One Plus Restaurant in Manchester

Friendly staff who made sure our broth was topped up, we had enough to drink and walked us through the process as it was our first time dining there. Food was reasonably priced and very delicious! Will definitely be going back

A great choice for dinner, very good price and excellent quality food. Just a couple of minutes from a conference hall and my hotel. I think I should go there and enjoy my dinner every time I come to this area of Manchester on a business trip.

So much fun. Kept us all occupied and entertained (2 afults, 2 children). Food was sublime. Staff were wonderful - helpful, inormative, and fun. Prices very reasonable able for such a marvellous evening

Ni hao people looking for good food, Chinese food, one of the world's most famous cuisines is something that is good in almost every Chinese resteraunt. At oneplus not only do you find a great variety of food with a taste that matches it's repertoire. The ambience and crowd is also very good. A must try!

The portions are very little, overpriced

If you do not have fancy individual hotpot before, you may like the experience. However if you have enjoyed proper hotpot like Haidilao or Beauty in a Pot, I will not recommend here. Because the food portions are really tiny at a high price - having 4 slices of 4cm pork brisket on a “sushi plate” for £3 a plate. The egg noodles are half of a size of standard say koka noodle pack. The broth is fine but started with a flat rate of £6.95 (of cos it is a given to have free ownself customized dip sauces and soup refill). The pros is ingredients on the menu are labelled gluten-free. But sadly this doesn’t overall justify the amount to pay at this mediocre amount. It is not for people who want to have a heartening filling meal.

The food tastes ok (not good) but ok. The issue is the price and portion. It’s way too overpriced. cool concept but just executed wrong. Staff interaction is fake and even condescending.

Great food best soup noodles that you can get in Manchester the only place that is arguable is wangs gyozas tonkatsu ramen

The BBQ floor is one of our favourite places to eat in Manchester - always brilliant quality food and spot-on service. Special shout-out to the lovely servers (gentleman with glasses and lady) who were so kind to me after I knocked over a glass!

Food is actually alright but a liitle bit overpriced. Not a fan of the belt system as it took too long to get another round of meat. Staff had a poker face. wont come again

(only ate at the noodle bar) Nice place, food portions are ample and high quality. Food is cooked and brought out a dish at a time, so can be slower than you expected for larger parties, but does mean food was as fresh as it could be. The decor is fine, but the food is what talks here.

Siempre 10 de cada 10 no puedo contar cuántas veces hemos estado aquí para hotpot ahora es tan bueno. El personal es muy servicial si necesitas que te expliquen algo. Una cosa que mencionar es que hemos estado viniendo aquí años antes de que nos dimos cuenta de que podía tener mitad y mitad caldo y pusieron un divisor en su olla! Cambiador de juego siempre tomate y pollo para mí. Las opciones de tofu suelen ser mis favoritas aunque soy un consumidor de carne. El rollo de cuajada de frijoles secos es increíble y tarda segundos en cocinarse, ahora hacemos hotpot en casa regularmente usando ingredientes del propietario del supermercado One Plus que está al otro lado de la carretera. También compramos hotpots de autocalentamiento de allí que nos encanta ( buscar estos en YounTube para ver cómo funcionan es genial. )

What an amazing place.. staff are so friendly and the food was really tasty. Great experience to cook your own food on hot plate. BBQ sauce was to die for.. told the owner how nice it was and he went and got me a bottle to take home with me!! You must try this restaurant. Will be back. Thank you.

Nos topamos accidentalmente con este restaurante chino hace unos dos años. Fue totalmente diferente a otras experiencias de restaurantes chinos que habíamos tenido porque la opción de olla caliente significa que tienes una cinta transportadora estilo sushi y luego esencialmente cocinas tu comida frente a ti. ¡Muy divertido, pero realmente no sabíamos lo que estábamos haciendo la primera vez! Así que mi hija nos ha estado presionando para que volvamos. Y finalmente lo hicimos. Esta vez nuestro servidor nos ayudó enormemente y obtuvimos una excelente orientación... y toda la experiencia fue excelente! ¡Muy recomendable!

