Had a lovely breakfast here yesterday morning and was served by Maria she was very pleasant and helpful. Lovely food and pleasant atmosphere food was lovely to well worth the money

Waited at the "wait here to be seated" sign for ages (over 10 minutes), several members of staff walked past and noticed us and ignored us, had to go to the bar and ask for someone to acknowledge us in the end. long wait for food too, place is going down hill.

Shocking!! Took my elderly mother for an evening meal there. Spent over £40 on food and drinks and now have a parking fine for £60!!! Will not be going again! Dreadful.

Amazing food, very friendly and helpful staff. Easy to order on the app. Food came out quickly. It was fresh and hot. Could not fault this visit at all

Had the carvery, amazing service from Gareth really friendly, helpful and as soon as he'd served us he started to clean down everything and make sure everything was topped up. Cake is super size, my boys shared one between them and still didn't finish it! Nice little playground and small indoor play area to keep little ones entertained. Relaxed atmosphere and family friendly.

Server and waitress was Jen, very polite and pleasant. No issues, came and checked everything was OK with our food during our stay.

Bad points: Venue | Clean, but a bit dated. (Need some serious refurbishment) The table was booked many days in advance on their website. However, I really couldn't see the point in booking after arriving. Because there was not even a reserved table for two, for me and my guest. They tried to put us on a table that was a long distance from the actual carvery serving area. That was a no go, so they moved us to a closer table. Staff: Believe it or not but I had to bring my own drinks to the table. There is not much of a waiter/waitress service there. Good points: Food: The Carvery Meal has a good choice of fresh food and the meat quality was 1st class. Deserts: I myself had the Eton Mess. | Clotted cream and strawberry cheesecake flavour ice creams with crunchy meringue pieces and fresh strawberries. Topped with cream, a wafer and strawberry flavour sauce. It was very well prepared, and tasted great. Food: 5 Stars | Service: 2 Stars | Atmosphere: 3 Stars

We went to half penny farm oldbury on Friday both me and a friend had the lemon and blueberry cake but the trouble was there was no blueberry in we could not see this as all cakes were boxed up in the fridge have tried to phone them but no answer we love our blueberry we were very disappointed for the price we paid

Was in the area so stopped in for a quick carvery. As someone that is quite picky I have to say I couldn’t find fault with any of it. The food was hot, fresh, tasty and there was plenty of it! Everything was constantly being restocked and the meet was good quality! All the employees we came in contact with were friendly and helpful and wouldn’t recommend to return or recommend!

Great service from Gareth on the Carvery, lovely food, great atmosphere, kids play area is great for the little ones, would go again.

Had a Saturday carvery for 12 of us and we had a splendid time. Great food and a good choice. I have to give a massive thank you to Dionne who really looked after us and made us feel so welcome. We will all be back again. What a fantastic manager!!!

Iv been to this lovely little pub with a friend, and this was my second visit, I didn’t know about this pub till my friend took me, and on both visits it’s was busy with a family’s in there having food, and you can like most places order from your table so the bar isn’t that busy at all. On my first visit I tryed one of there carvery’s and it got to be one of the best Iv had in a long time it’s all fresh and mouthwatering and on my second visit I hoped to try something if there menu so I had an all day breakfast and it didn’t fail me at all it was out standing Iv not yet tryed there home made cakes yet but I will be they are big and you just look at them and your knife starts watering and it’s not over priced. Staff are very welcoming and very friendly im will be going again and it has a nice chilled vibe to it. It’s defo a must place to go.

Went just for the carvery, which has a great choice even on a weekday, very competitively priced. Gareth the chef on the carvery was very chatty, polite and pleasant.

Been loads of times and always speak highly of it. Tonight’s carvery was not so good, sprouts were like concrete and so was the cauliflower. Ordered the large plate but very tiny portions of meat. The bar had massive queues but still only 2 people serving. Come on MANAGER get these little things sorted, you got a great pub here don’t spoil it

Once again can't fault it had Carvery & Hunters Chicken Both meals very good. Served by Gareth on carvery very pleasant could not do enough for you.

Food lovely and tasty, bar staff friendly and Gareth at the cavery was very welcoming and friendly, front of house had a smile on her face which is very nice to see well done and look forward to my next meal with you all.

Food was great and the cake was outstanding rate patisserie chef Rosie her cakes are to die for !! Atmosphere is very relaxing would come again.

Food was ok - carvery so you get what you expect - mass produced, under cooked. The bar is an all new level of inefficiency. The bar person literally could only cope with being asked for one drink at a time.

Just to comment about the staff member called Gareth who serves the carvery. We come monthly and he always has a smile and great service too. Very pleasant and great with all sorts of customers I've seen.

Originally booked through to good to go app the night before £3 per cooked breakfast and collection at 11am, what an absolute amazing experience, we was served by Jen and what an amazing and lovely lady she is, so walked in there and approached Jen showed her the app she then went and got 2 takeout boxes and starts filling them up we had sausages bacon beans mushrooms black pudding fried egg scrambled egg toast and hash browns. Half penny farm there food display was very clean and organised the food was of very good quality I would recommend this place to anyone 10/10

Have been coming here for several visits now and were well impressed: meat is lovely, veg great and stuffing amazing. However on our last visit we were disappointed as only 3 meats and veg as hard as anything, stuffing over cooked and dry. If it doesn't improve on our next visit we will be going elsewhere. Hard veg just totally spoils a meal!!

Wonderful food as always and our server Jen was so welcoming, thank you again. We've come here a few times now and will be back again soon!

Our 3rd visit and the service, food, decor are all the reasons we go to Halfpenny Farm, I had a little trouble with the app (old age stuff) but was very swiftly attended to by Jen, very helpful in what we needed. It makes a great difference to the experience when people care. Thank you Jen.

Amy and Dionne were absolutely amazing. Couldn't fault there service. Very friendly and so helpful. We were a huge party and they accommodated in a secure and safe way to ensure we were all sat together. Once again those 2 were amazing. Credit to your staff

I often meet here with friends and the service has been poor, however tonight it had really improved and Mathew the acting manager was very friendly and accommodating. Food was standard pub grub nothing spectacular and the desserts are worth a try.

Attended as large group of 20 for family birthday. Unfortunately a family member became poorly and an ambulance had to be called by staff. During this time the staff were brilliant, helpful and considerate and cannot thank them enough for all their help.
