Old Halfway House in Leeds

Worst service ever. I was at the bar with my son and he asked to buy a pint of carling for a disabled lady at our table who couldn't get to the bar. I was told to 'F&ck off' by the bar maid and had my card thown back at me for adding an extra drink to my order. I appreciate they are busy but I'm over 50 years old and have never met such an obnoxious human being in the service industry. I gave the disabled lady my pint then me, my son and his friends walked out never to return.

Myself and my family came here for a family meal to spend some time as a family as I work away for my job and don’t really spend much time with my family. This day was such a disaster. My partner placed a booking for 10. Inc children to the pub around 3 weeks before the day of the booking. A week before I rang up and changed the booking time due to me been told that I had extra work on the Sunday. I was told this would be fine but I may need to wait a little as the pub was fully booked. So on Father’s Day I arrived with my family around 1.15pm to a pub with a empty lounge was greeted and told to take a seat at the tables we had been given placed a drink order. And then at the booked time of 1.30 the orders was taken. So baring in mind I had said I had to be back at work and would of needed to leave by 2.30 at the latest we was told at 1.50 that things was starting to be plated up. By 2.15 she came out and said again we are just playing up the kids food. This food hadn’t been prepped at all. So we asked how much longer the food was going to be as I needed to leave at such time, and was told by the manager we shouldn’t of booked knowing we had to leave. So my dad said ok we all got up drank and left. ( Well I’m sorry love it doesn’t take nearly 1 hour to make, plate up 10 Sunday roast considering that’s all that was on the menu. I’m totally disgusted by the service received and people like this shouldn’t have a pub if they don’t have good people skills. And while these people have the pub I won’t be returning and this is a dam shame knowing I have lived in the area for 39 years and worked in the bar and never not gone into such local. But I’ll never support while the current managers are In there again.

Just been for a Sunday lunch with family. 4 adults and a baby. Food was perfect. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Absolutely fantastic! This is the second time I've been for a Sunday lunch and I'm sure it won't be the last. Cooks and waitress were lovely. Spot on.

One of barmaids ridiculous loud and holding her own ‘show’. Service rubbish and her constant loud voice dominating the whole room. Needs some managing of staff.

Lovely lady behind the bar, very attentive and friendly. Some of the park closed due to social distancing measures but the swings were open, love the painting in the playgroup.

Tuesday is pensioner's day with 25% off the price of food. A bit short staffed but the food is quite good. Good value for money as it is quite inexpensive compared to other places

We held this event here and the staff were very friendly and with the recent refurbishment the place was looking great. They put on a good buffet for us as well. Woulx highly recommend
