Food was lovely staff was rude we had 7 drinks all was flat so i pick up the tray and walked up and seen the manager who then told me to take them to the bar instead of taking them off me she was very abrupt the bar man said he would make fresh these where also flat when he brought them over to us we said they was still flat we was told there is nothing wrong with them and then said if u got a problem im getting my manger who came over with an attitude problem and offered us a refund on the drinks all in all the staff are not friendly at all and hygiene needs to be desperately looked at as staff was taking out food with hair not tied back and picking up glasses from the rim instead of using a tray then on there phones then proceeding to carry food out also there was one guy wearing blue gloves on top of white heat protective cloves who was clearly a food handler in the kitchen handing out knives and forks thats a big no no in my opinion

Took my daughter after a cinema date we hadn't booked just chanced it for a quick bite .. we were greeted by a guy as we walked in who was lovely took us to a table near where my daughter could play and explained how to order and about the carvery, we ordered off the main menu the food was lovely, and hot!! Everything was scrumptious and I had no complaints, the place is very nicely done out and has a lovely atmosphere.. I would return and it was a lovely end to a lovely night thank you x

everything was amazing today, we had a problem with one of the brownies but the server Ant was so nice and replaced it for us

We always choose Old Hall Farm for any occasion. Last night was no exception. A Mother’s Day meal. It was extremely busy with 3 party’s going on and had run out of carvery’s with the rush but the menu choices were all amazing and came perfectly.

Lovely food with polite , helpful and friendly staff

This was our first time at this pub restaurant, we ordered our food from the table but went up to the bar to get drinks. The two staff behind the bar were very unfriendly there was an unorganised queue and the tills kept logging staff out inbetween transactions this was not explained to customers I just heard the staff complaining to each other. I waited 20 minutes to be served two glasses of Pepsi,with many customers unhappy of the length of time it took to be served. The only positive was it was dog friendly with treats water bowls and soft blankets. We both ordered a carvery and the food was dried up and poor quality.

Always a great experience here, we always come for the carvery and I can't fault it! They even have pork scratchings on offer which I haven't seen much before at any other carvery! Atmosphere is great, pub itself is nice and clean and well presented and staff are lovely and friendly!

I came in Friday night, which was booked for 30 people. I didn't know how many of us was having the carvery or food of menu. I myself had a carvery and few others. When we went up for it there was hardly anything there. The poor lad serving was trying his hardest to fill it up. We waited about 15 minutes to be served. Even a lady in another party needed a chair to sit down. Sorry but in my opinion, if you new these booking where in why was the carvery not stocked ready. Very disappointed. One of my guests waited 30 minutes for his carvery as you had took everything off, which was cold. I understand you get busy as I have been in your shoes myself I get it. But not to be in this mess. It's definitely not acceptable. No one offered me or some of my guests a refund. Which I think should of been offered. When I booked I did tell the man it was for a birthday party. When someone else rang me I couldn't hear what she was saying. So I just agreed because they all ready new. When I arrived I was very disappointed with my seating area as my family and friends where all split up. Very disappointed 😔

Staff were really friendly and helpful and even came to tell us my husbands main was ready so I could go get my carvery. Food was lovely over all great experience

Customer service was excellent. We all had the carvery and the server advised us he was just about to bring out some fresh veg and Yorkshire pudding if we were happy to wait 5 minutes. He even popped over to let us know when they were ready.

Absolutely appalling service and food this evening. We took our refund and left. Ordered a carvery and the meat on offer was absolutely pitiful. Had clearly been out under the lights for hours. The rude young man carving was hacking at the turkey and when I asked for fresh turkey the response I got was "it's better than nothing". What i was given was scraps and shreads of turkey that you would give a dog not a paying customer. He was rude and refused to offer fresh meat. The vegetables didn't look too great either. He then shouted over the bar staff about what we said and they too shouted back across the restaurant. Not very professional at all and incredibly poor customer service. Have been going to this pub for several years but will definitely not be going again. Took our money elsewhere!!!!! Would not recommend AT ALL !!

We arrived and choose a table in the conservatory after sitting down we realised the table was dirty, so we moved inside onto another table which again was dirty , luckily i had some antibacterial wipes in my bag so i cleaned it my self as i have zero immunity due to my cancer treatment and have to be very careful. Even the menus were sticky. I tried to order online but some of the things we wanted to order weren't available to order I asked the waiter who said give it 5 to 10 minutes and it will be back on, it didn't come on so i ended up ordering at the bar. The food came it was piping hot and delicious. Looking round the restaurant we felt it needed a good clean, dirty skirting boards dusty ledges, etc. Don't think we will be rushing back next time we are at cheshire oaks

Ran out of beer, sticky floors and tables, no atmosphere. Barman didn't know when they would get more ale.

