Oliver's Belmont Road in Belfast

My first time in Belfast and came to Oliver’s Coffee Bar. I have to say that the experience from start to finish was amazing. The hosts and staff here welcomed me and my friends so warmly and the food/coffee was one of the best I ever had. I had the All Day Breakfast. Had potato bread for the first time and it was🔥🔥 also the best black pudding I’ve ever tasted. Big compliments to the chef(s). Produced with extreme class. Next time I’m in Belfast, I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you Oliver’s Coffee Bar staff. You were all amazing!

Pathetic… haven’t seen worse attitude or service for many years… place had 4 people sitting eating so not busy.. I received a menu soon as I sat down… that was it .. the chef could even see from the kitchen that u was ready to order as the menu was set down! The guy behind the counter faffing about around the coffee machine… turned out another member of staff was having his lunch… unfortunately when decided to return behind the counter he didn’t many effort to even look around.. no wonder the place is not busy!! 36 across the road had people queuing up to get in… I can only imagine they understand the words ‘customer service’ means!!

Excellent coffee shop great food

Great guys, always a pleasure, smooth coffee such a satisfying feeling, a lot of the guys on this road tend to burn it, and the Banana bread is unreal so soft and delicious 😋😋 I would buy the whole loaf if I could.

First time trying this place this morning. Staff where super friendly and as a fussy vegetarian I was delighted to see something different to try. They even accocomadated me not eating eggs and I asked for avocado instead. The veggie bowl was delicious. Compliments to the chef ♥️ delicious 😋😋 can't wait to return thanks again

DO NOT EAT AT THIS COFFEE SHOP IF YOU ARE COELIAC OR HAVE ALLERGIES. DESPITE CHECKING 4 TIMES THEY SERVED ME FOOD CONTAINING GLUTEN. THEY DO NOT HAVE AN ALLERGEN MENU AND SEEM TO HAVE NO TRACEABILITY ON THEIR INGREDIENTS. IT IS NOT SAFE FOR PEOPLE WITH ALLERGIES.

Great coffee and delicious brunch.

Food gone downhill bigtime, scones clearly not fresh & over done. Was always a go to for us on a saturday morning. But will not return after twice in a row being disappointed as its not cheap for the food to end up in the bin.

Excellent food and very attentive staff. Will be back.

Lovely food and coffee, very cramped tables so got bumped by everyone walking past the table, left waiting to be seated while others who arrived after got seated, will stick to take away if returning.

Lovely cafe with friendly staff. I had the cinnamon scone which was delicious, but have been told that the raspberry/white choc scone which sells out very quickly is the one to go for. Will be returning very soon!

We called in for the first time for lunch, didn't even get to try the food. Was given menus and then totally forgotten about while other customers arrived after us got attended to & had their order taken. Continued to wait but we seemed to be invisible to all the staff. Sorry to say we will not be back as first impression do matter. When we handed back the menus to a member of staff he didn't seem to be bothered and said he didn't notice us but annoyingly had served the people beside us. Plenty of other restaurants on the belmont Rd.

Just enjoyed a coffee and the most delicious scone ever in Olivers. The staff are all pleasant and friendly, there is a great selection of food and it all looks tasty. Cosy, friendly cafe, highly recommend.

Went in to escape the rain and enjoyed a coffee and bun and watched the world go by.

Very friendly and popular wee cafe on a busy road with lots of other eating places. The scones are a very generous size, and good.

Excellent; the sausages are full of flavour, as is the black pudding. The potato bread was delicious with bacon. You won't be disappointed 😌

I only got a coffee to go so can't vouch for the food (though it looked absolutely delicious). Nice interior, friendly efficient staff and the coffee was stonking - not a word I use lightly! I will be back for food.

If I lived in Belfast I'd have coffee & cake here every day. If you like peanut butter they've got a lot of treats for you!

Went for breakfast this morning got a fry for nearly £9 you would think you would get 2 bacon and 2 sausages. But no.. the food had zero taste so much so my partner and I thought we had covid. The potato bread turned to mash again... save yourself some money and go to the local spar.

My daughter and i just called in to oliver,'s on Thursday night we had never been before, the staff were really lovely even though they were really busy with a party. The food was delicious and the cheesecake was sooo good, but the special offer was a winner i will definitely be back but i will be bringing my wine to go with the lovely pasta. Thanks for a great meal

Food is different from most normal coffee shops. Its always delightfully presented, and tastes as good as it looks. Slightly more expensive than the norm, but you get what you pay for.

Great place for breakfast as well as coffee

Traybakes and coffee were good, but service was poor. Service was slow and our traybakes were forgotten about. This was due to only three staff members (with one young male server being visibly inexperienced) working on a busy Sunday morning. I feel this is more an issue with mismanagement, than with the staff themselves who were under an unnecessary amount of pressure.

Nipped in for a quick coffee on a Sunday afternoon. Good service and lovely moist carrot cake. We sat at the window and watched the world go by outside.

Decent enough food, nicely cooked breakfast, not greasy at all, however the bacon was so overcooked it was hard going to eat. Music way too loud and with other tables situated too closely together we could hardly hear each other. Not the worst but not the best either.

Have always liked here but went to go in for a quick bite recently and they’ve changed their menu at lunchtime and we couldn’t buy just a sandwich. The food was always lovely though. We didn’t stay as we didn’t want a big cooked meal. Disappointed

Great breakfast, super quick. I had the Olivers breakfast and it was perfect for me. There are many places to start a days walk from in the area. Olivers should be your first choice. On a street packed with coffee shops, Olivers is a beacon. I hope they sustain the quality of food and service.

Great lunch menu and friendly service but try to get a scone after 11:00 and they're always sold out. Can't understand why they just don't have bake / buy in more. They have lost my trade 3 times in the past 3 weeks.

Posted a negative review here from bad customer service experience in the past. The manager refused to accept my view and then changed his response to say that I must have mistaken Oliver's for somewhere else! Hilarious. Now I actively avoid.

It was OK ...they claim to use only the best coffee?? Gregg's do nicer coffee..just saying like..innit..

I have a love for this place, the coffee in my opinion is the best in Belfast. It has a great atmosphere with pleasant staff and good background music. The food is also delicious and it is well priced. Excellent restaurant!

Went for an midday snack and the place was so packed you could barely move. There was a very small gap between tables so people either side of you could hear your conversation, and you could hear theirs. When the food came out the chips were so salty I couldn't eat them and after wards we asked for a caramel square and never got it...so after 20 minutes waiting we left. The lady who served us wasn't the most pleasant either.

I am a regular at Oliver's and food and service always excellent. Can be hard to get a table at times so go early.

Kind helpful waitress. Delicious poached eggs, smoked salmon, wheaten, celeriac remoulade, delicately pickled courgette on side. Bought a massive Florentine to takeaway. Thankyou.

Friendly staff, nice menu and fresh, tasty food. Service was quick. Menu is brief for breakfast and brunch. Not a lot to choose from or get lost in which I always appreciate. Small dining room but quick turnover of customers so people don't have to wait long for a table.
