Oldham Star Kebab and Pizza House in Oldham

Ordered chicken tikka on nann. Nothing like. Middle Eastern kabab house. Greasy nann and all the food smelt of charred meat and onions. and old oil. Went straight in the bin.

Been coming here for years this place is 10/10 I love the spicy chicken wraps the best but the kebabs are also just as good really nice friendly people we come here from Chorlton once a week with my brother we all love this place 10/10

Really poor customer service, food not as advertised. pizza not hot, too spicy, meet stringy and dry, couldn't eat the food. spoke to the chef and he didn't care, waste of money,

Three problems with our visit 1. Hygiene - the guys wore no gloves (except one) and were handling the food after handling money and raw meat. Not good ! Need to take a course in basic food hygiene and COVID awareness 2. Contactless machine not working - cash only - no cash so was sent to the garage across the road £1.50 charge. Asked for discount on order (large) because of this was ignored completely. 3. Quality of food - actually quite good, but their chilli sauce is absolutely tasteless compared to other places.

The owner doesn't care if customers follow the covid 19 guidelines. He allows more then 7 people in at once, most don't wear masks and never get challenged by staff. I witnessed it a number of times, when you ask the staff they don't like it. Also some of the staff don't wear masks themselves. I ordered the food over the phone and they said 10/15mins. I got there on time and the food was not ready. The place was empty with no other customers when I got there. Staff said few more minutes. Therefore, I waited outside in the cold a further 15 minutes, as it states on the door you must wear a mask in the premises and wait outside once order placed. A staff member came over and asked me whats my order twice, during this time they now had 7 other customers inside waiting with no masks on and with no social distancing. Eventhough they came after me they got their orders before me. The owner said if I don't like it I should go somewhere else, as I complained to the Manager at a previous visit due to a lack of social distancing and no masks worn on their premises. As a business it is their responsibility to protect customers and staff, and follow covid19 guidelines. He was not happy to be challenged he started to get loud and rude. Instead of apologising for making me wait the arrogant rude guy told me to go somewhere else because he doesn't like to be challenged. They need to be reported to local authorities for not complying with covid19 guidelines and management need customer service training. Just because they are busy they don't seem care about their customer's. I would like to point out that I am a regular customer and won't be going there again. I am glad their business is doing well and Insha'Allah it continues to do so. However, they need to be reminded to remain humble and stop being arrogant. (I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE)

Usual very good fast food. Fresh crisp salad, well cooked food, very tasty fast food. Ordered from here for delivery a few times now and on last 3 occasions the food has arrived late. I know accidents happen etc etc but I had to call 4 times and each time was reassured it was around the corner.... which corner you may ask.... from the first call to enquire how long they would be after we had already waited one and a half hours to actually receiving the food was just short of 2 and a half hours. Must have been driving round a few corners.... quite a few. Great food as per usual and it was hot when it arrived. I would much rather you be honest and just say we are behind or driver got lost etc than say round the corner or your delivery is next. That just makes it worse. If you want anything from here best thing to do is order and collect. Do not use the delivery service. It’s getting worse.

The Best kebabs and chicken burger on planet earth, if anyone can tell me a better one you are lying! quality of food amazing and the lads who work in there are very friendly and professional. A+++++++++++++++++++

I waited 2 hours for my food which they didn’t mention anything about waiting time otherwise I wouldn’t of ordered food

If you want fast food cooked right in front of you then this is the place. Great variety of pizzas, burgers, wraps, kebabs etc. Afghan cuisine. Quick service, apart from delivery as that takes far too long for some reason hence why we only ever go in to order. Staff are always friendly and service is great. Never had any issues. A good fast food kebab and pizza joint. Nothing more and nothing less.

We got food from here for a takeaway as it come highly recommended by friends and family. Oh my did it exceed the expectations. The pizzas are amongst the best I’ve ever had from a kebab house and the chicken wrap is divine. This place is the the best kebab house I’ve visited ever bar non. If you know any better let me know.

Would not recommend staff are rude on the phone, wait atleast 2 hours for food every time, never want to go in because staff are pervy will not be using again

Ordered food , all cold , salty ! Avoid or regret . It was used to be good quality but not anymore . Food was meant to be delivered in 30 minutes but took instead 90 minutes .

I ordered a meal for me and my family and recieved a horrible meal food all cold 20.00 later i called them up asking for them to exchange my meal as it was all stone cold.. got told to f*** off and loads of horrible and abrupt attiude of members off staff. I will.never again order from.these due to this incident

Pretty standard fare here. Only time I ever fancy a kebab is late night after a few drinks so lots of choice on the menu the chicken was nice.

Great place always busy I recommend the mixed kebab good enough for two Particularly like that the salad and sauce are separate so you have exactly what you want Great food always fresh

I have driven past this shop many times and noted it is always busy, so I ring my order in and get a very accurate collection time. The shop is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. This is now our fast food takeaway of choice.

