Olive Branch in Liverpool

AWFUL RIP OFF! got 2 x wraps, virtually no meat in them at all (more meat in a happy neal chicken nugget) salad, lettuce and olives only! NEVER AGAIN! Worst £14.50 I've ever spent!

I visited lately with my partner and was hugely let down by the poor service and attitude towards providing basic customer service. I worked in hospitality for 5+ years so i know how it gets when it’s getting late and you’re tired, but if you can’t help but roll your eyes and mutter under your breath in a language i don’t understand then it’s really not the industry you should be in. We went in at 9pm as it said it was open, no smiles no friendly welcome just made us feel like we were wrong for being in there. Customers were still coming in after us but when I asked for the 2 dips i’d paid for that hadn’t came with the food I got an eye roll and a huff as the lady walked off for 10 mins to come back and throw them on the table infront of us. The veggie burger was 100% a tesco veggie burger but deep fried and the chips were like the ones you get at a footy match. Just not great. Wont be going back.

Me and my friend use to come here a lot and then me and my brother. This is a delicious place to eat. It has a nice seating area upstairs where you can enjoy your kebab. I’d say this is a great place for everyone to eat at. The taste is out of this world. 👍

Visited for a quick lunch with the wife. Unbelievably quick service and both our food was amazing!!! Highly recommend this place.

Halloumi burger for a fiver was lovely. Very good choice of salad and sauces when your meat/veggie option is ready and it was lovely! The place is tiny, but also cosy. The only negative would be that if it's busy, you won't get a seat! Will definitely be back when I'm next in Liverpool.

Came across this take away on a visit to Liverpool Had a chicken wrap very good price £5.50 Served hot and fresh it was delicious Chips and drink £1 extra staff are so very helpful I will definitely advise my family and friends to try it

We calked in again during our Liverpool break, cheeseburgers were fantastic once more.Large burgers, plenty of salad and crispy hot fries.Everything is cooked to order & you can sit and wait inside, actually seeing your order cooked in front of you.The food and service is faultless.

I absolutely love this place. The food is fantastic and so reasonably priced!! Chicken wrap, chips and a can for ££5.50. Better than McDonald or Nando’s. Me and my partner always come here. It’s a very small side street place but I hope one day they make it into a restaurant because it’s great.

Delicious food, fresh, hot, good portions, a range of sauces and salads for kebabs, seating available, friendly staff members and great food before a gig.

This place has to be given a go.Very tasty food.Lamb wrap amazing.Reasonable prices as well.Limited seating area but good if you want food on the go and something different to the usual mainstream fast food,as this is far superior to anything like that.

Best lamb/chicken shwarma in liverpool hands down. Been here for years it is the ultimate lunchtime or tea time treat. Honemade tsatziki aswell fresh salad and the tastiest tenderiest shwarma this side of Istanbul

Great place to stop into for a quick bite to eat on he run. The lamb kebab was dripping with meat oil, but otherwise was really good and hot the spot when I was hungry.

We had cheeseburger & fries as meal deals.We saw the place during the day,walking around the city and called in later in the evening.So glad we remembered how amazing the food smelt,the service was great and food cooked to order,right in front of you.The burger was very tasty and cooked perfectly,we will certainly recommend to all friends.

Found this place by accident on the way to Lyme street station. Food was gorgeous! Salad and sauces all fresh. Meat perfection. Staff polite and working hard. Will definitely be coming here on our next trip to Liverpool. Seating area very clean. Exactly what we needed before the train.

A very friendly, atmospheric, small but very delicious Mediterranean diner which offers a LOT of value for the price you pay! Been there twice now and have had the veggie burger meal which consists of a customisable veggie burger, fries and a drink. Each time it was absolutely incredible using proper brioche burger buns and quality ingredients. Chips are also cooked to perfection and you get a good portion of them and it was only £4.95. Probably my favourite Mediterranean restaurant in Liverpool and cannot recommend this little gem enough.

Popped in while feeling a little peckish got a small chicken shish full of flavour reasonable price will return but get a large one next time

I went to have my lunch in there, I've been planty of times, the food is always nice but the girl who is working on the salad section she never wear gloves, today she was restocking the fridge with the cold drinks and after that without to wash her hands she touched my food. On top of this I sad down to eat and one member of the staff moped the floor with bleach infront of me, not nice at all.

