Oli Baba's in Camden

Halloumi fries were nice, however it could’ve been little bit more crisp and instead of the tahini sauce they could offer garlic dip which I think would go very nice with the fries. The pomegranate seeds was a-nice touch to the halloumi.

I this it’s a bit of a crime how there wasn’t a queue here when we were ordering it. The food is incredibly good. They serve a good amount of fries and the sauces are really good. We asked ours with everything and it was amazing! Would definitely recommend this place!

The halloumi fries are tasty but could have been crispier. The toppings are delicious but has a slightly sweet, cinnamon taste. A little expensive but you get a good sized portion of 9 pieces and the surroundings are aesthetic as it’s in Camden market.

VERY overrated. Like others have stated, the presentation is great but the taste of the halloumi is very rubbery and the flavour combination to me does not blend well together and does not taste nice. The pomegranate seeds do not belong with halloumi. I would not go here again nor recommend it.

I really wanted to try halloumi fries, but unfortunately no one was interested in selling them to me. I was standing at the booth with a few other people, the oil was hot, but no staff. We waited for a long time and then people gradually started to leave. The stand was not closed because there were people standing next to them and eating fries. After some time I gave up and left. I walked by several more times, but never once did I see anyone there. I really do not understand such an approach!

Oli Baba's halloumi fries stall at Camden market attracts quite a crowd even before they open ;) Fries, good. Yogurt drizzled on top, good. Molasses, good. Spices+shreds of mint, gooood! Overall, lovely food! Quick too. If only the weather is warmer so the fries don't get cold soon, we have a real winner here :) Good place to check out if you're in Camden market. Vegetarian friendly, naturally.

Ate these Haloumi fries yesterday and really enjoyed them. Reasonable service, big portion for £8. Enjoyed the toppings and pomegranate seeds.

It was my first visit to Camden ever, A lot of my friends were telling me about Oli baba’s halloumi fries, I thought that they are exaggerating about how good is the taste. Been there, waited around 10 minutes to try the Halloumi Fries, it tasted Amazing!! so good. Highly recommend!!

Had the halloumi fries for lunch and they were really good! The fries were nice and crispy and the sauces on top were delicious.

I recommend this stand because it changes 80% of what Camden Town offers. The fried Halloumi are very good with perfect seasoning! A little expensive for the quantity but very good for an aperitif! A word to the wise 🐂

We visited Halloumi fries on our trip to Camden Market and they did not disappoint. It's super easy to decided what to order at Halloumi Fries, as there is only one thing on the menu… Halloumi Fries, the variation come from the topping you add. We made sure to add everything; Pomegranate Molasses, fresh mint, chilli flakes,sumac, za'atar yogurt and topped off with sweet pomegranate seed, so delicious. Overall , we really enjoyed the fries but for £8 there probably are other alternatives where you can get a larger portion of food for the same price.

I only came here because of the reviews on tik tok. So pricy, and it was so disgusting. There were 6 of us who tried it and not one positive feedback.

£8 for a very small portion. It's not as good as it looks, very greasy because they put too little accompaniment of mint and pomegranate. Only tastes were edible in this market

I’ve read many reviews that if you visit Camden market you should definitely make it a point to try Oli Baba’s Halloumi Fries. Well, I thought it was very tough and salty and I couldn’t finish the portion we had. It does look pretty in the picture with the sauce and pomegranate pearls, but the taste just doesn’t match up.

The Halloumi tasted great. The plate looks quite small, but after you have eaten all of the halloumi fries you realize that it’s definitely enough. They tasted amazing and were flavored nicely.

Thoroughly disappointing for the price. Would not recommend. 2 tiny sausages and a few chips for £10 is insulting.

£8 for one portion. Got about 8 halloumi sticks. Yoghurt sauce did not mix well with the freshly fried halloumi, tasted off to me. Would not go there again.

It’s fresh, it’s cheese, but it’s not overly heavy. The toppings really add brightness and freshness. Can’t miss at Camden!

I had a falafel wrap from the van near to the Tower of London. It was incredible, I would highly recommend it.

Last Saturday visited my favourite food stall in Camden. Got shock when I ordered my usual oli baba's halloumi fries. Portion has shrank so much with the price increase. I got 4,5 fries for £8 (before was £6)! I normally share portion with my husband. I will not be coming back ;( Shame because they are still delicious ;(((

omg these were great! I really enjoyed them. Crunchy, salty, tasty, sweet, umami. Great fries and the sauce combo is super. The server gave us a nice show and was super friendly and smiley! The location is cute, being in the heart of Camden Lock market, just off the prettiest canal view. Sit on the stairs to enjoy them with a nice view.

The Halloumi Fries were on the pricier end at £7.50 each. The flavours were alright, just wished the portions were a bit larger and actually reflect the price that you pay for it.

These were so good but also oily, but what do you expect, they are fried! Portions were generous, considering the amount of fried goodness you're getting so it's probably best to split with another person. There was a queue when we visited but service was fast.

Like… look at the picture. Need I say more? These fries are beautiful for one. Secondly, all the flavours were immaculate together. I have come back for the halloumi fries time and time again because they never miss! Try them!!

I can relate to the people saying they were so disappointed they nearly cried. The presentation is on point, but that's about it. Halloumi was dry, chewy and lacked flavour. I was not able to eat more than the two top ones, since the sauce wasn't enough for all of it.