Sorry but this is the worst food ever. Visited as not so hungry so didn’t go to nearby restaurants ads did not want a full meal. Ordered prawn cocktail ok but 4 prawns & lettuce with bread was ok. Loaded fries with pulled pork absolutely disgusting cannot believe in this day & age of healthy eating they serve this food.

Booked a table which was reserved for us,but we were on the apex of a thoroughfare with kids nudging our chairs as they ran past. I wanted to enjoy my meal but staff just laughed as kids ran rampage around restaurant

Carvery cold hard dried out roast potatoes wafer thin meat 2 slices 2inch by 1 inch never seen someone carve meat so thinly I dared asked for more & was informed that’s the amount we are to give ! Shame on you will not be going there again I have never been served such a tiny amount of meat my 3 year old granddaughter would eat more than that ! Give it a miss take your hard earned cash elsewhere !

We got in a bit late for the carvery ( around 7pm ) & the choice of meat was limited. There weren't any roast potatoes either BUT that's not normally an issue. Dessert was the best 😋 Good service, reasonable prices, easy to park. Ideal for Cheshire Oaks.

My husband and I ordered the carvery which was delicious. Served by Aaron who was friendly, chatty and very polite. An asset to you. However, one hour later our grandaughter is still waiting for her cowboy burger. Despite chasing twice we are now chasing it again. Our meal has been finished ages ago. Not acceptable when you come out as a family. No apology, nothing

Unfortunately the food was very poor, 3 carveries, 1 chicken dippers and one veggie option . After a 35 min wait for 2 of the meals , the leek and potato pie was simply inedible . The only reason I did not complain at the time was because my grandchildren recommended and didn’t want to upset them . Found out later they were not impressed with the carvery and did not want to upset me either . Personally I would never go to this place again

We'd booked a table for 14 people weeks ago for my 40th birthday. When we arrived the carvery looked measly and only beef available, no other meats. We were told there was 1/2 hr wait on the food, which was fine but part of our group had finished their food before the other half of the group had even received their meals and we all ordered at the same time! I had the Hunters chicken and the onion rings and chicken were over cooked and the chips were scraps, hardly any potato. My husband had the ribs and chicken platter and was very disapointed with the size of it. Definately not worth the £23!! We have been coming to Old Hall Farm for 10 years and have never known the food to be so poor, very dissapointed. Staff were friendly and polite just a shame about everything else.

We went to the Old Farm for my granddaughters 1st birthday and it wasn't great then .tried it again today 8 years later .not much has changed..it was very cold in there, the food was big standard which took almost 45 mins to appear..kids were starving..the pub wasn't that full and I heard someone ask if there was a long waiting time for food and the bar staff said no...I wouldn't like to be in there if there was a longer waiting time . Staff were nice but obviously over worked....won't be going again if nothing has changed in 8 years

On arrival we were told all grills were off. This was supposed to be the steak special offer evening. Our plates were cleared away & we were deciding on which dessert to order, only to be told the kitchen had closed. So we ordered another drink to then be told they were calling last orders & they were closing at 9pm. Very disappointed as we are a group from friends who meet up from Nantwich & Wallasey & catch up but this was limited to 2 hours on this occasion.

Walked in waited by the door with 4 staff at the bar and took around a minute or two for someone to acknowledge we were there. Despite having children we weren’t given a children’s menu so had to ask, which is fine. The carvery wasn’t the best, all the food tasted like it had been standing a while, apart from the cauliflower cheese which was just made. Roast potatoes were hard and dry, no mint sauce. felt quite rushed as a staff member kept coming round looking to see if we finished several times! I usually find you’ll get someone over to ask how your food is once it’s served but was none of that, just someone peering their head over several times which made me feel uncomfortable. We also asked for the children’s food to come out with the starters but this didn’t happen either. Been twice before during lunch hours and found food and service a lot better Probably wouldn’t come back after this visit

Visited to try the new menu 😋 had the hotdog which was delicious. Few cheeky sides of mac and cheese 🧀. Great service despite it being super busy. Thanks to kieran who served me, super polite and helpful and thanks to the yound lady in the restaurant area chatty and friendly 😊

Food wasn't warm, or enjoyable. Tables too close to one another, not enough room. Won't be returning.