Was looking for cheapish lunch and walked past a couple of pizza and noodle places but this was the one that caught our eye. So pleased we did. The food is super fresh and tasty. I had a chicken Sheesh kebab. Massive portion and perfectly cooked. There is barely no seating though. Definitely more street food and walking not sitting down. There was a tiny mezzanine balcony to sit on but it was absolutely baking!!Would very much recommend though.

Ceiling is too low in seating area, you have no hope if you’re tall. The chips are nice. Could do with more tables and a higher sealing. No toilet, I don’t think Dion Dublin from Homes Under The Hammer would be happy, and he’s not even the best he should stick to football.

Had a wrap today loads of salad hardly any chicken won’t be back .overcooked small dry chicken not value for money when food outlets are fighting for your custom .

This has become our go to take away the food is always amazing and I would recommend the olive branch special 😋

Based on the centre of Liverpool, Olive Branch has a good quality food with very good hygiene but it is offset by the extremely rude staff (especially the cashier) and small portions for the price you pay (i.e. "signature burger" costs over £ 6.50 only for the burger, lamb wrap costs £ 5.00 for a very small and skinny wrap with little meat).There are far better options in town to spend your money on.

The best takeaway in Liverpool if you looking for that nice ottoman taste. Was completely blown away by that food. Worth a try. My favourite takeaway from now on.

Spotted this place while walking around Liverpool this afternoon, and made a mental note to take a closer look on walking back to the car. I'm so glad I did, wow! Chicken Shawarma each for my wife and I. Loads of chicken and lots of really fresh and crunchy salad too. Service was quick and friendly and at £9 great value,we were both stuffed after it. Definitely great food for on the hoof as such. I'll be going again to try their other delights.

Left everyone waiting for 15 minutes while the all ran round the shop looking for ingredients they didn’t have, then finally came over and said they didn’t have it THENN had a face one when I asked for a refund! Don’t even waste the 15 minutes of your life that you’ll spend waiting for ok food, also food has make me and a friend sick when we actually waited!!!!

My partner and I were walking through Liverpool and decided to stop for a bite to eat. As it was Good Friday we didn't want to eat meat so were discussing our options when we saw this place. We had a look at the menu and decided to order some halloumi burgers and fries. The food was prepared from scratch and we could choose our salad options. We decided to sit in to eat at the table to the back of the shop. The food was so good and tasted very fresh. We got there just in time as after we ordered the place got a queue out the door! The men who were cooking and serving had such a good rapport with one another they worked really efficiently. I am so glad we decided to stop here for our lunch.

I go here every 2 weeks or so. I really enjoy the peri peri chicken strips with fries.It only costs £6 for 6 chicken strips, loads of chips and a can of drink.I usually sit in the small area upstairs and enjoy my food.Recommended.

Found this little place on a night out, the food was delicious and service was quick and firendly. Located near the bottom of matthew st. & Yates bar. We will be going here after every night out in Liverpool in future!

This is a great place for all kebab lovers, They do good tasty portions, the wraps are a taste explosion . The shawarmas are also tasty treats and are slightly better than Bacs.

Stayed for 2 nights in Liverpool at The Hilton. Ate all over the city. This was the most enjoyable food I had whilst there.Ordered a mixed wrap to ward off hunger on the spur of the moment. What a pleasant surprise! Succulent, tasty meat, lovely fresh salad. As any wrap afficionado will tell you, the mouthfulls get better the further down you go! The last one was a meaty, greasy heaven! Highly recommended!

The food here was very good. We had the lamb wraps and they were delicious, probably the best I've had. The location is right in the centre of the city and easy to find. All the ingredients tasted very fresh and we were served quickly and efficiently. I would recommend and I look forward to going back again and maybe trying more items from the menu.

Wraps are extremely tasty and good value for money! The meat is well cooked and the portions generous.

I went in to this place and asked for a meat recommendation. Well I was so pleasantly surprised. It was the best lamb shawarma wrap I've had in Liverpool. I had it with a bit of all their salads. Sauces I had a mixture of hot chili and mayo, delicious. The service was quick and friendly, I'll be back for more recommendations. Thanks chaps.

If you like kebabs this place is simply amazing. Food is cooked fresh and plenty of fresh salad and sauces to add to your dish. Highly recommended.

Really great place to fill up empty stomach! Chicken wraps are amazing and we'll priced. There is only one thing this place is missing... Put it all in a naan bread and make it a kebab! Would be the best around!

