First time experience in O'Neill's having just moved to Birmingham. So on the Wednesday i was greeted by a young women by the name of Ellie who greeted us and made us feel very welcome. When we wasn't sure what to have she gave us great options and we enjoyed some amazing wine to share and order some amazing Pizza. Will definitely come back for the service alone. Looking forward to our next visit

Spoke to helpful staff who confirmed that even the grills are used for toasting wheat containing bread, when liaising with the kitchen / chef. Not gluten free safe despite having availability of naturally GF food (i.e gammon / steak). Bought a GF sandwich to eat with my cider from across the road as my mates ordered normal food. A staff member approached our table despite 2/3 of our table ordering food and all buying alcoholic beverages; told me I cannot eat food bought from Sainsbury’s that is coeliac safe in the premises. Threatening security to remove me despite my right to eat safe food. Joke of a company and will not be returning. If you’re coeliac avoid like the plague.

Could not accommodate gluten free then made a fuss when food from elsewhere was brought in… even after checking with staff.

Evie was such fun. Had terrific chats and twas very hospitable. Would return if in the local area. Great spot for super Sunday.

the wait time for the food was too long.. some people in our party had ate before the others even got their food.. would've preferred if we were all eating together at the same time..

Unfortunately our breakfast wasn't good. Beans, toast, eggs, mushroom were cold. We wasn't asked if everything was ok. So we didn't get chance to say, yet the people behind us got asked twice? There was only about 6 customers including ourselves, so hardly busy Disappointed

Miller and Carter standard steak : absolutely delicious beautifully cooked and presented. Grace and James in the kitchen did a superb job ! The entire meal was fantastic value for money and was served piping hot and with a huge smile by Narika . We will absolutely return. Try it !

Had a great experience at a levels party recently, drinks were cheap but great, and the service was fast and reliable will definitely be going again soon :)

Enjoyed a date here with my partner just very disappointed with the flattened dollop of mash with the meal hardly the decent mountain portions of fresh mash especially Colcannon Mash that the pub chain used to be famous for. I go into a so called Irish pub I don't get any Irish Colcannon Mash there's no Irish music playing. There's no Soda bread or potato farls on the menu. No Irish drinks on the Happy Hour menu. And they actually have the nerve to charge upscaled prices for frozen Artic Roll & slices of the frozen Vienetta ice cream brand. That's their pitiful offerings for dessert the cheapest ice cream desserts you can buy in the shops. What's Irish about that ?

Went for breakfast this morning great food and great service, we really enjoyed our breakfast in a nice and quiet the way I like my breakfast. Its at a really good price.

I went to the bar mainly for a language club that takes place inside. But it's very nice inside, although it's a bit tough without air conditioning and they charge you money for charging your phone, it's not free.

Excellent place for a pre show meal. Staying at the Travellodge opposite, so this was very handy for a meal before seeing Peter Kay. Having only experienced the O'Neils in Oxford, I wasn't expecting a good experience. What a pleasant surprise. Roomy and plenty of space for diners. Very quick bar service and the food service was much quicker than expected. Excellent options and cooked perfectly to my taste. Despite being busy, the staff were smiling and attentive. The atmosphere was great with a live group on as a Coors promotion which added to the experience. Popped in for a couple of drinks after the show, again served quickly. Only down side for us was the loud music which prevented any conversation, but we're oldies so we're not the late night target audience anyway. Much, much better than expected, and we will revisit next time we're going to a gig at the arena. Popped in for breakfast this morning and it was superb. Very large portions and value for money.

Came in on Friday with my partner after work and had a fab time. The band was fantastic and the service from the team on shift was second to none, can tell the bar is managed brilliantly. Love coming here! Keep doing what you’re doing oniells broadstreet!

Really poor service and the barmaid was rude, I order food with my work colleagues and was left waiting whilst my colleagues ate and finished. I went to cancel my order and was told it was delayed as we ordered separately… the barmaid who issued the refund was really rude, like I was in the wrong I’d give this place a miss in the future

I have organized a tour to the knitting and stitching show in August for the last 6 years. We happened upon O’Neil’s then. It was so good that every year since I ring ahead of time and the group is always dealt with as a large group. The food is always good, reasonably priced and good cheerful service .once again this year everything went like clockwork and we enjoyed our time there. Already planning for our return next August, see you then!

Good pub with good helpful staff

Always been a really nice atmosphere and great service from all the staff who've served me over the years. This might be a sports bar of sorts but during the day it's one of the nicest pubs on Broad Street and when sport is on, there's usually no trouble and it doesn't get overly loud. Food's pretty great as well!

Came for lunch two days in a row. The vegan burger is good, the vegan pizza is better, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

Had a couple of cocktails, beers and food before going to Foo Fighters concert. Great atmosphere, food spot on and even played some Foo Fighters to get everyone excited for the concert. Highly recommend 👍 cracking place and some of the nicest staff you'll find!

Found this place after a Kings Of Leon concert, excellent music selection by the DJ. Staff were amazing and super friendly, couldn't find a better night out in Birmingham!

Really great place to grab lunch or a drink. Great selection of food and drinks which can be ordered to the table via the app or can order at bar. Tables have mini tvs so if you want to watch football you can get a great undisturbed view. Nice and quiet during the weekday morning and afternoon so a great spot if you want somewhere quiet to eat and relax. Foods also great and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be visiting again in the future :)

Great early evening at O'Neill's Broad Street Birmingham, 3 free drinks & a pizza. Staff were wonderful door man, bar staff & Ryan arranged a full pizza, unbelievable! Would have stayed all night if hadn't have had Pet Shop Boys tickets. William definitely be back. Loved it.

A 6 hour district meeting. Room, facilities , service, food, and drink all top notch. 😋 Stayed for a few beers after meeting, rude not to.

We were there for a comedy gig above the actual pub so did not order food. The gig was brilliantly organised by O'Neils staff. They kept us informed when we could go to the function room. Definitely a place more comedy should be staged in the future

We phoned a week earlier and I also went into the venue to talk to the manager. They explained that their lift didn’t work but they actually got someone to come out and fix this in the week before the event. Massively appreciated the help and guidance on the day and the thought to fix the lift, and it meant we got to see our favourite artist live. Navigating life as a new wheelchair user has had many challenges, but venues and managers like this make such a massive difference so thank you

We stayed at the travel lodge which was next door and ate here for breakfast and evening meal. The food was fantastic and great value for money. The staff were friendly and we had great friendly service. Would definitely recommend it to othes staying nearby.

1 When the both meals come out they was cold, the chicken in curry cold, the chips on my steak was also cold and the steak, when I complained I was told by duty manager ( Abi ) that the kitchen was also in the process of cleaning and the meals got left behind ? What a joke and then when I asked for mustard for my steak I was told sorry we have got none? For a pub run by M&B is a complete joke guys .

We were given a warm welcome by the gentleman behind the bar and chatted about our plans for the day/evening. As we had shared we were staying over near by he also told us about the breakfast the times too! We had some small plates from the mix and match menu, all of which were delicious - compliments to Chef Gracie! My partner loved the mushrooms and I thought the calamari strips were soo yumm! We were checked back on and while we were eating and shortly after despite them being busy serving a large pub golf group. I’d highly recommend and will return when back in Brum (probs for brekkie in the morning 😂)
