Great menu, plenty of dishes to choose from. We sat outside great atmosphere as it was international weekend. Staff friendly providing a great service.

Good pizzeria, two of us went for dinner and it was very good, the waitresses were very attentive and at a good price, you can even make the pizza with your favorite ingredients and at a reasonable price.

I’ve finally found a place in Edinburgh that, while not exceptionally unique, truly stands out for its warmth and authenticity! From the moment I walked in, the staff’s kindness set the tone for a fantastic experience. They welcomed me with a perfectly served Peroni beer, and the arancini—though presented in a way tailored to the English market—were still delicious, filled with a rich and flavorful ragù. Then came the pizza, which was excellent—one of the best I’ve had in the UK! But the real highlight, after the pizza, was the delightful nonna’s cake, followed by a smooth limoncello and a well-made macchiato. This combination made for an unforgettable ending to an already fantastic meal. Made In Italy has left a lasting impression, much like Edinburgh itself—a city I have been visiting on and off for seven years now, and one that never ceases to amaze me. A must-visit for anyone craving an authentic Italian experience in the heart of Grassmarket!

Really great understated little Italian restaurant. They were very accommodating to us and our toddler. The food and service were amazing even as they got busier. Would highly recommend

Nice place. Cozy atmosphere. The lasagna was good, but needed a little more seasoning. Unfortunately didn’t like the matcha. The waitresses were super friendly. They add a service charge of 10% though, so keep that in mind.

This place may be small but the food is so good. Lasagna and Peperoni pizza were both very good. The hot chocolate was perfect. The seating inside is limited and tight. On nice days there is plenty of seating outside.

It wasn't the first time I've been there, whenever I'm in town I eat at Made In Italy because the food is good, the portions are generous; the service from Adam and Kate is impeccable and makes you want to order more food even if you're not hungry; the atmosphere is pleasant with good background music; the price is fair for the quality of the service provided. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food and good service.

We enjoyed some pizza’s here which were really delicious! Crusty but still juice pizza and friendly service.

Everything we ordered was delicious. Lentil soup, pizza, ravioli, lasagna and bolognese. Highly recommended!

A friend highly recommended this restaurant to me. She had been there 4 years ago and loved the experience. I followed her recommendation and I didn't regret it. I had a delicious breakfast, the atmosphere is beautiful and the service was very friendly. I ordered a croissant, baked eggs with spinach and bacon and a large coffee.

Great small shop, with great food and service. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Try the tiramisu pizza, it is fantastic! But it’s more than two can eat.

Amazing service by the staff, being the best we’d experienced during our trip. Pizzas hand made with fresh ingredients and wood fired cooked (well that’s what it tasted like). Absolutely recommend!

What a precious place with delicious food. We didn't make a reservation and initially left to go elsewhere, and they came outside to let us know if we waited a few moments they'd have a table for us. We were very grateful because we had a hungry one year old with us! The pizza was AMAZING.

Visité dos veces para llevar, y la corteza delgada y perfectamente cocinada con ingredientes frescos y de alta calidad hizo que cada bocado fuera inolvidable. El ambiente acogedor en el interior añade encanto, y el personal era increíblemente amable - incluso fueron más allá al ofrecer hacer una pizza para llevar después de cerrar al público. We had lunch at this restaurant, we loved the food and the service! Super friendly! The pizzas were great, with thin crust, the lasagna was also very tasty! Fast and attentive service. Great for a casual lunch with friends or family.

We stopped off here for a coffee and pastry half way through a bus tour. Pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, great coffee, and warm and friendly service.

I got the pumpkin ravioli. Very small portion for the price and sadly it wasn’t even stuffed fully. My friend got the lasagna & rated it 8.5/10. The waiting time was quite ridiculous when there were seats available. The food was quick but the service for assistance or payment took forever. You must call for them/track them down. The people are very polite and kind though. Wouldn’t return.

Delicious food right in the heart of Old Town, fantastic and attentive staff.

Muy buen ambiente, personal amable encantador y deliciosa comida. No necesitábamos reservar pero era mitad de semana, buen precio y buenas porciones. Teníamos pan de ajo y arancini para empezar y luego 2 pizzas y un café y no hay quejas por nada de eso, todo fue increíble. Su personal es maravilloso también, super amable incluso mientras trata con clientes de drama. Maravilloso trabajo!

Lovely little restaurant! Food was very good, pricing was okay, we spent £50 on a main for two, drinks for two and a side. Staff were friendly! Only downside is it is quite small so when busy can be hard to walk around the tables but this wasn’t an issue for us!

Always visit here when staying nearby. First visit sat outside and njoyed a beer. Then returned to have dinner. Friendly staff welcomed us. We ordered brushetta to share, lasagne and 16" milano meat feast pizza, wine and peroni beers. Our food was very tasty and njoyable. Its a nice friendly restaurant bright and spacious. Will be back, recommend a visit :) :)

I went with my friends we ordered just dessert the tiramisu was good the brownies had big chunks of walnut which made it so delicious. The atmosphere was nice. The waitresses were welcoming with a smile on their faces all the time. I recommend the place

The pizza is good. I was alone and had ordered a simple pizza. They forced me to take away with 20 minutes to go before closing time, which meant eating it on a bench outside while others seated earlier were still served with even larger pizzas. I didn't expect such rudeness.

My 2 kids and partner had lunch here today. We had been before ( a long time ago) and so we were looking forward to trying this place again. We were seated outside because it was busy but the table was at a slant. We all ordered drinks but soon after my son received his lemonade it spilt everywhere. I asked the waitress if we could get another one and asked if we’d be charged again, she went away to ask her boss and then never came back! Pretty disappointing! The pizza was great for the kids. I had the chicken and breadcrumb panini, which unfortunately was dry and hard to chew. It was okay but personally i won’t be rushing back! I used to go years ago and it was great back then!