Very disappointing experience. I came all the way from London to try this place that claims to have the “taste of home,” but unfortunately, it was nothing like that. First of all, the broth tasted like plain water, completely lacking the rich and flavorful taste that Lanzhou beef noodles should have. The noodles were soaked for too long, becoming overly soft and losing their texture. To make things worse, the service was poor. An employee named Jasmine was loudly chatting with someone about her personal life the entire time, which seriously affected our dining experience. With such poor service and quality, I won’t be coming back.

Shared set BBQ meal for 4, soo much food! would have easily fed 6, included a whole sea bass with sweet N sour sauce amazing, scallops, pork belly, beef, lamb and pork skewers, whole battered prawns, mushrooms, broccoli and sliced potato, £30 a head, absolutely fabulous and great value for money, will definitely visit again

This was a very pleasant new experience that was certainly a good choice. The food was tasty and the staff were very nice. There was an automatic 10% service charge.

The staff were all super helpful. And having gone by myself to the One+ it was pleasant to sit next to strangers and have the possibility to chat. The basis of One+ is that you are given a choice of broths, a basin of the broth is then placed in a heater in front of you. One can then take ingredients from the conveyer belt and cook them. The three stars for the food is because of the price and quality. There was nothing “bad” but nothing “great”. Ingredients were fresh, but none of the flavours jumped out at me. And the bill for £44 felt excessive for the quality when compared to recent meals out in London and Leeds. This could be down to my amateur attempts at making nice dishes but

Been wanting to try this place for some time and it didn't disappoint. Portion sizes are massive, service is quick and friendly and there was no wait for a table. Will definitely go back!

Our server Sunny was fantastic - very attentive and brought me some wipes when he noticed I’d spilled it too. The hot pot was absolutely delicious, you can eat as much or as little as you want and choose all the ingredients depending on what you like. Would visit again for sure.

Get place, great food, the wife and I enjoyed it a lot although I was really messy (sorry) . We were served by Yun who was so lovely to us, thank you for a great experience.

Honestly SO GOOD! Chinese food is not usually my thing but this place was great. We ordered the beef brisket noodles and the pepper steak with fried rice and neither disappointed. We were very hungry and still couldn’t finish neither of the dishes because they were massive. Good service as well. Will definitely be coming back

Honestly this is one of the BEST places in Manchester. We love the Hot Pot floor as it’s a Chinese culture dining and it kinda shows everyone what it is and to experience it ! Today we went to the Chinese BBQ for the second time and wow. Everything is so fresh and the Korean beef is to die for! And the salt and pepper lobster mmmm! Sean is fantastic, friendly and so helpful. The owner Alan always gives us a warm welcome and it’s so sad to leave as we don’t see each for a good few months till we visit again Definitely a place for anyone ! See you soon One Plus family! 🫶🏼

Best place for hot pot in Manchester, the conveyor belt makes it a really fun experience! You get to choose your own individual soup and sauces - I would recommend the tom yum soup! For the ingredients off the belt, the oyster mushrooms and beancurd rolls are great. Only negative is that the noodle portions are quite small/pricey! Service is great, waiters came round multiple times to top our soup up.

We were over charged .. set menu for 2 people stated 40 pounds and we were charged 60 pounds absolutely not worth it .. a 10% service charge which was not deserved as the service was not the best at all .. would not recommend.. meat was tough and would not go again

Very good and above all authentic food

I tried the clear broth ramen. The noodles didn’t seem handmade and were quite average, but there was more beef compared to other places. The portion size was quite large. Overall, the taste was average.

Great food! Affordable prices depending on how much you eat really. Great soup bases and a wide range of options for vegetarians and vegans. The individual hotpots are great and something I wish more places would do! Good customer service as well.

Came to try their soup noodles. I was not let down, very authentic and delicious Lanzhou ramen. You can choose whether you want spring onions, coriander or chillies on top of your noodle. The portion is very generous, too much for one person 😂. Beef was very tender and yummy. We tried no.1 and no.3 noodles in broth from the menu 🍜. Both are really good. Will definitely visit again to try other things 😊

After 5 days in manchester, being asian, I was really craving hot soupy food. Googled found hotpot n gave it a (skeptical) try. Asked for spicy soup and it was great, flavourful spicy not overly oily, drinkable soup and a full fledged hot pot condiment bar (oh my coriander, sesame sauce and black vinegar <3 ) Love it, will come back again one next time I'm in manchester. My Austrian friend love it too! Oh can I just say the sausage fried rice is fantastic, just like what u get in hongkong.

