Best curry in Edinburgh and I’ve eaten A LOT OF CURRY

We came from Sydney and we did dine in today. The food was really delicious and authentic. The service was very quick and the staffs are very friendly. I am a foodie and trust me, this is a “must visit” place if you want to take a taste of Indian subcontinent.

Really really good food especially the biryani. Can't recommend the service enough as well! I come here often for their takeaway

I'm gluten intolerant. The front of house guy was so helpful in explaining how food is cooked and most of the dishes are gluten free. I asked for the chicken korma and rice and it was delicious. My husband ordered pakora and a spicy mains and he really liked it. I can't understand why this place isn't packed every night. I recommend a visit to Noor.

The food served here is really fresh since it’s made on the spot and staff has excellent hospitality. I ordered panner tikka Nanwich and it was really great!

Absolutely freezing. Had to throw out part of the order because it was so cold. Not even tepid. Freezing.. I’m a fan of Noor and normally they are very reliable. But this was appalling.

I got the meal for one this evening and it was so much food. It was delicious. Delivered to the other side of town, during rush hour in good time.

This place has an excellent atmosphere, with lovely workers, and absolutely astounding, delicious and palatable delicacies. My friends and I had the most amazing time here, one of the workers had such great banter with us, and we received some free pakora and great student discounts! Will definitely return.

The food is delicious! If you want to taste authentic Indian/Pakistani food, this is the place to go. It's also reasonably priced, so you'd have a lovely meal without burning a hole in your wallet. The service here is excellent as well, the staff and the owners are both very courteous and attentive. I've ordered food from them quite regularly and had takeaway as well. Both are timely and the food is always excellently prepared. It's an excellent experience overall, and I cannot recommend it enough!

Delivered wrong order completely

this place was recommended to us, thought we would give it a shot. was looking forward to the curry! took one bite into the chicken & didn't taste right, it's all brown & gooey inside, definitely doesn't look normal, have taken pictures. most definitely would not recommend this place, stay clear. 0 stars.

Had a great experience with Noor takeaway. I am the eye witness of their food. Quite fresh and delicious. Above all affordable. So i personally recommend it to everyone around. Love from Pakistan xxx

The food was great, one of the closest to authentic Pakistani cuisine I have tried here in Edinburgh. The nicest staff I have ever met taking care of any personal needs of the customer. I would highly recommend everyone to visit this place.

Really good Indian takeaway located near the city center. Sure try their naan bread which is really from out the world.

Order arrived around 40 minutes after the end of the delivery window but delivery driver was very apologetic which was appreciated.

Fries were nice, lamb was nice but the korma sauce was awful, super watery and tested off, I also had some bits of meat in my korma that weren’t lamb

Hot, fast, delivery person was polite. Only thing is I wish disposable silverware and napkins had been included because I had to get creative. In the US they are automatically included. It’s okay. All worked out. Food was good.

Food was amazing and lovely service

Really friendly staff who we asked to 'surprise' us with our dishes (halal and veggie options!) and they definitely delivered. Great, tasty food, good portions and really attentive service. We will be back and I would highly recommend!

Took out an excellent Panjabi channa masala dish. It was well spiced without being overpowering and actual whole spice was used. Compliments to the chef.

When we admitted that we didn't know Indian cuisine well, we were given great advice, the small dishes were included in the big ones and...we loved it! Especially the dahba paneer butter masala and the chicken biryani!

The food was really good ! If you are craving for Indian/ Pakistani desi food this is the place I would highly recommend . It’s a take away but have few seats for dine in as well . We ordered dal makhni, chicken biryani , butter Haan and Samosa chaat and loved it!

Normally very good, I just had the lamb chops delivered as a main but the portion size is considerably smaller than previous orders. Looks more like a starter. Disappointing!

Best place to enjoy the desi Food

Food was nearly frozen by the time it came. Not surprisingly as it was out for delivery for over an hour . Missing my bottle of cola with the order. Asked for MILD korma and I got what tastes like a bhuna or a vindaloo . I hate spice and don’t enjoy it so whole thing from start to finish was a let down for me personally. What a waste staying up so late for it as it was gonna be here 11.30 for it to come at 1.15 am. Missing items , wrong spicy thing I can’t eat no korma in sight. Nearly honestly

I've been here twice & it was super good on both occasions. I'll be going back for sure! Highly recommend the samosa chaat and the cheese naan; all the curries we've tried so far have been delicious as well.

The korma did not taste like korma at all, very strange! The chettinand was amazing though and very authentic south indian. The naan was a bit too doughy and thick. The bhajis were quite soggy.

Feeling to have a nice Indian curry went to this small restaurant in Newington called Noor 👌. I had lamb jalrezi and garlic Nan. It's was awesome really enjoyed home style curries. Will visit again

Food was very good, best Indian I’ve had in a while. Chicken Tikka masala was the best, was about 15 min late but apart from that I couldn’t fault it, delivery driver was very pleasant too 😃

Prawns were tiny,hard and chewy..really not acceptable.

Solía usar el servicio de comida para llevar, pero ya era suficiente. 3 veces seguidas pediría una comida para llevar para 8. 00 pm y aparecía a las 4 pm siempre me decían oh estamos ocupados y 3 de cada 4 veces ni siquiera estaba en casa del trabajo. ¡Conversación tras conversación y esto continuó así que ya está hecho... incluso una vez se fueron a mi puerta a las 4 pm!

I recently ordered Dal Makhni and Naan from Noor Indian Takeaway, and it was fantastic. The Dal Makhni was creamy and flavorful, and the Naan was fresh and soft. What impressed me most was their service. They once delivered my order even though the restaurant was closed. I've ordered twice now, and each time the food and service have been excellent. Highly recommend!

Pretty affordable as far as takeaways go. I requested extra spicy on both my side dishes, especially the paneer butter masala which was still too sweet and not spicy at all. The portions of onion bhajis were generous, but not crispy

Hate leaving a negative review but our chicken saag & chicken vindaloo from Noor tonight were comfortably the worst curries we gave ever had. The chicken saag was really oily and lacked any flavour. It went in the bin after two mouthfuls. The vindaloo was a miserable attempt at a classic curry with an insipid basic tomato gravy chilli powder & vinegar. Come on Noor you used to be one of the best......

one of the worse curry orders i've ever had. pakora was frazzled and chewy! butter chicken was horrible,no spice(had to add some) and first time i've had chicken tikka with peppers and onions(possible jalfrezi) tasted ok though in a jallfrezi kinda way.....no impressed and no using again...

The best Indian takeaway in Edinburgh!!! Im so glad I found this place. I love Indian Food and have been struggling to find a decent Indian restaurant to my taste until Noor! We have lamb curry and Paneer tikka, they are out of this world!! We strongly recommend Noor if you are in town and looking for delicious Indian food!!!
