to do with the takeaway however I think that it’s important that my poor customer experience is shared.

Shocking service! Ordered on justeat and not all the order arrived, so we phoned and explained and we were told they weren’t prepared to deliver missing items and if we wanted them we’d have to come and collect. Very rude and unprofessional.

Ordered a regular box with S&P chicken received a saver box with no chicken at all. 3rd time in a row the order was incomplete at delivery, called them again and without even offering a replacement their stance was "you need to ask a refund through Deliveroo". The prices are now preposterous, hygiene has gotten worse, I cannot reccommend this place less

hi is the worst place to go to eat do not be fooled by the local so well furnished and new machinery the food is not healthy at maximum levels with an excessive use of sugars and salt in imaginable, plus and a fake Chinese food I tell you this for your health, ps plus it's not worth the money spent

Been today on 29th of January at approximately half 10pm.ordered a large combination box and extra fries for my little one. Came home opened the box and came ocross this. From the pictures u can tell what standard these guys serving food. Avoid at all cost

Rubbish food , un cooked, too pricey, rubbish service, went with kids and when food arrived every one took one bite and rest of in bin , completely money wasted we would never recommend to any one go there this is honest review 100% true experience

The food tasted disgusting, had clearly been reheated - chicken was dry and chewy and the chips were soggy. Prawn crackers were £3 for a half full bag. I wish I had seen the previous reviews before ordering because I feel like I might as well of set a £20 note on fire as both meals ended up in the bin!

I usually get oodles about once a month and it’s pretty decent on average..but today was horrible!!! I had ordered rice and noodles with chicken, and the chicken was hard! I thought it might have been only one piece but there were a few undercooked pieces of chicken. Also for the past few times I’ve been adding continuous notes asking for chopsticks...and it’s probably been the fourth time I’ve asked and haven’t received. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again!

I order food from here and when I start to eat it I found what I can only describe as green mould in my food,I am 4 and half months pregnant and find this very uncomfortable not knowing what the reason to this I could have. When we rang they to discuss this and they was rude and didn’t care what we had found.I would avoid this place as they don’t seem to follow the health and safety guide lines nor do they seem to care about there customers health .

when I last ordered, the cashier got my order wrong meaning that I had to pay more and get what I didn't want. they didn't even fix the problem or give an apology. all I got was an "it's fine man". also, it costs six pounds for a small box, which to me sounds expensive. the food however was average. I would recommend not going there again

Food is tasteless. No flavour at all. It used to be good when it 1st opened not its horrible... stay away

Missed items refused to replace, no apology, the food we got was bland and tasteless threw most if it away, have just ordered from some were else as we are still hungry, got a partial refund as we ordered through uber eats, wouldn't go anywhere near thus place again

Tried to order through online and Oodles cancelled the order. Next week tried again but this time the order was delivered without my noodle box! I phoned up to ask about it and even though this was their fault they wouldn't send the box I had paid for and gave no apology. They did offer to send a free noodle box with my next order even though I pointed out that I was hungry tonight and was left with nothing to eat. Having seen and tasted my partners noodle box we will never be eating from Oodles again. The £8.50 box is tiny and the food tastes awful, neither of us could finish the box that my partner did receive even though it's only 4.5 inches x 5 inches! Extremely poor value even if it was edible! I wish I had seen all the 1 star reviews before I ordered from this place!!

Piping hot, freshly cooked, lightly spiced, quick delivery. First order and we were so very pleased with our food. Choose your box size, add up to 4 dishes and voila-lots of choice on the menu including vegetarian options. Paneer to die for. We will return 👍🏼

I was very very disappointed with the telephone manner of the staff who took my order two nights ago. I’m not one to complain often but feel compelled to on this occasion. I called the Bolton branch at approx 8pm for the phone to ring out for a while before it was answered. The staff member answers with a hello and then asked me to wait.. the phone was placed to the side where I could hear staff and customers and eventually after two minutes somebody picked up the phone. When I mentioned the wait, the staff member was extremely rude and said “do u want me to take your order or not?” And “don’t tell us how to do our job.. we are busy in the shop. What would you rather we didn’t answer at all”. I was very taken aback by their order and considered cancelling but it was my sons takeaway request. I asked them to take my order and was then told I was being passed on to somebody else because he was annoyed. The manner was dreadful. The second staff member took my order so hurriedly and without checking that it was wrong when it came. I asked them them how long and was told they wouldn’t start to make it until I arrived at the shop which kind of defeated the point of placing the telephone order. I did not want to face the staff because of the way they had behaved on the phone so asked my husband to pick up the order. When he arrived home and I checked the order it was wrong.. they had missed the noodles on one order and missed chips in the other. Because of the earlier behaviour I did not feel they would care at all that my order was incorrect and quite possibly blame me for incorrectly placing it. I have vowed never to order from there again. Oodles Bolton you will never be hearing from us again and I will be sure to tell others of my experience.