Terrible experience with the staff. Not a good place for tourists at all. I will not recommend it.

We bought a pizza from this restaurant for inside dining but it was fully booked out so outside dining was the only option. We had a incident were insects starting landing on our food. We informed the waitress about the situation and she came back and told us that they would make us a new one but we had to pay. This sounds like terrible customer service and I was appalled by the decision. Would not recommend. They should have facilities outside for customers to eat without issues with insects.

Decent food very very expensive for what it offers

We ordered an arugula and parmesan salad, well that's it, arugula and parmesan 7 pounds....then I order a tiramisu dessert and they bring me a tiramisu drink with ice, they should be a little more understanding with people who don't have English perfect, when they come to my country we have to understand them... Delicious gluten-free pizza and they have a gluten-free salted caramel brownie that they served warm. I've already eaten here twice in one week and would go again.

The tables are very small. The pizza is ok, but a bit bland. The chilli oil only tastes like oil, the chillies stay at the bottom of the bottle. The lasagne also had little meat or flavor and the dough layer was cooked a little too long.

The Food is good The service and staff are so friendly We had 2 days dine in and Abby was there to take the order she was friendly and kind. Also I had me breakfast today and there was young man he was so good and helpful. Recommend to try the pizza and cinnamon bun

We ordered beef wagu fettuccine with high expectations, after all the cafe is called Made In Italy. The result was a tasteless bowl of muck. The beef was so finely minced up in tomato paste it was non-existent. We ate outside amongst scattered rubbish and filth. The staff simply just walking passed it all. No pride in their food and no pride in their environment. Do yourself a favour and keep on walking around the corner to Howies. Now they do have respect for their food and customers.

We are here a couple times on our visit in 2022 and we knew we wanted to come back this visit. Their Made in Italy pizza is soooo good! And their arancini is the best I’ve ever had. As an added bonus, their outdoor seating is right on Grassmarket, great location!

We ate here after a long day. The portions were insane. So delicious that we took some home with us. The dessert. Well it was to die for. I'm a huge fan of dessert and it lived up to expectation!

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. We chose lasagna and ragu pasta. First of all it wasn't very good but above all we were quite surprised by the portion of ragu pasta which was really very small, although we don't have big appetites. In addition, there is only one toilet (one for women and one for men) for a fairly large restaurant, I waited 20 minutes to use the toilets, which were very dirty... Finally, we were charged a 10% supplement for the service, without asking our opinion... Given that I hadn't eaten enough, I found it very harsh to charge an additional supplement. In short, we do not recommend this place.

Lasagne didn't have much meat in it at all. Place looks unauthentic.

Very busy. One of the waitresses said they didn't sell lager or zero lager, so my friend asked for an orange juice with lemonade, to which the waitress said "together?". The waitress had never heard of drinking this together. After a while and seeing lots of bottles of empty Peroni on a shelf, my friend had to explain that they must do, and asked if she had asked for it wrongly. It was even on the drinks menu. She said that she would ask her boss, who then informed her to tell us that Peroni is not a lager!! Hence the mark down.

I have been going to Little Italy for several years. Today my panini was supposed to have fresh basil ....it arrived with half a leaf and my panini was soggy. The pizza was average ...for being an Italian it was poor. It wasn't busy maybe problems with staffing Howeber I won't be back

The food was fine without being amazing, and I'd describe the service in the same way - as well as being a bit slow for a Thursday afternoon. All fine but not amazing, and quite pricey for what it was.

Me ne avevano parlato bene e ho voluto provare…..niente di che,tutt’altro! Intanto di italiano non c’era nessuno ( almeno quando ci son stata io) ,abbiam mangiato 4 pizze piuttosto sciape e poco guarnite,2 birre grandi e 2 piccole,2 dolci…pagato 130 sterline quando con lo stesso prezzo in un’altro ristorante italiano abbiam mangiato benissimo! Non ci tornerei!

Very much enjoyed my dining here

Sat on the patio. Service was pretty good considering I had to young lads about 18 serving me. Quick to get my grub and the patio was clutch. Food was 910.

The food menu is a little limited but the coffee is very nice so we had to visit here twice. The staff here is friendly and attentive. We are especially impressed by a waitress named Aila (hope that I write her name correctly) for her cordiality and enthusiasm.

Located in the center of Edinburgh they offer a nice variety off food. The restaurant is very easy to find in the Grassmarket square. You can eat in or outside. When it's busy you might have to wait for seating. The staff is nice and helpfull and they serve quick. The food is tasty. The price isn't bad considering the location of the restaurant. Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh Old Town are 10-15 minutes walking distance.

Very good pizza’s, nice that you can create your own pizza. Kind staff, good service. Not much room, it’s a small place and always packed. Lucky if you find a spot around dinner time.

We popped in for some drinks on Wednesday evening and the food looked so good we couldn’t resist!! The pasta was delicious and my husband’s pizza looked incredible. Our server, Abi, was lovely, she was very welcoming and kind to everyone. We will definitely be back next time we are in Edinburgh!!

The food was ok - I wouldn't call it made in Italy, but it was on the table quickly and helped with hunger. The staff were without exception very friendly and accommodating! The tables are a bit very close together, which I didn't like.

Very good pizza, they have a gluten-free pizza base. The only problem was the fork. I couldn’t cut the pizza. The should replace the cutlery set.

Food was good. My fiancée and I had two nice dishes of pasta, Caserecce really well cooked (not overcooked!) with nice tomatoes sauce, and Lasegne. As dessert, I had a tasty slice of Cranachan (Scottish cake) which I enjoyed much (delicate, not oversweety and healthy!). Service was really enojable and friendly. Recommended!
