Olive Tree Restaurant Bedford in Bedford

on multiple occasions I have ordered the mixed grilled with a side of bread and garlic sauce. The food tasted home made and fresh every time. Absolutely lovely.

I’m still in here and I’m so impressed that I just had to review. Very tasty food and well made drinks, cannot recommend this place enough! Lovely staff also, Harun & Volkon were very accommodating and delivered excellent customer service.

A lovely place to eat in Bedford. As you are taken to your table all the staff greet you with a smile making you feel immediately very welcome. We started off with the hot Meze mix giving us a good variety of flavours. The Chicken Guvec was lovely and served hot. We finished off with desserts, one thing we both noticed was that the portion sizes were not only filling but we both finished each course at the same time. The toilets were immaculately clean and for want of a better phrase they looked like you could eat your dinner off them. We’ll be going back there.

The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. This night was for my birthday. And for your birthday, they play music, and bring out a cake with sparklers, and the whole restaurant claps along with the music to help you celebrate. One of the servers 'Harun', made it a very pleasant and entertaining evening. He was hilarious.

I didn't find it very tasty. We Turks are fond of our tastes, so it wasn't very tasty, it wasn't cooked well and it was cold. But I liked the employees, they were friendly.

Absolutely fabulous little find x it like a tardis... It looks like nobody is in it then the lovely concierge takes you passed the very busy friendly kitchen where you can clearly see the chefs busy working. Then all of a sudden you're on the heart of the restaurant and what a buzz there is in there. Full of people who obviously are repeat customers and well, why wouldn't you be! The staff are so incredibly attentive, absolutely nothing was a trouble, nice friendly people and so professional. The food is magic on a plate and so delightful to the eye and full of flavour even the salad was a taste explosion!! So, the folk in the kitchen were obviously Wizards with what they can do with salad and meat!! So nice to be able to say thanks and Bye to them on the way out! Just Wonderful Definitely would highly recommend... Hunt it out!! With a bottle of wine and a 2 course meal with more than enough food for two - £25 per head. A special Gem of a place 🫶

Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. Management's very accommodating and can try to fit you in, but I would recommend booking first. Very popular place and you are guaranteed a fantastic meal.

Very nice restaurant,the food is super good. I ordered the Olive Tree Special which you can try chicken, lamb and beef all together and I like the chicken wings a lot. And I would like to strongly recommend the bread(served by the house free of charge), it’s so good I even ask for another portion!

I have been going to this restaurant since 2019 or 2020 when my son took me there for Mother's Day, and I am never disappointed. The food is always 👌 🔥 and staff are always pleasant, attentive, and helpful. One of the owners (his name eludes me now) is a star 🌟. He is welcoming and remembers you. He is willing to take a picture for and with you, and is that host! I have taken quite a few friends to the restaurant, had our staff Christmas party there, and have recommended it to others, and they all keep going back. Did I say I love their birthday song 🎵 🤔, well I do. Someone always seems to be having a birthday (sometimes 3 or 4 persons) when you visit. Olive Tree is just a whole vibe, and I will keep going.

Anytime we go to Bedford I have to come here, even if it’s just for a cheeky takeaway like today. I always order extra bread and chilli sauce as it’s the best I have ever tasted, I like to keep a pot in the fridge! I always save some for Ron!

Fantastic service and food. We had the share platter for 2, and it came with complimentary bread. I would recommend the restaurant and make sure you make a booking as it gets pretty busy on a Saturday.

One of the best restaurants in Bedford, if not the best. Always have brilliant service. We were celebrating my sisters birthday today and even though we didn't tell them, the staff noticed a birthday card and brought out a dessert with a candles after we'd eaten. That was so thoughtful and made her day! Also brownie points for allowing the veg moussaka to come with rice instead of potatoes (the MK branch never let me swap it).

Us friends got together for the last time in 2023 at the Olive Tree restaurant. Food was delicious, the portions were very good, would recommend the platters, service was excellent, enjoyed the cocktails 🍹 especially the Strawberry Daiquiri. Great atmosphere and will surely be visiting again 👍🏼

Went last for dinner with a group of 7 to welcome a friend home. The food was great, the atmosphere was great. I agree with other reviews that the music was a bit loud, but really that’s the only complaint. But the staff were exceptional. We had 2 babies with us and they could not have been more accommodating, even though it was very busy in the restaurant. And they were so friendly with the babies too, it was lovely. They asked us what the occasion was and made sure we had a good time. Really can’t recommend this place enough for a fun night out, we’ll be back!

went here for a work meal a couple of weeks back and the service was truly exceptional. The staff were friendly from the get go making sure we were satisfied with every part of the visit. We had a lovely young waitress and waiter who kept checkin on on us. the food was also so tasty. would defo recommend as so friendly and so tasty

We came to celebrate a birthday and what an absolute pleasure this restaurant was. It had a great atmosphere and there were several birthday groups that evening as we had the birthday song played several times with the recipients receiving a complimentary dessert. Everybody in our party thoroughly enjoyed this meals, the servers were attentive and really pleasant. I've eaten at many Turkish restaurants and this is one of the very best. The whole evening was great and I will definitely be returning.

My first time dining at Olive Tree in Bedford. It was a good experience, food is excellent although I think it's a little bit on a priciest side, staff was very attentive. There was a little accident where a waiter accidentally dropped the fries on my friends head but it all ended well and the waiter was very apologetic, no harm was done.

