So I ate out of this Chinese shop on 16/06/2022. This is by far the worst food I’ve ever eaten. The chips tasted like they were coated in dust particles. The salt and pepper chicken was the lowest quality chicken I’ve ever had, it may have been a bad batch but that chicken tasted old. The beef chow mein was awful for numerous reasons. The noodles tasted like pot noodle noodles, the sauce was watery and the beef had the same texture as boot leather. It just wouldn’t go down. Had 3 bites of everything and binned the lot. Wouldn’t even feed this to a homeless person. The few bites I had made me feel queasy. The staff in the takeaway are friendly and the service was fast. (Maybe a bit too fast)

This is the Best Chinese in the area by far, always friendly and fast to serve! the only downside I would say is they don't take card payments.

Nice genuine neighbourhood Chinese chippy with all the choices you would expect. Salt and pepper wings were the best I've tried.

Went for a chippy tea, as you do of a Friday. The portion sizes of the chips are massive, as they always have been.

After trying so many Chinese takeaways in the area and always being disappointed ive finally found a great one. Would definitely recommend giving this place a go and can guarantee you wont be disappointed. Food is always spot on.

Amazing couple!! On Fri 11-Oct, I got admitted to NMGH Hospital A&E. At 22:15, I pass out when loaded on to theatre trolley for life-saving op. Consultant at hospital rings my wife and daughter for further consent, and they are both at Jackie's buying fish n' chips. Their phones die, so consultant rings them on Jackie's mobile. They get their food, and Jackie then drives them both to the hospital in Crumpsall. My op is successful, whilst my daughter eats her delicious meal in waiting area. I cannot wait to thank him and his wife, and then buy fish n' chips for the whole family because their food is always excellent.

Upon seeing there are only 3 reviews of Jackie’s and considering myself a veteran of the place (must’ve eaten from there about 50 times), I thought I better chip in. As it were. I’ll keep it reasonably short. The food is great. Delivery is fast and food stays hot. We always go for the chips, boiled rice and curry with a separate portion of mushrooms. The curry is the best, though you don’t need salt on it when you get it on the chips. It is salty enough. The portions of chips are humongous. Biggest I’ve ever encountered so go easy on your ordering. The peas aren’t mushy😭. That’s the only thing I don’t approve of. That said, most Chinese chippies don’t do mushy peas. It’s about time they did!

Best takeaway iv ever had..i get upset when they are not open and have to order else where. Absolutely excellent service! On Point. Just a minor , the chowmein is a little bit salty but may be it was just a one off, afterall who doesnt mess up the salt sometimes. Ha!

Amazing food, the best in the area! I'm a vegetarian who happens to love Chinese food. I've tried all the Chinese takeaways around and without doubt Jackie's chippy is the best by miles. Very very tasty food, I could kill for their fried broccoli and the vegetable chow mein is truly vegetarian , they never tried to trick me with just picking out the meat from the normal chow mein, unlike other takeaways around. Well done Jackie's, keep up the good work, you're the best!!!

This is my go to chippy! I love it! The Chinese Curry sauce is gorgeous with no onions or lumps in it ☺️ a lovely smooth curry and the rice is good with the curry. the chips are great! big portions.

Special chowmein with sauce was flavorless and meat was fatty. Singapore fried rice had flavor but meat was fatty in that also. The saving grace was the duck pancakes.

Have have ordered and had delivered many meals from Jackie's and never had a bad one. Everything is always cooked fresh and comes piping hot. From the staters to the mains I couldn't give anything a bad review. Reasonable priced and good portion sizes. Usual wait 45 minutes and worth the wait. Would order again and highly recommend.

ordered salt and peppered ribs, seaweed, duck in black bean sauce with spicey fried rice. the meal was lovely no complaints but the ribs: the only thing i didn't like were the ribs they were all fat hardly any meat on them i literally bit into blobs of fat on the bone. There was a puddle of grease in the bottom of the tray hardly any chillies which was a real shame as that was the main thing i wanted and they were £5.60