Ordered from here a couple of times now both times food has been missing, waited 2 and a half hours. When the food finally arrived was missing a kebab, rang back and said it would be 5 minutes. Waited 20 minutes rang back and was told that the driver has gone home and it was my fault awful service

disgusting. kids meals were cold and dry.forgot to bring pizza we ordered. absolutely rotten. service terrible. Couldn't understand me when I complained they said. was very rude.

Nice small business, always good quality. No issues with and after :) food. Wide range of meal, pizzas and drinks. Recommended!

Was looking for an authentic alternative to Domino's, Pizza Hut and the like. Not exactly Italian, the Oldham Star nonetheless had good reviews, so that's where I went tonight. Opting for the MeatEater I was certainly not disappointed. Plenty of the meaty stuff, nice sauce and nothing underdone or excessive. Nice spice from the fresh green chillies gave just the right amount of heat. Overall, most delicious I'm every way and will definitely go again next time I stay in Oldham. Note: cash only. No cards. But there's a cash point right across the dual carriageway at the service station.

dont get upset if you have to wait, as Oldham star is well known in the area. for its high-quality food and also the hygiene

We found this almost opposite our Hotel for the night. 24/7 Hotel. Nice, reasonable, friendly and tasty. we even chatted to some of the Locals in there. My Fiancee found the pizza a bit hot and spicy, but not unbearable. I loved it all, thank you, a nice late night treat

Hubby has been raving on about this place lately- I'm not a huge fan of take away/fast food but the food from this place was amazing!

I literally travel every two weeks 6 miles in the car for one of their mixed kebabs! these guys are brill deffo recommend

I've been to Oldham Star five times and every time my kebab has been perfect. The staff treat customers well and I won't be going anywhere else for my kebab fix.

Fast friendly service with good hot and freshly mate food.. delicious with a choice of salads to meet the customers needs Would use again if we were in oldham

Because I work out and about on the roads I come here frequently and everytime is spot on. The kebabs are lovely but the chicken burgers are something else. The place is absolutely immaculate and clean.

While staying nearby I visited for a bite to eat. The food was great and didn't appear greasy as found in some takeaways!The salad was fresh and everywhere looked clean and well looked after.

Poped in hear for something to eat as a take out and the food was very fresh. Good value for money .

We go to Oldham star quite a lot more than we should do .We always have the mixed special kebab not on the nanny bread as it's to filling .The amount of meat you get is amazing they don't scrimp on potion sizes .The roasted onions that come with them are gorgeous we glad we gave this a go we haven't stopped ordering since .Premises are immaculate aswell .Tip if your hungry and ordering it its generally a hour till delivery but we don't mind as it's always worth the wait .

Went here with a friend and I have to say the food is really good and tasty, freshly made right in front of you in a open kitchen, just what we needed after a day of shopping thank you will be back, you got to try this place out!

Chicken biryani was really nices need add more spice next tym to make it extra hot 4rm now on going to order form there :)..

good quality food, brill staff & you can see everything that is being cooked which i like. bit more pricey than other places but the quality of the food is the reason for that, but reasonable prices.

The kebabs here are so good we came all the way from Spain to get one! Staff really friendly and portion sizes are huge. Worth a visit

We've rang a few times asking if they have any chicken donner but it's that good it's all gone,Today was a snow day so no school so after a day of sledging we managed to place an order for the chicken donner which was just needed.Freshly cooked and good portions we ordered salad and sauce separate which were huge portions (too big to be honest)Will be ordering again

We ate here several nights, staying in the 247 hotel over the road in Oldham. We loved the garlic bread pizza with mushrooms and cheese, very fresh. The mixed kebab was very good and a very large portion enough for 2 people, They also do delivery to the hotel, lol if you are feeling lazy.

Food quality is consistantly high , service is great , always hot. Served with a varied salad and their sauces with pickeled chilli are a must try as is their Kabeda.Orders have always been correct and on time. I have NEVER had a bad meal from them and I recommend them,

Went at around 3pm as suddenly found "doner moment", it was quite busy then and the doner kebab in man was very tasty with plenty of fresh salad and a suitably hot chilli sauce. Place looked clean and tidy and staff pleasant, will go again and recomend

I always have the chicken wrap meal the chicken is delicious in a yummy batter only downfall is sometimes it's abit chewy I love eating from here especially after a night out food always hits the spot

I recently baught a "fresh" chicken sandwitch meal from oldham star. It was undercooked and has given me food poisoning. I feel feverish and cant stop going to the toilet, it has put me off soo bad that when ever i think of the burger i feel like puking. I have taken time off from work to recover but the experience has embedded a mark on me which i will truly never forget. Stay away from this desease and save yourself from the pain i am going through right now!!

Worth travelling To..Best Kebab shop within 10 miles radius !Kobedah on Nan and Chick Fillet Burgers are a MUST TRY.Even the Chicken Doner and Pizza are delicious ...and i am not normally a fan of themThe staff are awesome and even when its busy they whip through the order.Price-wise its HARD to beat for the quality ...and all made freshly in front of you.Outside of Rushmore, there is none to beat this place ...Strongly recommend
