I was there once for language exchange group, it was a crowded group ! The place is nice

I was refused service in the bar but the barmaid couldn’t tell me why. I know the way she looked at me I felt she was hostile to me for no reason. I have learning disabilitys. I try to explain but she kept refusing until then when I left my other three friends were also refused.

I like the breakfast here better than wetherspoons

Amazing service from thorn, she was friendly and nice throughout.friendly and chatty throughout and brought us all of our drinks. Team wales is hard to deal with but she was amazing.

Popped in with family member to try out the meal and a drink offer. It was cold at the table we were sitting at, had to keep our scarfs on. Most of the tables including the one we sat at had people’s half drank drinks, tables wasn’t cleared or cleaned. I had to ask the bar woman and she cleared and cleaned our table promptly. I can’t fault the service. The food was tasty but not much to brag about. We had the bangers n mash(could have added more peas- the gravy was good 👍🏽) and gammon steak meal with egg(could have been presented better, the look like someone had cut of the egg white and left just the yolk) with two large glass of Diet Pepsi. The drinks selection was great, you get a good amount per glass. The ladies toilets need urgent maintenance work. Toilet seats and door locks need looking into and again it was that cold you could see the steam coming from the toilet bowl after it was used😮

Love it here everytime, brilliant for the six nations, great live music on Saturday nights, can’t go wrong!

Have been coming here for well over a decade now to watch the 6 nations with groups of friends every year. Long gone is the friendly hospitality of some of the staff. Sat down with some friends and were rudely informed y a mixed race woman with long braids that the table had been reserved, but there was no sign on it. We didn't argue, just said yeah no problem, we'll have one more sip of the drinks and move over. Clearly intending to as some of us were already grabbing our stuff to move. She walked away a few paces, turned back and howled at us to move now. We were all disgusted with her attitude and customers nearby made comment to us about her also. Generally the atmosphere amongst customers in here is great and that was the same during this visit but the rude member of staff and the fact 2 of us caught some virus that hospitalised us two days after suggests training has gone down hill and hygiene, health and safety has dropped. Will definitely question before coming again but can categorically say, will be watching the rugby somewhere else this year

Good food and good service, little cold with the smoking area open out the back. Plenty of option on the food menu which is quite tasty. Match was on and there wasn’t much atmosphere.

Went for an irish breakfast as on Google it people have posted pic so assuming they do a breakfast i set the destination in the maps and set off got there firstly the carpark behind charges £5 then I go inside to find out an irish bar doesn't even do irish breakfast so I left straight away disappointing

Went for a family breakfast this morning, such a lovely place, Dave and all the staff offer a warm welcome as soon as you walk in, food was amazing, will definitely be going back.

Food was good quality, arrived within a reasonable time and good prices. You have weather's pools next door but O'Neills was far better.

We have now made it a weekly visit as my mom loves the chicken, ham hock & cheese pie and I love the steak pie. Always a cheery welcome, lovely and clean and great service

Very friendly staff, you could see good team work and co-operation. Place was clean even the bathrooms which isn't always the case in pubs and bars. The food was outstanding. We've been back a few times and I'll be back again.

The service was slow. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, being from America, didn't expect a small steak sliced into approximately 6 pieces. It was also medium rare and the cheese, not sure what kind of cheese it was, but it was tasteless. It should just be called a steak sandwich because definitely not a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Also the steak was tough, couldn't even cut it with a knife. We asked if it could be cooked longer (I don't like rare meat), the manager came over, said they don't cook the steak to order, but they would replace mine and cook it to order. My fiance ordered a pint of beer and it had a fowl odor to it. Luckily for him, he could smell it before he took a sip. It was promptly replaced, not so with my sandwich, that took awhile.

Really good value and tasty breakfast. Was pleasantly surprised. Probably the best cooked breakfast I’ve had from a chain pub.

Visited this morning as we were staying next door at the Travelodge for the Christmas market. Had a wonderful breakfast , good service, comfy seats, and dog friendly, would definitely visit again.

I had the Irish mega breakfast, my wife the normal Irish breakfast and we both said it was the best breakfast we'd had in ages and at a reasonable price as well.wetherspoons may be cheap and cheerful but for a great breakfast and good service go here

I visited O’Neill’s yesterday, having made a reservation for 4:15 PM. I arrived shortly after the reserved time, expecting a welcoming experience, but the entire visit left me deeply disappointed. Firstly, there was no one at the entrance to greet or guide us to our reserved table. After waiting around 10-15 minutes without any acknowledgment, I approached a staff member to check on our reservation. She informed me—after an additional 15 minutes of back-and-forth—that because we were “15 minutes late,” our table had been given away. This was despite the fact that we had arrived on time and had been waiting for assistance from the staff. I had invited friends to join us as we planned to enjoy the Arsenal vs. Liverpool Premier League match together. When I requested to speak with her supervisor, I was told that someone would come shortly. However, after waiting another 10 minutes, there was still no response. Finally, the staff member pointed out her supervisor—a short lady in a checkered shirt—who looked at us multiple times but made no effort to come over and speak with us. We were left feeling neglected, as though our presence simply didn’t matter. After an entire hour of waiting, the supervisor finally approached us, informing us that a table was now available. By that point, we had already decided to leave due to the unprofessional and disrespectful treatment. When I expressed my disappointment, explaining that we had been waiting for assistance for over an hour, she bluntly responded, “I was busy,” and dismissed our concerns as if they didn’t matter. As a group of brown individuals interacting with a predominantly white staff, I could not shake the feeling that we were treated differently. The disregard for our reservation and the dismissive attitude we experienced left us feeling unwelcome. This was an extremely disheartening experience that tainted our evening, which was supposed to be enjoyable.

O’Neill’s has been a great spot for me over the past 4 years, whether that’s for social downtime with friends and family or remotely working in a comfortable and friendly environment, very convenient being close to where i work and is always the go to for a breakfast with site team members and contractors or lunch meetings with the superiors. Service is second to none, it’s unique in comparison to the surrounding bars, pubs and restaurants and the staff are always customer friendly and go the extra mile in delivering that feel good experience and energy. Whoever is in charge of the hiring processes, hats off to you. Food is always top notch and the wait times are never too long, shout out to James and Grace in the kitchen for their consistency. Drinks selection you have plenty, I mean it’s an Irish themed bar so you know the Guinness hits a little different than other venues around, the best poured pint on broad st in my opinion. Bar staff are fantastic, friendly, again unique from other venues, from customer engagement, diversity, aesthetics and work ethics, it makes O’Neill’s what it is and why it draws people back as regulars. Staff appreciation to long-serving members Shae and Thorn, invaluable to the business, great personalities and top level customer service. Mentions also to long servers Dave, Stace & Chris, always a pleasure. Ryan & Nerica from the management team are always working tirelessly on shifts and are a credit. Team leader Abbie is also a credit for her work rate. Big thanks to the rest of the team too. Live Bands, acts & themed events are regularly held for entertainment which is a big draw and are received well, live sport is shown across the venue, big screen, booths have tvs and other screens placed around the venue for convenient viewing, perfect for private bookings and easy use via the O’Neill’s app. Highly recommended.

First time experience in O'Neill's having just moved to Birmingham. So on the Wednesday i was greeted by a young women by the name of Ellie who greeted us and made us feel very welcome. When we wasn't sure what to have she gave us great options and we enjoyed some amazing wine to share and order some amazing Pizza. Will definitely come back for the service alone. Looking forward to our next visit