Great little kebab shop in the middle of Liverpool's city center. Thouroughly enjoyed my wrap today, very kind and hard working staff which was great to see. Great value for money, and the toppings looked and tasted very fresh. Loved the look of the shop, wood interior and a little sit down area upstairs. Would recommend this place for a quick bite to eat as you will really enjoy it! Will return

Just stumbled across this place as I was walking through the town centre today. I had a great falafel wrap which was very fresh with a great choice of toppings including humus, olives, gherkins, lettuce, jalapeños etc. I am already awaiting my next trip to Liverpool so that I can go again!

If you're ever in the city centre try it they do the best shawarma in Liverpool. They're located in front of the met quarters mall.

Stumbled across this kebab/wrap place and decided to go in. It looks so much nicer inside than outside. they have really invested in this place - professional screens, nice, varied menu offering wraps, burgers, chicken etc. Seems much more authentic than many other kebab places in the city centre. Nice upstairs seating area with beautiful coloured lamps. Staff work really hard here and the wraps are absolutely delicious. Really good value for money and great service. Nice presentation of food too. I can see that this place will start off small and grow to be like Shiraz (another restaurant/cafe in the city centre). It's now my new kebab local. Try it because you won't regret it!

I just stopped here by chance but what a lovely lamb sheesh i had; 10 out of 10. If you want something quick for take way - this is the place. There are few tables though, if you want to seat down

Normally have the chicken shawarma wrap. Its great tasting costing £4. It does take time to prepare about 10 minutes but is worth it. There is a "secret upstairs" which is secluded it is dark and warm in winter and cool in summer. There is only 3 or 4 small tables. The ceiling is low about 5ft 5" at a guess.

Ordered a lamb kebab & chicken kebab to take back to hotel room. Despite it appearing to be reasonably quiet I was told I'd have to wait 20mins. Fair enough, I'm happy to do that for freshly cooked, hot food. Staff could be happier & friendlier I must say. Reasonably priced. Got back to hotel room, tasty enough although not a massive amount of meat but loads of salad. Ok for me but not hubby, my fault though as I should've mentioned this when ordering. Not a bad experience, nor great.

Found this gem of a takeaway by chance, as I was walking by. The aroma of cooking was so good, that my wife and I decided to go into the cafe, and having time to peruse the menu as other customers placed their orders, we settled on two cheese beef burgers. When they came, they were succulent, lightly spiced, and really yummy!We noticed the premises is very clean and well run. The staff were polite, and helpful too, and we also noticed a massive kebab rack cooking! Might just try that on our next visit to the city. And, it is of course, Halal meats.

Ordered a chicken wrap had to wait a few minutes for the chicken to be ready so I had time to pick my condiments, I went for red cabbage lettuce gherkin then this yogurt sauce they do and some chilli. The chicken was ready piping hot when it was ready I went to the square to eat. My first bite was like out of movie I start having flash backs to all the happiest moments in my life and this eclipsed all of them. The succulent chicken paired with the contrasting coolness of the yogurt sauce but then a kick of chili was amazing, You then start drooling over the texture of the crunchy gherkin and char grilled wrap.I started crying whilst eating this then laughing because I was crying I've been on a complete roller coaster of emotions all thanks to this little delight.

Every time I am in Liverpool city centre, I would go to this joint for a quick shawarma. The chicken one is my favorite. The fact that they have hummus, tzatziki and tahini along with all salad, pickles and pretty much any other sauce that a takeaway offers, this place should be on your must visit list. Recently, they increased their prices by 30 pence, which doesn't bother me but I am sure some people will question that. All I would say to that the quality they are providing in a city centre was worth a bit more than what they were offering at originally. So, definitely visit it when you are here next.

Absolutely amazing food here, fresh, lots of flavour and friendly smiling staff. Our new go to place.

Called in to try this street mediterranean food place on the busy Richmond Street. A good looking shawarma catched my eyes. I popped in and I suddenly noticed the huge amount of people behind the desk&counter. Nobody had a precise task and they all walked confusely doing everything. No roles were definite so I ended up ordering to somebody who seemed to be the cashier, then my order was handed over to another man who - unfortunately - never started doing my wrap, so again the cashier stepped in and did start my order but then handed the wrap to a third person as she went to take the next order. This went on and on with all 5 staff.Eventually the wrap was served, the shawarma was too greasy and leaked oil and fat from the foil, I had to rush eating it before spilling too much on the floor.The confusion I found left me a bit disappointed but I believe they are new on the business and there is room for improvement.