Came on a Sunday. Warm welcome and a table was cleared for us very quickly. Ordering food was told only beef and gammon left on the carvery at 3pm! Went for chicken and mushroom pie. Waited 45 mins for food to arrive and it wasn't actually that busy. Very disappointing. Pie was all pastry. I counted 3 slices of mushroom and hardly any chicken. Sons sweet potato fries were black! Overcooked, although he liked them! Shame as staff were very nice and friendly and the place was warm and cosy. Only 1 lad (lovely lad) on bar doing drinks and taking food orders, rushed off his feet the poor thing!

Quite quite on a weeknight.We got serverd pretty quick.Good choice on the gluten free.The staff were friendly and helpful.Plenty of parking and the food was nice.

When arrived no staff to be seen none on bar no front of house service staff for awhile. When going for carvery had to go looking for the staff in the back kitchen as none apart from the lad serving on the bar alone,guess all hiding in the back lol ,and did wait awhile, Food really was not good at all ,vegetables hard roast potatoes hard in centre and a strange rubber texture on outside wasn't pleasant at all.the meat huge let down all cold and old guess not rotating and putting fresh out regularly.had to ask staff to remove plates from the meal as they was going to give desserts even tho no room on the table.extremely loud surroundings,in general food was extremely poor definitely won't be back, has gone hill not the lovely old hall farm it use to be

Amazing service as always. Last night we were a massive group, who came in for 6pm. Even though the kitchen shut at 7pm due to staff training. All our food was anazing as always, & the kitchen staff had no issues enabling us to order pudding after 7pm. The kitchen staff deserve a massive thank you for catering to us all. Usually they don't get around of applause, but they 100000000% deserve it

Absolutely fantastic experience! Went for my mother's birthday and just before we were about to order there was a power cut and rather than asking us to leave the manageress (and the rest of the staff) brought lovely battery candles over to our tables and told us to help ourselves to the carvery as it would start to cool so would have to be thrown away. The staff were so helpful and friendly and turned what could have been a disaster into a great birthday celebration. We will definitely be back !

Came in on the off chance on a Sunday, we didn't book got a table basically straight away. Staff was lovely. Had a starter to share, then a main which one was the carvery, had the small plate and it was enough for me. Then shared a dessert 🍨 it was all delicious. We will be back again!

I recently indulged in the best roast dinner I've had in ages at a delightful carvery where the star of the show was none other than Frankie, the charming and attentive young man known as the "Carvery Prince." From the moment I walked in, Frankie greeted me with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm that made me feel right at home. The roast was cooked to perfection—succulent meat, crispy Yorkshire puddings, and an array of fresh, flavorful vegetables that were complemented by a stunning gravy. The whole experience was elevated by Frankie's impeccable service, as he made recommendations with a personal touch and ensured every detail met my satisfaction.

The only thing that was good was the nachos. The drinks are small and some of the food is still missing.

Following a busy day at Cheshire Oaks we called in here for a couple of drinks and a well deserved break. This is a very well presented pub with some good outside areas. The carvery is very popular and the food portion sizes for the other choices are big!

This used to be one of our favourite places to eat. I will very much consider ever going here again. We came in between Christmas and new year and numerous times prior. The new manager needs to get a grip on things! This used to be such a warm a friendly environment to come and dine in. Now you can tell that the team are visibly unhappy. I would love to say this to the new manager but haven’t had the chance of seeing them yet.

Ww arrived ro a friendly welcome we had pre booked so was shown to our table. We ordered at the bar which was very easy. The food arrived and was amazing. This was our second visit travelling 45mins to get to you as the first meal we had was so good and this was nothing short of outle first experience. Food was prepared and cooked lovely kids enjoyed and desserts went down a treat.

Came for a team lunch on a weekday and obviously others were doing the same so was quite busy particularly for the carvery. In spite of this all our food arrived as was ordered, was hit and fresh. Service at the bar was also fast. Would recommend and will return again soon

TERRIBLE, waited over 5 minutes to be welcomed as there was only 12 people in the restaurant not a good start ,went up to the bar again waited over 5 minutes as there was no-one serving then told no coke lemonade soft drinks ect as no deliveries ordered food , had to choice again as not available ,ordered fish and chips inedible batter hard ,fish poor tried,desert apple crumble and ice cream again very poor it would be better not to open if they cannot serve food that,s on the menu really need to up their game willnot be going back and definitely will not recomend to family and friends