I love the noodle/rice bar downstairs. The food quality is great and the staff are very friendly. Noodle no.3 is all time best. I highly recommend it!

We keep coming back to this place over and over again. The staff are super friendly, and very on top of service. The food has always been excellent 👌🏽 Messy eating for sure so highly suggest no white outfits. Will definitely be coming back again for sure!

The hot oil noodles is quite plain. I seriously suspect They didn't mix them. Cannot see any dark soy sauce. A really bad experience.

Lovely food, fantastic novelty of being able to cook your food at your table. You can cook it to exactly how you like, and a bit at a time. We ordered most of the meat dishes and just kept adding a bit at a time, the noodles, rices and vegetables were lovely too. Would highly recommend.

Been wanting to try hot pot for so long and it absolutely did not disappoint. When we came in we didn't really know what to expect and we were very quickly accommodated by the staff who proceeded to show us how to do everything, how to cook the ingredients and with amazing sauce recommendations. Personally I had the spicy soup wich paired beautifully with all of the meats that I tried, but I also tried the chicken soup and the tom yum and they were all equally delicious. Will definitely be back to try the korean bbq on the first flor and return to the hot pot for some more.

Such an amazing place with a wide range of food choices. Me and my girlfriend went for the BBQ option and it was amazing. The hospitality in there was so good. We felt very welcomed and they were helping us and recommending the best ways to enjoy our meal. I would %100 recommend it to anyone, amazing experience. Can’t wait to try the other floors!

I used to love this restaurant and always felt welcomed, but my latest visit was a huge disappointment. Despite the restaurant being completely empty, the staff were extremely unwelcoming and unhelpful. When we arrived, the waitress asked us to sit in an uncomfortable corner. We politely requested to move to a regular table, as there were plenty available. To our shock, she refused, claiming that they were busy and those tables were reserved for larger groups. I couldn't believe what I was hearing - we were the only customers in the entire restaurant! After some insistence, she reluctantly allowed us to sit at a proper table. My partner, who was visiting for the first time, asked for an explanation of how the restaurant works. However, the staff member's attitude was terrible, and they explained things so quickly that it was incomprehensible. Throughout our meal, the staff remained cold and unaccommodating. When we finished and wanted to pay, they ignored us while eating from the hot pots themselves. We had to approach them to get our bill.Bill was £65 which included a 10% service charge. Given the poor service, I asked for the service charge to be refunded, but they refused to do so immediately, suggesting I get the refund on my next visit. I had to escalate the issue to the manager to resolve it. It's a shame that such a beloved restaurant has been tainted by the staff's appalling behavior. While the food was good and the manager was friendly, the overall experience was ruined by the rude and unprofessional staff. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues to prevent other customers from having such a disappointing experience.

A terrible experience in a restaurant I usually love! This restaurant is a great experience! The manager is super friendly and gave great recommendations the first few times here when we were learning the ropes. Staff are great with keeping you topped up and with special orders. I have now been here over 15 times over the past year and until Sunday I've had a great experience every time. The older female server with glasses has completely ruined this place for myself and partner but also my sister and her partner. We had ordered our broth which I accidentally ordered tomato instead of chicken for my partner. When I arrived I apologised and explained. The server said "Who is going to pay for your mistake?" I said this has happened a few times before including when they have brought the wrong broth and it had been swapped with no issue. She was strict in saying that it was policy not to swap. I said "Okay, when we finish that broth can we have it refilled with chicken?" Which she ignored and went to my sisters partner (the only Asian in our group) and said "you have to explain to your friend that it's not policy, he doesn't get it". He told her it was nothing to do with him and to talk to me. After we finished her broth I asked if we can have chicken now and she refused saying I had to pay for the change and tried to talk to my sisters partner again. We were then avoided the entire meal for refills and water and made my group uncomfortable. I began to think that maybe I was wrong and that maybe the people who helped in the past did it when they weren't supposed to, BUT... Toward the end of our meal the manager came out to greet people and help new customers. Right next to us he explained to them that he recommended mixing broth flavours and swap ones you don't like. This was the final straw, after a meal made uncomfortable and not enjoyed as normal we hear exactly what we asked for being offered right next to us. That table after, said to us "Isn't that what you were asking for!" When I asked for the service charge to be taken off the bill I was given the dirtiest look I have ever received and she again tried to discuss it with the other of our group making him feel singled out. Also the prices are not accurate in the supplied menus, so use your phone for the accurate ones on the website. To that server, you have alienated 4 people who love this restaurant, we will not be returning.

