Rip off. Well overpriced for cheap and nasty dog meat quality food. Tiny portion, won't be back there in a hurry. Guy serving didn't know what day it was, took my order then forgot what I'd ordered.

2 ham and tomato rolls £6.40 .seriously. avoid unless you want to be ripped off. won't be back .plenty other reasonably priced snack vans in this area

Smashing, friendly service and a big thank you to the fellas behind the counter. The full Scottish breakfast was hot, plentiful and tasty. At £16 for two breakfasts, toast and two teas, great value too. Thank you for looking after us😊

Won't be back.. Roll and sausage with onion was mediocre as far as food goes, I have had much worse. But £3.20, really! It's a shack in a car park, not the Ritz! There are numerous snack bars, which I will review shortly providing much better for a fraction the cost. Try £1.80 , lovely roll and sausage fixed site snackbar Melford Road Bellshill.

I've used this cafe for over 10 years and after today I won't be back. I ordered as I have done lots of times in the past steak and onions on toast, I asked for it as a toasties, with cheese this time. The lovely girl serving me happily obliged and proceeded to put my order through. After the order was placed and in the kitchen the chef guy(quite new) came over and the way he spoke to the server was absolutely atrocious. He was abrupt and almost shouting at the girl saying we don't do that, next time anyone asks for it tell them we can't, This was because when selecting steak as an option it didn't have a charge and the girl pressed to add bacon at a cost of £1.10 onto the toastie, it ended up coming in at 5 for a toasties but she was getting a grilling saying it would be more than that for steak, when steak and onion rolls are £3.10 But to blame the girl for doing exactly as she was asked to by a customer is absolutely shocking

Although they make very good toasted sandwiches and coffee this shouldn't really be called a cafe because the seating is limited to one table and three chairs, which are crowded out by people waiting for their takeaways. The Old Inns Cafe website is misleading because it says it was once a small cabin but is now a large premises, and on the basis of that description we arranged for it to be our lunchtime stop on a long journey. Unfortunately, it was raining and because there wasn't enough room for even the four of us to sit in we had to eat our lunch in the car. Not much of a break from driving and very disappointing as there's nowhere else close by. Maybe in summer it's better as there seems to be room on a deck for outdoor seating, but that's no good in the winter months. A warning on the website about limited seating would save others having the same misunderstanding.

We popped in on way home to get-away drink and allow my 9 year foster daughter to use the toilet. As for the drink I had a hit chocolate that I transferred into a thermal mug for later. We couldn't use the toilet. A rather grumpy lady said they were shut! Apparently, as the place was shutting soon the toilets were now closed, even for child!. Fortunately we were sorted at the nearby garage. As for the hot chocolate it proved to be barely warm. So poor service, poor quality drink and and overall unpleasant experience

Been here a couple of times and always been happy with what we’ve ordered. It’s a busy place so best to phone your order in.

Staff were ignorant. Couldn't even look at you let alone speak. Container of food was just thrown down on counter without any pleasantries. Food was not good but it was hot. No soap in toilet. Tables outside were dirty. Not a very nice place at all.

Over cooked food lack of customer service staff look as if they can’t be bothered excellent locating but no hgv parking even though says services on motorway 😣 great potential under right ownership/staff

Food makers wore their masks under their noses or their chins and dealt with sandwiches etc with bare hands. Black Americano came with milk and chocolate topping! Just not a pleasant place.

Brilliant service ,love this wee Scottish business, I hope continues sells Scottish products and continues to qsk yir customers a choice of Scottish or British will continue to go everymorning fir ma bac egg roll and lunch fir work 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Visited here this afternoon and will be the last, waited half an hour in que then they forgot to give tea so another 5 mins on that ,either needs more staff or better management

Two of us went in for a quick visit. We were starving hungry. All we wanted was a coffee and burger. Got the burgers fairly quickly but for gods sake give the girls a push. Never known staff to be so slow, felt like leaping over the counter and doing my own coffee. After getting my burgers I waited at least 15 min to get my coffee.

