This place is amazing. Brilliant Moroccan food, very good prices. Recently moved location, Just gets better and better.

This is a fabulous place to eat. The food is home made and delicious and the surroundings are cozy, exotic and atmospheric. I would definitely go again and highly recommend a visit.

By far the best restaurant experience I've had in Belper! The food was authentic, tasty, and fresh. The staff were switched on, professional and clearly enjoyed working there. Atmosphere was cozy yet lively. Seriously wish I knew about it sooner! Can't wait to go back. Many thanks!

I'm pleased to say Belper has many great restaurants. This is not one of them. I was expecting something amazing based on the reviews, but what we got was not even remotely adequate. Authentic food was in short supply; supermarket pittas, olives, stale bread and desserts left me feeling like I'd just been to the local coop and bought a cheap picnic. "Flatbreads" consisting of a packet tortilla with some cheddar melted inside. Shop bought meatballs. I'm not even convinced they own basic cookery equipment aside from a microwave based on what came out of the "kitchen". The only redeeming dish was the lamb tagine, but this was overpriced and the accompanying couscous was poorly cooked. Expensive, cramped, terrible service, poor food, lazy. No thanks.

Was expecting good things after reading the reviews. Sadly fell far short , waited for nearly an hour for starters, then they appeared 10 minutes apart .waited again for mains. We both had tagines, lamb & and vegetables, bland & tasteless. Be careful of the corkage charges it's £2.00 per person.

Amazing food and atmosphere, but pricey decorking charge - £2 per person. I'd go again, but not take my own bottle. If not for this 5 stars. Don't mind paying for decorking, but £8 on the bill for unscrewing our own bottles is a bit steep.

Wonderful find when visiting friends in Belper. Every dish was quality and even got the carnivores complimenting the vegetarian dishes. Great service and personable staff and owner.

Small and cosy, only 2 staff, and they were very friendly. Tables are quite small. Freshly prepared food was cooked to order, quite quickly, and was authentic and delicious. No drinks licence, but you can take in your own booze, and glasses are provided. A hidden gem of a restaurant.

It wasn't for me. As a vegetarian, none of the food options appealed to me but I was grateful for the plain salad and bread I had. The company I was with and the general atmosphere of the restaurant made up for the food. This is purely a personal opinion and I don't wish to degrade the restaurant in anyway. The others I was with really enjoyed the food, saying it was wonderfully cooked, with great flavours ... But this kind of cuisine was simply not my cup of tea.

We've wanted to eat here for some time and it was wirth the wait. Fabulous, cosy atmosphere and wonderful delicious food. We can't wait to go again.

A Moroccan Dream! Went to this little gem last night for my friends birthday and we couldn't be more impressed! The restaurant was warm and cosy, and the owner and waitress were welcoming and all around angels. They offered to bring a selection of food (after asking about allergies etc) and safe to say it was an impressive feast! It was some of the best food we've ever had! We had a full salad, falafel, baked brie, spinach flatbread, roasted chicken, and lamb tagine. The salad was crisp and dressed to perfection, with surprising bursts of mango and blueberry perfectly complimenting the salty feta and tangy dressing. The spinach flatbread was simple and comforting- definitely something I'll try and make at home now! And the falafel was so flavourful and moist- a true feat, and the baked brie really hit the spot. The chicken though, the chicken! It was so moist, marinated to perfection, and juicy and crisp- even the bed of salad it was on was dressed and tasty. The lamb tagine was decadent, lamb falling off the fork and the sauce truly tantalising- just the right amount of spice. There was nary a crumb left on the table after we feasted haha! The host should charge more honestly, because their skill is something rare to find. Thank you, Olive! We'll be back!

This place is a little hidden gem with real character. We've been twice within a few days, the food has been great both times especially if you're veggie, hospitality lovely, great ambience. Plus BYOB so splash out on some nice wine! It's our new go-to.

It may be a small restaurant with limited opening hours but it makes up for that with a wide choice of menu options and everything is cooked to your liking. Prices are excellent, bring your own booze - just pay corkage.

Honestly had a pretty poor experience here. The good: Staff were friendly. Food was mainly good. I enjoyed the cosy vibe of the place. The bad: Our food came out in an extremely disjointed way. My mum and dad had finished their main meals before mine had arrived which I had to chase. The "flatbread" were simply supermarket tortillas folded and filled with cheese and sweet potato and toasted (and £8 each). Two orders of halloumi came at different times (also £8 each! Which seems like a lot for a few slices of halloumi). Generally I think the food was too expensive for what was received. Rice seemed to be from a microwave packet as well though I cannot be certain.

Finally visited this lovely restaurant with friends. We were regulars Jacqui's other place before covid, and have had takeaways too. Really loved it as always and our friends were so impressed by the food the ambiance , everything. They are already planning future visits to introduce friends to this lovely restaurant. The place was buzzing and completely full. A great night out. Thanks you Jacqui loved it just as much as always.

This is an amazing find. I ate here tonight for the first time with a couple of others and we all loved it. We ordered a few of the dishes between us so we could sample the menu and weren't disappointed. Every bite was melt in the mouth delicious and full of flavour. The atmosphere was relaxed and cosy. And the members of staff were friendly and helpful. Can't wait to eat here again.

This is a unique, very non-corporate restaurant. The food is lovely, the service is great in a non-conventional way. If your looking for slick it's not for you. This place is really honest, warm and affectionate, a little chaotic, but great.

Quirky (in a good way) restaurant serving excellent home cooked food, Moroccan style. It doesn't have an online menu but, don't worry; there's a good range of dishes to choose from. Lots of meze dishes for starters followed by mains such as tagine. And the owner + staff are really friendly.

Fantastic little restaurant. It has a limited menu but the food is great. Bring your own alcohol and no credit/debit card payments but don't let that put you off. Jackie makes sure you get a warm welcome. You won't be disappointed

Simply a slice of paradise in the middle of Belper. I come here to completely escape the stresses of the outside world and am never disappointed. The owner had such vision in creating this place and has made the most relaxing environment where ultimately the food is the centre piece surrounded by fabulous decor, attentive staff and a warm atmosphere. I have never been to Morocco but I know if the food is anything to go by I will love it. You can tell the whole experience from the minute you set foot in the door is steeped in authenticity created by a person who has lived, breathed and embraced this culture. I came here again for the first time in years after moving away as there is no where else I would want to go in the area and I was recognised and greeted very warmly. You could not ask for better service or higher quality food. GO, EAT and ENJOY!

Absolutely fantastic food and service. We weee a party of 8 celebrating a birthday. We were recommended to share a few mezze and ravines between us all. What a fantastic way to try all of the different food and tastes, plus gives you chance to try dishes that you wouldn’t normally order. I really would give this restaurant a try in Belper, amazing!