I rate food, I had so much expectations but I was not impressed. Yes the sauces are what gives them a delicious touch. But there is barely any of it. I would toss them around the things before serving it. But try them is all about perspective

Nice and new combination of flavors (halloumi+yogurt+sumac+pomegranate+pomegranate molasses). The molasses was watery and I didn’t get much of its flavor. The price is high (£7.50). Employees are nice.

The original and still the best, a bit too much pomegranate molasses sauce this time round which made it slightly bitter. Will always buy a portion when in Camden nonetheless!

The halloumi fries where nice, however I felt they were a bit much to have pretty much on their own as there is not enough salad/sauce on them. Halloumi fries on their own are overwhelming. In my opinion they would taste better if they were accompanied with a bigger portion of salad or even in a wrap and perhaps have a variety of sauces to choose from. In terms of price £7 I thought was a bit much for what it is.

Don’t waste you money, soooo overhyped on social media! Staff are rude and look miserable! Fries were luke warm and like rubber, there was a pool of water/oil at the bottom and the toppings they use don’t even go together. Would never go back, go get tacos instead!

Great street market food. You get what you pay for and by far the best halloumi I’ve had in London. This will remain a go to food stop any time I am in Camden.

Those fries are absolutely fabulous! Probably the best i had so far. Only downside is that i think it's a little overpriced for the size of the snack (£7).

What was once novelty became just routinier to the point staff delivers standard seasoning of Pomegranate and Zaatar by default as they are too busy talking with one another.

Visited because my husband had seen these guys reviewed on a popular YouTube channel. It was so busy! Be prepared to queue for a while for your turn! We found it really expensive as it was £7 per serving and it was really small. In Ghana we have grilled halloumi and the deep fried version didn't taste as good in comparison... It was just ok...

It's decent, especially when there's no queue. The sauces work well with the halloumi, but other than being pretty, it's not out of the world.

The halloumi fries were perfection. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Definitely get it with all the toppings. The honey adds so much to it, though it was empty aside from one drop when we came.

Haloumi cheese fries, a must try!!

This was 7 pounds thrown away....the fries were unediblly salty, I had to gulp down a mouthful of water for each small bite, gave up and dumped them. I was very hungry too, yet I couldn't eat them as it was like putting a scoopful of salt into my mouth. Quality of the cheese wasn't great either, oily and rubbery. The only saving grace were the mint leaves on top that cult the salt and oil from my tastebuds. For all the hype, this is really disappointing. Quality control is non existent here. Service wasn't great either.

Came here during a day wandering Kerb market and we were very excited to try these halloumi fries! They were very delicious! Though in hindsight, I'd probably ask for no natural yoghurt to be put on top, as the sour taste ruins the halloumi in my opinion. But that's just my taste buds, haha! Otherwise, very tasty halloumi and friendly staff.

Service is very bad. Guys at the counter were really disrespectfull i ordered and was the only one in front of the shop, i went tend to my son while he was crying then he gave my order away to someone else which is ok but then he tells me to go back of the line and that it is my fault for going away and was directly in front of the shop by the way. The place in it is beautiful and full of other things, and I advise you to see something else because it is ordinary once, and to be honest, I was forced to eat it. I expected it to be delicious from the pictures, and sometimes it is delicious, but I seriously do not recommend it to anyone.

Went to Camden lock specifically for oli babas, was closed at half 5, put my wife in a foul mood and ruined my evening. Says you’re open until 6. Won’t waste my time again.

Who doesn’t love Halloumi? Maybe you will when spoken to like a piece of dirt. Make sure you stand in the right spot on the ground when you order, or you’ll get shouted at. Then get ready to catch your food as he throws it at you shouting “take it!”. Horrible person!

My girlfriend isn’t the biggest street food fan but tried these as she had eaten halloumi before. Overall they were pretty good but maybe there could be some more variety in toppings.

I read some reviews about Oli Baba's and how good the halloumi fries are. I just can't see what the hype is. They simply didn't have any flavor at all (other than the sauce they drizzle over them) and the texture was like rubber. Of all of the food stands in Camden Market, this one may be the worst.

I had heard a lot about Oli Baba’s and thought I would try it out as I was near Camden Market. There was a considerable queue it it moved quickly and I was served by a friendly if brusque young lady. My Halloumi Fries arrived in good time and were smothered a quantity of Za’atar yoghurt, Pomegranate seeds, Mint, Sumac and Pomegranate molasses. The fries themselves were just ok, rather dry and very salty. The condiments were overkill frankly, the only thing I liked on the fries was the yoghurt and the fresh mint. The molasses was much to sweet for me. I was not really impressed with Oli Baba’s, especially when I found myself running to find a toilet not long after I ate my fries.

A must try when visiting Camden, the halloumi fries are stunning topped with Pomegranate, chilli flakes and a sauce. Quick service, friendly staff and good location.

Delicious halloumi fries but way overpriced at £7

I visited here with a few friends over the weekend. first off the guy behind the stall was lets just say lacking in the ability of customer service. Not too sure if he was the owner or not - either way he should take a course on customer service. Then we got our Halloumi fries and wow you could actually count them- 6 fries SIXXXXX FRIES. I thought they must be having a laugh. A £1 a chip bascially wow is all I can say, absolute rip off!! I would try any of the other food places at Netil if you don't want to be dissapointed or ripped off. Much nicer service and more bang for your buck.
