Aldos Fish & Chips in Belfast

Waited nearly an hour wasn't the warmest and soggy for what it cost 😭

It really is the best chips the fish (cod) is thick white and tasty the batter dry and crisp I can tell one of aldos fryers is better than the others,I don't know his staff but they are all good but one is the best.

Busy chippy with a wide variety of food on offer. Parking is on street so a bit hit and miss. The food we had was fresh cooked and very good. Prices were reasonable for what you get.

Tried here once to see what it was like and it's the only chippy we will get from now. Food is always amazing and quickly delivered. Definitely recommend

Busy night but didn’t have to wait too long and food was to a good quality.

Food was so greasy everything had to be put straight in bin. Asked for curry think it was applied with a tea spoon. Everything aslo tasted really bad. Every portion was tiny but that would only matter if any of it was even ate. Have got outta her few times tonight will be last terrible.

Fish was tasteless and not cooked enough for my liking, maybe that's the way its done in Belfast, definitely different from anywhere I've tried. The fish was a big thick bit of fish, i dont even know what kind ot was, now I know why 3 people ordered the fish well done. A big No from me. Staff seemed friendly enough, a bit slow at getting my order ready.

Got delivery, chicken box,fish and cowboy supper, food was amazing, pipping hot, nice fresh fish, took 45 mins for delivery and I live up the road, couldn't fault 😋

Fantastic food, best chips we've yet had in Belfast! From the fish to the chicken Goujons, you can't go wrong here, trust me! I've been eating food for 59 years, I'm sort of an expert. Add in a super friendly staff, clean, comfortable booths and reasonable prices....worth the drive! Is your mouth watering yet?

Orderd food at 2.30 for delivery told me 40 da 45 mins phoned bk an hour later girls attitude was rotten the way she spoke and said waiting on driver I said do ya no how much longer it would be she was like don't no like 20mins half hour waiting on driver like wasnt her problem phoned bk half hour later to be told still waiting on driver and something wrong with pans this fella was lovely and very nice and apologised place is just getting worse not nice for ur customers ended up cancelling the order after an hour and half wait still to be told could be longer

Bought chicken burger wanted to try here they need to change there oil chicken burger was well well well done ( burnt) put me off eating it the grease was shocking it’s 2022 food standards should be higher won’t be back I wish I read the reviews before going here I believe everyone of them everyone can’t be wrong

Hour and a half delivery time, which I wouldn't mind so much if the delivery was right. Someone is else is out there eating chicken nuggets they didn't order. It's a pity they didn't get our fish, which was mildly warm, sweating and soggy, had to eat it myself cos i was starving. Not pleasant. No drinks with the order as usual. Only writing this because we've phoned a few times about missing drinks etc.... and it keeps happening. Come on Aldos, it's not rocket science to make sure an order goes out right, with drinks. I want to shop local but you're not making it easy!

Ordered a beguette and fish. A cold soggy wrap turned up and the fish was the smallest I've even seen from any chippy. Chips were cold and stale also. Attempted to phone and no answer. Went back to just eat and they had vanished from it so couldn't even complain. Never again

I have been going to Aldos for many years and have had good and bad meals. I had a meal last night and every bit of it was delicious. If you have Hired a new chef - keep them.

The chicken burger was wrong , and I ordered steak on chips with pepper sauce , which is suppose to come with peppers, onions and mushrooms and it didn't have any ....

Mixed experience - Aldos is one of the best chippy's in belfast when the food is fresh and the order is correct. I usually order from them on a weekly basis and get the same two meals every single time. The issue with the restaurant is that almost every single week there is a problem with the order. Even when you go through the order over the phone and have them repeat it back to you there is often times still mistakes. (missing items, incorrect meals etc). I just don't understand why it is so hard to take an order over the phone. Even after I brought this to their attention on multiple occasions the problems still persist. The last time I ordered my meal was completely wrong. The server claimed "thats what he thought I said" even though I made him go over the order and corrected his mistake. I even made him acknowledge it before the call ended. But as I said above, when the order is correct and the food is fresh they are up there with the best of them. Its just a shame they cant get that part right.

Great fish and chips best ever.

I bought a chicken fillet burger meal tonight, was charged £7.30 when it's usually £7.00 and you don't get a 500ml bottle with the meal anymore you now only get a 330ml tin. That's a disgrace, every chippy gives you a bottle with a meal deal. Overpriced won't be going back.

Food was freezing Steakette burnt rock-hard battered sausages burnt also went to wrong address got a pastie was the size of a 10p got a cheesey chip stone cold and it cost me £16 really fs first time getting out of it will be the last 😠

Just in the door from a days work and my daughter is crying I asked what was wrong get this she ordered from Ur place for her dinner and when it came the food was wrong her milkshake had melted and to top it all off one of Ur drivers stroked my 13 year old £2 on her delivery and then when use were phoned about it use turned it round like it was her fault absolute disgusting service plus the driver lied to her saying he give her the right change would never use Aldo's again,and if you don't believe how bad they are just look at there response to my review.

Beautiful fish and chips , consistently delicious, good value for money too

Recieved a delivery from aldos got a melted strawberry milkshake, delivery driver took 15 pound from the 20 pound note i gave him when my order only cost 12.90 including delivery. I then got a phone call and was spoken to very rudely being accused of stealing 2 pound and that the driver did give me 7 pound 10 i then calmly explained how i was only given a 5 pound note , they then accused me of lying so i then hung up. I will never order from here again one of my favourite chippys to one of the worst i have gotten from.

Food is always fresh and never disappoints, its a busy place so you could be waiting a few mins but it's worth it, pink pasties, cowboy supers and their chicken burgers are among my favourites there milkshake bar is great as well.