This is the third time I’ve been to olive tree and I have to say the food is amazing, we struggle to find decent halal places in Bedford and this always hits the spot. The ambience is just wow and also kids friendly. What really stands out to me is the customer service every single employee will greet you very welcoming and very polite. Great service as always olive tree keep it up!! My kids also love dining there!

Food was good but not especially large prtions. Main drawback wax it was Loud, far too loud. School canteen noisy. Not at all good for anyone with sensory needs.

Took exactly one hour to get food ready, even though there was just another table with us, not in a peak time. Waiters very rude and did not apologise. I left the place, they were gonna charge me for everything even though I only had starters

Constantly asked waiters for my food. Took them 45 minutes to come get my order even though I am a regular customer and I always have my order ready. Then another 30 minutes to bring starters and a whole hour to bring the main. The day after went back there and kindly ask them to not have the same service as the previous day and they refused to serve me

First of all its very expensive for 5 very small pieces of chicken shish. Also very expensive for one piece adana and Its not tasty all. We also ordered kids meal and its very spicy for kids. Me and my husband came for our 13th wedding anniversary. I don’t think I’ve been anywhere that I’ve received such a lovely service. They are very welcoming. We were served by two lovely ladies one was called Tash but I didn’t get the other ladies name. The food was delicious and fresh. We had cocktails that were very good. We also had a dessert and tried some Turkish tea both lovely. I’d recommend the place to anyone and will definitely be back. Thankyou

Had a delightful dinner tonight at the Olive Tree. Was amazed at what a beautiful space was behind the tiny frontage. The staff were all incredibly welcoming. Complementary focaccia and dips were delightful. It used to be customary to get bread on the table, that's the first time I've seen that in years. Nice touch. Our waitress Tash served me Mousaka with a smile which was excellent. It was the best meal we'd ever had in Bedford for sure. Can't wait to go back with family and friends.

We had a really excellent meal here last night! My boyfriend had a positive experience here for a works' leaving meal and we decided to come as our last food in Bedford for a while before he moved away to live with me. We called up at half 7 on the off chance they had a table and they were able to slot us in at 8:45. We had to wait a little for our table on arrival but I'm not surprised because we made the reservation so late and they were absolutely PACKED. The food was delicious. We ordered 2 starters (halloumi and cheese in filo rolls) and we also got free bread served with Turkish dips, and it was incredible. The mains were equally good. I had the stuffed aubergine which said it was topped with cheese and I was hoping for a decent amount of cheese. There was so much delicious gooey cheese on top of the really tasty veggies and sauce. It came with little oven potatoes which were great for dipping. My boyfriend really enjoyed his meaty mains on each visit. They have a reasonably extensive cocktail menu and the 2 we had were great. Desserts were a bit average however, I have been to restaurants that serve great savoury food and don't even have a dessert menu, so I wouldn't knock any points off for this. Everything we wanted was available despite it being busy, which was great, as a lot of the time as a veggie places run out of what I'd like to eat and I have to make compromises. Despite being packed, staff were incredibly attentive. Our order was taken swiftly and the food also came out in good time. We were checked on regularly to make sure everything was ok and a member of staff did free limoncello shots with us at the end. This is something so many restaurants fail to do in peak times and it was a refreshing change. It wasn't the most personal service if I'm being extremely nit picky- but still really good service. The most annoying thing was the amount of happy birthdays being sung since they play loud music over the speaker- but it's popular for special meals for good reason as detailed above. We will return when we visit Bedford in future.

It was our first visit to this restaurant and we were suitably impressed. The decor is very interesting and appealing. The service was excellent and the food incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. The staff are helpful and attentive. A very positive experience.

Went here to celebrate my birthday, and boy did they deliver, the food was wonderful, the service delightful, can't wait to return. Not you run of the mill turkish food, try the Emperor's Chicken it was out of this world and the best falafel I've ever eaten

The food was very good, we had the sharing starter and the warning from the waiter that it was filling came true! I was pretty hungry following a big cycle earlier in the day but struggled to eat all of my main after enjoying the starter and brilliant bread! The starter was well worth it, but next time will rain it back and just get some hummus to save some space! The mains were equally as nice, i had the moussaka and would recommend it. We will be back again.

Visited the place second time - had a contrast of an experience. We wanted to celebrate my friends birthday- the food was average and further more it was ruined by the staff and the attendants. The body language was not warm and welcoming, there was lot of confusion and constant query regarding bringing out the celebration tray. We did call them up and spoke to them about the celebrations. But the staff was so confused and unwilling - we had to ask them 3 times and every conversation made us more upset and unwilling to celebrate and leave the restaurant. Just not to ruin the day for our friend we kept waiting. Very bad experience!!! However I have to add had a beautiful similar experience last time , I would say it was all because of the wonderful staff and this time the staff ruined for us !!!

Yesterday we went to have dinner, celebrate friend birthday, very bad attitude, a small table for 6, so packed, plates, oil fell from table, bad behaviour, didn't keep up with the order. Argument with us instead of service, will never go there again.

Food is always lovely and the service is impeccable. Their bread is always on point- addictive almost. Meat is succulent and well seasoned. Great place to eat out for casual dining and for special occasions.

For most of the time , the service staff stood on top of my head to see when I will finish eating. Came literally every 2 minutes to ask me to take all of our plates even though I told them nicely every time I haven’t finished my food and needed few more minutes . Felt very uncomfortable. Not sure why they did that as there were so many empty tables around us and it wasn’t even near the closing time. The food was good.