I collected a take away on the evening of Friday 12 June 2020. The next day I, and my three children were very ill with gastroenteritis. My eldest son has been extremely unwell with having to go to the toilet 10 to 12 times in a morning or afternoon. Urgent medical treatment sought. GP: If it was not for COVID-19 my son would almost certainly have been admitted to hospital. It is now almost a week and my son is still not well. My wife did not eat the food and was fine. It seems obvious it was the food from Ooddles that has caused the food poisoning. Thankfully I and my other two children were not so severely ill but it affected us too. I spoke by telephone to Abdul Wahab at the Oddles Bolton on Tuesday 16 June 2020. He was very defensive. No apology. No acceptance that it could be food that caused the problem, My concern was to trace others who might also be ill. He said there had been 300 other orders so he could not do it. I made clear I was not after a refund or money or a discount. I was just worried for my son and for other customers who might also have been poisoned by the store's food. Abdul Wahab said his owner/manager was called Mr Shakeel Musa and that he would contact me. Despite having my e-mail address and telephone numbers there has been no contact from Shakeel Musa, Abdul Wahab or anyone else. I have waited two days for him to contact me and I am posting this review almost a week after the food poisoning because of the failure to respond by Oodles and because of my worry for my son and others out there. Shocking. I am very worried that this establishment is making people ill and might end up killing someone if it carries on in this fashion. Food poisoning is very serious. It must be taken seriously by this establishment. I note from other reviews such as one from Yasmin J for the Blackburn Oddles that there have been problems recently. it is not good enough to be poisoning customers. If you cannot take care of our health then do not open your store. It is as simple as that.

Fab! Great food. Tasty, spicy, plenty. The lot. Thoroughly enjoyed and definitely will be going again soon.

Very tasty lamb curry would definitely recommend. Always timely delivery and quality food. Worth a try

My wife ordered food for take away but by no fault of Oodles, she didn't like it. I went back and explained the situation to them and they were happy to sort it. Great customer service

Tried this place a week ago and food was not good...Good portions but quality of food poor.Overall was disappointed with the food... busy initially yes... salt and peoper chicken spicy and using wrong black pepper..Staff are friendly as seeving until you get to the man seeking payment.. rude...If you want just grease and a slob sure its ok but for a day out meal.... skip it

BEST Asian-Chinese fusion food when you're craving some grease and spice. I don't mind taking a trip from Manchester for this food. Good vegetarian options too. The boxes are well priced for the quantity offered. The only complaints would be that They have stopped accepting card payments and the Chips could be better.

This a new halal Chinese fusion place selling noodles.We went during its initial opening offers, it was early days so not everything was right and the lines were long.The food was good, the family enjoyed the noodles but some tinkering was needed for improvements.

I've been visiting the original Oodles shop in Leicester for many years inspite of my critical feedback of how their service has deteriorated. However my visit to the new Bolton shop was refreshing. Very friendly and food was served promptly. The Bolton boys seem to have the whole operation well managed. The guys in Leicester should pay a visit to learn.

Tries this place a week ago and food was ok. Good sized portions.. food was tasty but gets boring if you get a large one. A week later i try again and this time round the food was sloppy. Didnt taste with the same quality.The lady serving was very friendly though... food not brilliant. Chinese food by chinese yes... salt and pepper chicken...word of simple advice... its not right... the wring peoper is being used... research it.Overall was disappointed with the food... busy initially yes, lets see if the high standards ate kept up....

As this is newly opened we thought we'd give it a go and were pleasantly surprised!! The food was fresh and delicious and the portions are generous too. The Singapore rice probably needs to come with a warning though as it is VERY VERY spicy and unfortunately it overpowered the other yummy food!! They forgot to add the chips in one of our boxes as well which is a shame but that's fine. There's an elderly gentleman on the counter and I have to say he is the epitome of brilliant customer service. There was unfortunately a long wait for the food and the number system may be adding to the tension somewhat cos were number 73 but people with numbers in 80's and above were getting served first. But this gentleman was so friendly and keeping everyone in a jovial mood so it was fine. My only complaint would be that there was a young lady who was filling the boxes at the front and didn't look like she was taking much pride in her work, she was almost like throwing the food into the boxes and some of it was falling out which could create cross contamination etc plus she kept taking out her mobile phone when really she could be serving food and reducing the delays. These are small issues that can be nipped in the bud as the food itself was lovely and I will definitely be returning!!

Went on the opening night. Everything was half price for one day. Waited 3.5hrs but worth the wait noodles, egg fried rice, saltnpepper chicken and Malaysian lamb. Absolutely awesome sure to be a big hit as every time we’ve been past since it’s been busy.

Superb food Very busy and long waiting times on opening day but this is to be expected Very consistent with the quality of the food and superb staff Iv ate at the other branches and this is a credit to the franchise.
