Rang to ask if they serve halal and they hung up hearing the question. Disgraceful. Shouldn’t operate a business with such bigotry hatred.

After read the reviews myself and my husband went to this restaurant and where delighted with the service and the food was outstanding I highly recommend the chicken in chilli and honey sauce is so yummy 😋

This place hasn't changed a bit in all the years it's been here. Amazing food, very quick service. And friendly staff

Lovely Chinese. Hard to find in Belfast

We visited this second-floor Chinese restaurant in Belfast, a short walk from our hotel. The ambience and decor were cool and calming. Each table had a tablecloth and beautifully folded napkins. The menu was extensive and the prices reasonable. Service was very efficient. The food was delicious, especially the wonton soup. All 4 people in our party were happy with their selections and agreed on quality and quantity. I would definitely recommend Joy Inn restaurant to everyone.

Fantastic Chinese Restaurant, Joy Inn. Myself and 7 family members enjoyed a birthday meal 25/8/24. Food was superb! Incredible staff, so attentive in every aspect. We all thoroughly enjoyed and look forward to returning. Would definitely recommend, you will not be disappointed in any way. Many thanks for a terrific birthday meal.

Called in on the strength of online reviews and really glad we did. Hit the Sunday special of starter and main for £13.95. Excellent value, no small portions and of course most importantly great tasting food. Sticky off pudding shared to top it off and this was spot on too. No faults at all - well done.

First time visiting Belfast and therefore this beautiful restaurant! The food was mouth watering delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Cannot fault the staff as they were attentive and very friendly. 100% go back next time in Belfast and urge others to give them a try (if they haven’t already)

Ordered from the just eat service they offer. Ordered chicken fried rice with no peas and of course they don’t listen it’s full of peas in fact I’d say there’s more peas than rice in the box spent more time removing the peas than they probably did cooking it. So by the time I got to eat it of course it was freezing cold. The chips are not Chinese chips either more like McDonald’s fries. For £52 for 3 people and two of them being rice dishes it’s definitely not worth the money if they don’t listen to what the customers want. Wouldn’t take for someone to have an allergen to anything because they don’t adhere to customers preferences. Won’t be eating from this company again!

Staying in the hotel beside this restaurant and the amount of mice and rats we have seen early hours of this morning is ridiculous plus food was awful stay clear

There were 21 of us (teammate traveling) great service, super kind and pleasant. Nothing to complain about, everyone loved it.

Good food but always forget items I’ve paid for and the can never do anything about it because the don’t have there own delivery drivers! But then you can’t clam a refund off just eat either so just go to the loss every time

The beef curry is horrible and more like soup. Extremely watery and the beef was terrible too, a shame as any other time been good.

Absolutely disgusted I have ordered from this restaurant a few times but 3 times i have not received my order , just eat delivery service has let me down with no response because the delivery driver couldn’t understand English he went to the wrong address then blocked my number I didn’t receive refund it’s just money threw away on there part it’s constantly an on going issue with the delivery service an no refund at all the restaurant was very helpful but just eat really are a take on

Total waste of money, both dishes douced in garlic and while inloge garlic there is no other taste to the dishes than honking garlic... Waste of time.and money

Visited with husband while on holiday in Belfast. We arrived just before 9 pm but weren't told this was a problem. Ordered food. Starters came in minutes. Mine was nice, but I was still eating it when the waiter took plate away from me. I had put cutlery down but was dipping crackers into the mango sauce. Didn't want to make a scene so just let it go. Mains came swiftly. As I was eating one of the waiters stood staring at me and making me feel extremely uncomfortable. He made me feel as though I was keeping him from getting away on time . I felt so uncomfortable I asked for my food to go. When bill was brought over I told waiter how uncomfortable my entire experience had been and suddenly he couldn't understand English even although he did not have a problem prior to this. I explained about 5 times how both himself and the other waiter had made me feel and when he eventually decided to confirm he had understood me he told me they close at 9.30 although on their website it says 10pm. I then said why had he allowed us to take a seat and order and he turned really nasty and snatched the payment off my husband and glared a deathly stare at me. It's safe to say we won't be returning. Also, food was OK but vastly overpriced I would have given no stars at all but had to give one to be able to write a review.

