I asked specifically if there was onions in the sweet chilli chicken as most bought in ones do. I have a onion intolerance I was assured by the staff member there wasn’t onions in the mix - when taking a bite I was unsure and the after the second I tasted a onion and then looked through the mix and there was onions I spent the next hour and a bit vommiting. I would hate for someone who was actually allergic to be told wrong information. It is shocking, staff should know what is in things or if unsure check the ingredients before selling a product, I would have just had a ham and cheese and wouldn’t have been a waste of money and me being ill. Staff member was really nice which made this more of a let down.

Square / lorne sausage just like the usual crap from breakfast shops. Frozen out of a bag cheap cheap cheap just like the usual standard link sausages. For £2 60 your lucky if it cost the shop 40p for ingredients. Go to the bakers in Mordun roll 20p and go to the butchers get a decent quality sausage 40p. Not rocket science breakfast shops in Edinburgh. Quality nowadays! The tomato sauce tasted off as well. The roll went In the bucket!

Amazing experience, from walking into the shop, right through to paying & leaving with my order! Really friendly & welcoming. Great choice of breakfast rolls. I was asked what kind of rolls do i want . Soft or well fired? Would you like the fat removed from the bacon? How do you want your bacon cooked? Would you like sauce with your rolls? I went for brown, chippy or HP? I was asked to inspect the bacon to see if it was crispy enough! Too many questions? Nah, but all relevant in getting what you pay for. One of the ladies said you'll be back...Damn right i will be back! They even deliver full Scottish breakfast boxes on a Saturday & Sunday! Great to vapourise that hangover! Great craic, lovely people, really nice coffee...foods amazing;-) 100% BEST ROLL SHOP IN THE TOON! PS I even got a loveheart on my Cappuccino!

Excellent customer service helpful and polite. We live in the north of Scotland and when our local Lidl stopped stocking bratwurst we became desperate for the taste, I even had a go at making my own. When I discovered that On The Roll made online deliveries, we placed a large order. Shipped on a Monday arrived Wednesday morning at the allocated time. They made a brilliant job of packing the frozen foods to stay frozen with ice packs and natural wool. All expertly packed with a few authentic German condiments and qualified for free delivery. Altogether a fantastic service. We definately recommend On The Roll for a truly authentic German feast. I'm off to place another order now, looking forward to the Pork Schnizel this time and to stock up on Nurnburger Bratwurst.

Absolutely zero customer service. Constantly running out of rolls etc and extremely unfriendly staff. They ran out of rolls this morning and I suggested that they bought some from the convenience store next door.The staff said the convenience store didn't have any but when I went to the PO within the store I saw they had plenty of rolls. To be helpful, I bought 4 burger rolls to give to the shop so they could make my rolls.When I returned to 'On A Roll' II was met with a tirade of abuse, during which the convenience store was referred to as ' the pakk**s. I was insulted, shouted at and subjected to abuse for daring to come back and ask for my original order as I now had rolls to give them.This shop is a perfect example of how to treat customers like dirt. Never again.

great friendly service and top notch food at sensible prices.home deliveries are very handy for some although we live too far away(in the borders!) always stop off when in edinburgh.

You love fast food - You would love it here. You crave for amazing and warm service - This is the place to be. 'On A Roll' comes highly recommended by the locals who flock here for a quick breakfast. Their breakfast boxes are very popular which consists of a little bit of everything and comes with a coffee. What is very hard to miss is the service with a big smile on the face of the owners and servers.

A good stop for convenient hot food. great for breakfast or a hot roll on way to work. Sells everything you'd expect your standard scottish cafe/takeaway to serve. its in a good location and prices are fair.

I would recommend On a Roll to everyone that passes by to pop in, the food is amazing and freshly cooked, their munchie boxes are outstanding the staff are amazing they make you feel so welcome. Get yourself over there and added on FB to find out what there special for the day are. Best food, fast and efficient.

Wot can I say friendly smiley people that serve a cracking breakfast roll and proper coffee for takeaway and even gave my lab a piece of beef! Shall defo be back, don't bother with Costa come to this local business instead. Keep up the good work.

After waiting 2 and a half hours on my delivery for it to arrive cold I complained and got threatened and abused by the owner and her family members. Had to call police!!

When on a lazy Sunday morning you cannot be bothered making a breakfast. Pop along and order your breakfast roll(s). Great rolls, friendly service.