Having had a lovely time at my first Hotpot experience in London, I was excited to be able to go with my family to a different one in Manchester. One Plus Chinese Restaurant offers a DIY hotpot - setup like a sushi train - it was a unique and delightful way to have a yummy dinner with people I care about. I’m a sucker for a sushi train, so being able to be impulsive and grab things that look good was fun. It was a cold, windy Monday night, it even started to hail while we were ordering, so I was grateful to be inside eating delicious, warm, comfort food style eats on a night like that. Between us, we had the Tom Yum, the Chicken and Spicy broths - and I tried some of each and they were all good. I was glad I had the chicken one, but on another night I could have easily picked one of the others. The staff were efficient and polite, and were attentive with drinks and re-stocking the soup. I hit the seafood hard, but had a bit of everything. What really set One Plus apart for me was the sauce station, the range of things there allow you to build a wide variety of flavours and to experiment and build different combinations. The timings on the menu I followed, even setting the timer on my phone for the prawns and seafood, I did the red meats for less - but on the whole it is good and helpful guidance. They had a good range of drinks - alcohol and non-alcoholic, and I embraced the vibe and had a couple of Tsingtao beers and they worked a treat. Can highly recommend it if you’re wanting a casual, fun, shared dining experience. We all enjoyed what we made for ourselves and sharing bites with each other along the way.

I had a very pleasant experience at this hotpot with great customer service, great value for money, and a lovely atmosphere. I found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. I went there with my partner and we both enjoyed it to the fullest. It was our first time, and the staff made sure we understood the menu and how to prepare each item, and when they delivered the food, it looked delicious and tasted great. I would recommend it highly to anyone. The price is reasonable, and you get a lot for your money.

The seafood platter was enjoyable, though the portion size seemed a bit small for the price. The food was well-prepared, and the staff, while friendly, could benefit from additional help during busy times. The next visit may involve trying the self-service barbecue.

Food was so good I didn’t bother waiting until I’d paid to write this - if you are visiting Manchester and want to have or try hotpot, GO!

Was recommended by a tour guide, honestly some of the best food I’ve tried and the whole experience of cooking your own food at the table was great fun! Staff were very friendly and attentive, me and my partner were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived! Will definitely be going back to try other menu items!

We went to this restaurant as we were going to a concert . We ordered an array of seafood which was chilli squid , kung pau prawns and stir fried prawns . My boyfriend was brave enough to try fried chicken feet and bbq quail eggs , scallops in garlic chilli and vermicelli and got noodles and beansprouts the portion sizes are a good portion . I love seafood and everything was cooked to perfection. The waiter was nice and friendly and helped with our order . The food was delivered quick and was all nice and hot . Would highly recommend as service was friendly and efficient and the food was beautiful. Would recommend to everyone and if you want to cook your own food each table has a grill on . Thank you for a excellent experience x

I went to the BBQ bit. They had really good food and really nice welcoming staff!

We ordered the brisket noodles and soy chicken drumstick noodles. The service was polite and friendly, very attentive. The bowls of noodles were huge, definitely more than enough, by the end of it, my tummy was bursting. I personally prefer the brisket over the soy chicken, because the chicken was extremely dry and over cooked but the brisket was tender and flavoursome. The noodles were homemade and al dente.

Very nice, first time we tried hot pot. Broth could have been more flavourful but the meats and sauces were good. Little bit pricey £55 for 2 people. Excited to try the bbq next time