Its a good traditional Chinese, my dad loves it especially the duck in orange sauce and banna desert. Very friendly service.

Server was not friendly at all, did not feel welcome at all. The food was average and the chicken satay was very dry. I saw that it was meant to be baby friendly but although I was given a high chair (straps were filthy) that was the extent of their ‘baby friendliness.’ There are NO baby changing facilities at this restaurant. I had to change my baby on the floor in the toilets which is unacceptable. Going out to eat with a baby is stressful enough without having to crouch on a dirty bathroom floor. Will not recommend.

Fantastic service, very attentive but not Intrusive. The food was very good, being seafood it could have been less than appetising but the dish was excellent. I enjoyed the atmosphere, it was quiet and relaxing and I appreciated the lack of background music. The seating was comfortable and I think the decor was very interesting and thoughtfully designed.

The incredible owner of this restaurant walked back and forth in the rain to my hotel across the street to deliver my food and allow me to pay with my one credit card I have left after everything else had been hacked, preventing me from paying for anything. I was afraid to use the Just Eat delivery company because they lied about delivering food to me. I called him both to warn him against using the fraudulent delivery company and to see if someone could deliver his restaurant's food to me such a short distance. I have developed a nerve condition from being in chronic stress and fear where my feet can suddenly go out from under me without warning. It suddenly started to rain hard and I knew I was even more likely to slip and fall on the wet sidewalk. I HAD to ask for help even though I have hated troubling anyone my whole life. I'm SOOO GRATEFUL TO THIS MAN.

Food is always gorgeous. Ordered salted chilli chicken tonight and got some other kind of chicken instead by accident. It was delicious and I’m only sad that I don’t know the name of it to order it again!

Joy inn is the first place I went as soon as I landed in Belfast, I have to say the food is basic They have a wide range of options for every preference, duck, pork, beef, chicken, vegan, fish. They have nice warm dishes for a cold winter as well I asked for about 5 different dishes and 2 entrees and from a foodie opinion I’d give it a 6/10. It was decent. Chips were clearly frozen and the Mongolian chicken was very watery. overpriced for bad quality food.

First salt and chilli chicken I have received from here and it was perfect unlike a lot of other places it seems. Not completely dry and generous with veg plus the accompaniments were spot on. 10/10

I have tried so many Chinese restaurants all over locally and indeed a few in the world. Getting upstairs was a hard job with my arthritis. Now I was here before and decided to try again. Service was initially quick. I ordered a fried prawn and mango starter. Came quickly. About 6 medium prawns in a sickly sweet mango strum. Overall poor value and lacked class. For mains I ordered Mongolian beef sizzling and fried rice. The sauce was good with a wee kick. Beef though soft was chewy. Fried rice came instead of boiled rice I ordered. Pretty plain it was. Staff attentative. With a glass of white wine came to £38.00.Very expensive for quantity. Over rated place. Still think lemon grass Holywood is better. No rush back.

I really really enjoyed Joy inn but tonight I just couldn’t eat it. The amount of garlic in the honey chilli just completely overpowered the whole meal, it was all that I could taste. As I said, I really enjoy this Chinese usually but it’s put me off a bit :(

Delivery driver arrived on time but I noticed after I took the order that his zip on his trousers was down and he was completely exposed!!!!! I was that shocked that I ran inside again and locked the door! I have thought all night if I should report this and I am just letting you know incase it has happened before to someone.

Order didn’t come. Restaurant said it wasn’t their problem as was just eat driver. Awaiting over an hour and then told it’s not their problem. Avoid at all costs, clearly poor management of orders.

Were do I start was my favourite Chinese was disappointed this time will give this Chinese a miss for a while whoever delivered the food had it all tipped to one side were the gravy had went through the boxes in to the bag over everything ruined the other food plus I didn’t ask for gravy chips I asked for curry the rice was freezing but putting a cold tin of coke in top of it would explain that common sense like don’t put cold stuff in with warm food had to wash the tin as it was covered in grab

Another great meal from Joy Inn, sweet and sour was lovely as always, salt&chilli chips had an interesting flavour I've not tasted in s&c chips before, maybe a little five spiced or something? Either way, once I got over the "oh that's new" surprise, they were some of the nicest salt and chilli chips of my life. Food's always delivered super hot too, just all round really glad I found this place