I ordered food from the restaurant via just eat for a delivery, told 45 mins, then 1hr 15 and then eventually called 3 times and told food had left 35 mins ago. Food arrived 2hr 10 minutes and was soggy and cold, Called to complain and told “who cares and hung up on” I’ve been using that/Milano and Milano express for years, and thought it may be a blip, so I went on today to order via Just eat and the restaurant CANCELLED my order... clearly doesn’t want my business anymore... well I 100% will not set foot in any of his restaurants ever again and neither will my family or friends...... that’s a fact...

Still same rude staff, slow service and incorrect orders. After three visits over 6 months I'm convinced they have no clue. Food is below average and reheated . Avoid .

Really not sure what’s gone wrong here. I’ve been coming here for years and never had any issues. Past few months I’ve been on the end of too many mistakes with the orders. A lack of any responsibility when things are wrong - no apologies. Today’s mistake... ordered a large latte with no sugar. Guess what it came with sugar! Think that’s me finished here. Shame really as when they are on their game, the food is very good.

Fantastic food banging macaroni cheese and carbonara quick service and the rolls are the best 👌🏽👌🏽

The service and ordering system in this take out cafe is terrible. It’s a very busy place... hangover central I call it on Saturday and Sunday mornings (a glass cabinet of over the counter tablets/products are on full view for your convenience if you need to buy them whilst picking up your hangover remedy).If you order more than one thing, be prepared wait, and wait, and wait to get it in stages. Nothing gets cooked or made and the order completed in one go... today the main ‘cook/chef’ spent too much time on his mobile phone rather than managing his work station. The staff try there hardest, but the place is just disorganised chaos. The rolls aren’t the best - in fact chewy (but not in a good way, I would say on its way to being stale) and depending on how long you wait for your complete order, depends on whether your food is hot or cold. If you ask for a bacon roll, it’s smoked, only 2 small slices (mine was cold)The square sausage is pretty tasteless, but you do get a fair chunk of it.The black coffee is weak as! Just Terrible!Safe to say it wasn’t a pleasant visit. Shame really. It could be much better!

Traveling up to Dundee one Sunday morning, and after skipping on breakfast, thought I would grab something at first chance rather than wait until in Dundee.Passing by Cumbernauld, thought I would grab something in the Old Inns Cafe.Small cafe that for a Sunday morning was packed.Ordered a bacon roll and a latte, which was freshly prepared in no time, though felt was maybe a tad on the pricy side.Still better value than you will find in a petrol station/service station, but that is about it.

Was bloody lovely and cheap as chips. Would definitely revisit the staff were friendly and very helpful

Called in today for the first and last time. Paid £4.50 for a bacon and tomato sandwich and a small latte.Bread was cheap quality, stick to your teeth, claggy bread. Margarine was a small step up from lard. Tomato was cold uncooked tomato straight from the fridge. Obvious that no attempt was made to cook it at all. It had been nowhere near a pan. I've never had to ask anywhere to cook my tomato before it so this surprised me.It made my very undercooked bacon cold before I had a chance to eat it. If bacon had been cooked properly I think it would have been ok. Quality looked ok.Total waste of money. I ended up throwing it away.Latte? Not as good as McDonald's. Come on ... I wasn't expecting Starbucks but could have been better.If I hadn't been on my way to an appointment I would have gone back and complained. Will never go back.Never normally complain about anything but feel cheated out of my money.

Food was good, fresh and fairly reasonably priced for what we got. A good bit to choose from but for the love of god get more staff on. Visited today on the way back from ayr and it was a shambles. People queuing everywhere, some for their food order, some still to place and pay for their order and some for the single toilet in the place. Everyone mingled together in the tiny shop front having to ask each other "are you in the queue?" And "the queue for what?" as staff weren't exactly forthcoming with the info. To people taking orders and a couple more making them in the back. Order itself took ages to come and though was fresh and actually really nice the whole wait and confusion before receiving it let the place down.
