Old Lode Lane Fish Bar in Solihull

Food here is always fresh and tasty , we've been using this place for the last 20 years, never had a bad meal yet .

I went in to the shop - it was empty - I was then surrounding by young people with masks with no idea of social distancing - all the people serving needed to do was ask them to stand outside and shout their orders through. When challenged I was told that they couldn't do anything about it - where have these people been for the last few months. If you are over the age of 50 or have any concerns about catching the virus and passing it on then do not visit this place.

Me and my boyfriend came here at 2:10 to get some chips but they closed at 2. The man who works here gave us the two bags of chips that he had in his hands (I assume they were for him) free of charge. Lovely staff and gorgeous food, will definitely be coming back !

Clean and immaculate shop.Food excellent quality and quantity Staff good.Well recommended.Prices in keeping with other establishments and certainly not overpriced.

The best chip shop around that area,I don’t live around there but when I visit once a fortnight I always go there ,tried a few others but this is the best ,lovely staff too .

Our regular and we visit once a week.A very busy chip shop selling decent portions and pretty tasty. Staff are friendly.Very clean and competitively priced.

The shop is situated on a slip road to several shops, so easy parking. Very clean and bright. The staff friendly and efficient. They sell the full range of pies burgers etc. Personally I am cod and chips person. Can honestly say I have not had a bad meal from here.
