Food is so nice, tasty, we have tried every one Chinese Restaurant in Chinatown but this one is amazing, even it on second floor but it always full and customers keep coming. We definitely will come again. Best Chinese food Onlyyu oriental cuisine,,👍

Our 1st visit to Only Yu in Manchesters China town as soon as soon as arrived we got a very friendly warm welcome the service was 1st class from Simon our waiter he really looked after us and made it a special experience the food was amazing especially the steamed sea bass highly recommend Ony Yu we will definitely be back thank you

We came here for families weekend lunch and dinner every couple weeks, service and food is perfect,dim sum is Hongkong style and quality, dinner dishes is amazing too! So that is the reasons it be the best Chinese restaurant!

Had a disappointing experience here—waited 30 minutes just for a few dim sum dishes, which arrived cold. Prices were high for the quality and service provided. Not the value or experience I was hoping for.

There is free soup and sugar water in the evening. It tastes really good. I have been eating it for five years.

The seats are wide enough to lie down, and the food tastes better than similar Chinese restaurants, but the price is relatively expensive. I went at 6pm on a Sunday. There were not many people, but the food was served very slowly.

Came here for dinner with families, we don't know what's the best dishes but the waitress shows me the iPad photos menus, there are many amazing dishes, that's helpful! The meal is very nice tasty and service is perfect, nice Restaurant . Onlyyu could be the best Chinese Restaurant in Manchester .

I would say that “Only Yu” might just be the best dim sum restaurant in Manchester at the moment.

Not much to look at outside or the entrance. The plastic well worn table cloths do little to impress you. The restaurant situated in China Town is well located. The service was typical Chinese fast and efficient. The set early menu is good value. The soup starter was super hot but a little too thick and wallpaper paste consistency. The starters were large and delicious. The main course was an ample size for those with a normal appetite. Everything was hot and tasty. We noticed a number of dinners were having food from the full menu The portions looked very large. Overall if you look beyond the first impression and give the place a chance you will find efficient staff and quality good value food.

Silky smooth with a balance of texture from the crispy bits and peanuts. A great way to start the meal. • Crispy roasted pork: Absolutely mouthwatering! The pork had a perfectly crispy skin and tender, juicy meat inside. The accompanying dipping sauce added a nice depth of flavor. • Fried dumplings: These were crunchy and golden on the outside while remaining soft and flavorful on the inside. Every bite was a delight! • Braised meat in clay pot: A savory dish with tender meat and vegetables in a rich, flavorful sauce. It was warm, hearty, and deeply satisfying. The ambiance of the restaurant was also lovely, with friendly staff and quick service. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic and delicious cuisine!

Having visited many times, we absolutely love having dimsum and other dishes here at Only Yu. We took our family today who absolutely loved it! Even when they are packed, the food is served hot fresh and so delicious. The must orders are the crispy seafood rice rolls, roasted meats, stir fried veg and the mince meat yam parcels. Great for large groups and also solo eating! Staff are so lovely and we enjoy every visit when we come here.

The Chinese food in China Town in Manchester tastes better than the average British Chinese food. Order 6 dishes from the left, Yangzhou fried rice, stir-fried bone, and BBQ BBQ are all very good. Also comes free soup and dessert (purple rice dew). Attentive service and spacious space. It turns out that snacks are also served in the evening. I will try it next time I have a chance.

I thought I was going to Jade and realised the restaurant had a new name and I presume a new owner. All members of staff were so lovely and welcoming. Our server was very kind and patient explaining and recommending some of the dishes. The dim sum was really good, I cant wait to come back and try different ones. The portion of rice and noodles were quite generous, we had to take away some food. Overall a perfect experience.

The taste is by far the best Chinese food in Manchester, but the price is not the same. If several people order rice, they can order it for twenty or thirty pounds. Soup and dessert are provided for now.

The roasted duck meat was not good and stale. It used a lot of spices to cover it up, but the meat was not good and you could tell it as soon as you tasted it. I had high expectations and would not go there again. I was very disappointed.

food is always good. been there 4 times and it is always excellent. hargao, shumai and cheong fun is always good. staff there are also very efficient but service style is more towards the normal hk syle yum cha. ordering can either be on the order sheet or you let your server know when they take your order

Enjoyed the dim sum experience here today. Service is attentive, close by and constantly cleaning up, checking in. Food is really good. All dim sum tastes like it’s made from scratch and not from a freezer out of a factory. Enjoyed all the dishes, attention to detail on the custard baos is really good! Also loved the char siu pastry, note it’s made only some some days of the week. Highly recommend it to all! Best Chinese food experience in Manchester so far for me.

My friends and I go here quite a lot. Most weekends. The food is great: good quality and good portions. the staff are friendly and the place is nice and open and relaxed. Changed hands just over a year ago, food stayed excellent, but the staff are better (one man used to refuse us food because he said we ordered too much!).