Easy to book the table and time no issue at all upon our visit was greeted at the door nice touch. Shown to our table and asked if we had any food intolerance. Ordered food and drinks was informed when to go get the carvery due to other mains coming to the table so we all could eat together. Start to finish no problem and no issue lovely meal

It was boxing day 3.00 p.m. We had a table booked for 13 people and had previously provided the pub with a detailed list of what everyone wanted for their starter, main meal and dessert. The food overall as ok, although 4 of us had breaded mushrooms with garlic dip and only one of us got their dip! We waited 20 mins for the other 3 to be served. The service was terrible, the staff tried their best but the place has a new manager, who has cut staffing levels back. Only 4 servers operating at such a busy time . We were there nearly an hour before our starters came and then it was just one new lad who was only capable of carrying to meals at a time, so it took several longish trips back and forth from the kitchen for him to finally serve all the starters. Absolute shambles. Despite us giving them a clear list of our requirements beforehand some people were missed off and others were served the wrong meals. Worst Boxing Day meal we have had there, and we have been going there many years This new manager is hopeless, most of the staff (who we know very well) are fed up with her way of treating them. She never comes out front of house to talk to customers, to ask if everything is ok with our meals, etc. This place is going to loose lots of loyal customers, not to mention many loyal and lovely staff members. Such a crying shame

We went there for my partner's 70th birthday .NEVER AGAIN ,he ordered fish and chips ,fish was mostly batter which was quite hard ,apple crumble ( his favourite ) was BLAND not taste or flavour to it ,NOT A VERY NICE BIRTHDAY MEAL . NO coke ,NO lemonade , not good if your are driving so had to make do with nothing as dont drink hot drinks . Even the mixed grill was not available .NOT GOOD ENOUGH ,We will not be back in a hurry ,or even recommend to family or friends . Things need to change QUICKLY

Food was not so great. Chicken wings were dry/vercooked, festive burger was not so great and not very tasty at all. Best thing was the kids fish fingers!

Carvery is always superb. Nice that they announce when non-carvery dishes are about to be served, so we can all eat together if someone doesn't opt for the carvery.

A great place to go for a superb meal and atmosphere. A special heads up for KIRSTY, whose service and pleasant attitude made it a special evening for us.

We went to Old Hall Farm for our Works Christmas Party on 17th Dec for the 3 Course Festive Menu. We were looked after by Kirsty who did a fantastic job of looking after us all making sure that everything was served as was requested and on time. We had a lovely meal, Starters were lovely, The Carvery was great - 3 choices of Meat plus plenty of Vegetables, Potatoes and Various Condiments. After managing to finish such a large amount of food - we moved onto Dessert and Banoffee Tart, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Lemon Tart all served with a good helping of Vanilla Ice Cream. It was one of the Best Xmas works lunches we have been on and i couldnt fault the food or the service. Thank you for the all staff but especially Kirsty for looking after us. A Happy Xmas Team x

Carvery was freezing cold, roast potatoes were rock hard, even the gravy was cold. No excuse as the place was full and a queue for the carvery, so turnover in the food should have meant it was hot. Will not be visiting again in a hurry.

All of the staff ensured that the gluten free person in our party was safely served. All the food was served quickly and hot. The drinks were also served in a timely manner. The carvery was lovely too.

We were a party of 4 and we each chose the carvery. We were very pleased we did ad Aaron who served the carvery was very welcoming and is a credit to the company. Nothing was too much trouble and he made us feel very welcome and very relaxed. Thank you, we will be back as the carvery was lovely and good value for money.

A little pricey but food was great and service was fantastic

A most enjoyable experience. It was my first time at this place and i definitely will be going back. There is plenty of parking spaces, the service was quick and my meal was lovely. The staff are very helpful and polite. A very warm welcome feeling.

Good food, great service. Comfortable and nice atmosphere, but coffee machine not working so only had instant coffee (no thanks). Good value for money.

Not a good experience. I was emailed a discount voucher but was not allowed to use it. Apparently you cannot use a voucher when eating with big groups, despite the fact that I was only ordering for 2 people and was placing the order at the bar myself!!

Brilliant place to visit . Tina was so happy to see you as always. Food is always great and team seen to happy at what they do.

Food was lukewarm meat was dried out and very tough especially the beef roast potatoes were awful the only thing that was hot was the gravy my grandson was still hungry so had to order extra chips for him I did inform management he replied he would pass that information onto the head chef ?? Wasn’t the solution I wanted but lesson learned won’t be going again.

My daughter disappointed with her sirlion steak. Quality is awful. The garnishing make you lost your appetite.
