Old Bush in Wolverhampton

This used to be our favourite Indian..... but sadly its gone a bit down hill....missing chicken tikka, called the restaurant, they wouldn't redeliver missing item as no driver free, and asked if I could collect it , he literally just left my house, no refund offered just apologised and said will make a note for next time!........ there will not be a next time .....sorry 😐

Love, Love, Love this place... The food is on point!!! Lovely pub with lovely people... The owner and staff are brilliant, Very friendly and welcoming, Customer service has never been an issue... My main orders are chicken wings and fish pakoras, However have also eaten in and all the food we had was delicious... Good portions aswell... I definitely recommend goin here... Lovely outside seating area and also very child friendly...

ordered at 17.15 for delivery asked to collect an hour later as no drivers were available which I did. At 19.35 delivery turned up almost two and half hours later. Told delivery driver I had already fetched it myself and refused delivery. Poor service

we do not receive our order and the lady on the phone was not helpful. app updated delievered at 8pm? yet we was chasing this up at 8.30pm and 8.45pm via phone where our order was to be told its coming? app still stated preparing order over 2 hours after being placed at 7pm. will not be using them again

Lovely experience! Food came hot relatively quickly, nothing spilled or leaked, meat was high-quality fresh, love that you can choose the heat of the curries, really allows us to get to know each curry without the spice taking over the show. Thank you so much, we will definitely be ordering again!

Got served raw chicken and cold food, would not go again but previous visits were OK meals. Not worth the effort

food piping hot and delicious. Just one fault poppadoms ain't crispy because they have been placed on top of hot food.but otherwise no complaints.

Always have a Tikka Wrap when I go to the bush for a pint or two. I asked them to add Fried Onions and it was 10/10. Plus the wings are always bang on! Fantastic food and if you ever get the chance, pop in.

Usually have a mixed grill here for takeout. But I tried the Indo-Chinese mixed noodles and it was really good! UPDATE 15.11.24: Ordered a mixed grill for takeout, was told it would be 10-15 mins so waited in the van. Boss man was kind enough to come outside in the cold to my van to hand me the food. Only took 6 minutes. Very tasty too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Worse food we have had from here biryani was swimming in oil lamb was chewy sauce was not hot liked asked for and both sauces only had half a tub for £5.50 I’d expect a full one and also chips was a third off a little bag again £3.40 I’d expect a lot more

Much underrated Indian food destination, all dishes well presented and exceptionally tasty, better than most of the more established Asian eateries.

I thought the food was the right quality and portion for the price and the service was excellent especially the two ladies working there who were friendly and helpful. Even though it's now a curry pub the place still holds that old pub atmosphere which other places have lost by putting in long plastic tables and a 50 inch TV on every wall. I will definitely go back.

Lamb chops were small and hardly any meat on them. Keema naan - where is the keema within the naan which we paid for. Poppodoms were stale/soft. Chilli chips seemed to be re-cooked. Lamb bhuna contained a lot of salt.

The food and drink in here is amazing. Great bar and grill place. Please go you won't be disappointed.

Beautifully prepared great quality food! We ordered chicken pakora as a side and although fresh and great quality it didn’t have a single bit of seasoning so was more like homemade nuggets BUT very nice. I was just a tad disappointed as i really fancied pakora :) other than that 5*****

This is what I consider to be my local. I typically drink guinness, contrary to the photo posted with this review. The guinness is decent and the bar staff pour it well. The food is very good but I think it's a bit expensive for what you get. Biggest let down is they had a juke box and they've recently gotten rid of it which in my opinion is a big let down.

Was absolutely beautiful! It came hot, full of flavour and the lamb chops were full of meat best lamb chops we have ever had from an Indian restaurant. Would definitely order again.

food arrived hot and was tasty. last time we ordered it was terrible. I took the plunge to try again and pleased i did. very happy with the food. thought it would be cold as he went all round the estate first but was still piping hot.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday. Was so good. Really enjoyed it. Food was brilliant and reasonably priced. Will definitely order from here again.

second time ordering and ordered different curry this time, tasted exactly the same as the last ordered curry, it was ok but expected it to taste different to a basic chicken madras. fish pakora ordered as starter and first visual impressions were good, ie good portion but it turns out that very little fish found in some of the pakora and none at all in others just batter. very disappointed as I thought I had found a decent takeaway on my first experience.

Just in the old bush now, I think laura is the best bar person I've ever come across ever, i asked her for a ' little ' bit of blackcurrant in my Guinness, she listens, she cleans tables, she serves the food, she has the right attitude, she's 👍, I might just try and steal her to work for me, 11/10 on service, just hope my curry is as good, just awaiting.

Nice place, friendly and helpful staff, food quite good, presented well and delivered to table with care, only downside, a bit rowdy on Friday teatime! Overall 4 and a bit stars.

Tikka masala was ok. Not the usual taste. Think it was a sweeter taste . No salad came which Indian food usually has on offer. The rice was nice. Food was hot

Came here with some work friends as one of them recommended this place. Would definitely return, food was lovely and cooked well and hot. Has a chicken madras could do with more spices. Masala chips, egg friend rice and a garlic naan. Good prices, sports on the tvs , parking available. Hidden gem.

Ordered a takeaway so will not comment on atmosphere but I do know my food. This was my first and last time ordering food from this place I ordered two times chicken korma and two times egg fried rice.. I want a full refund it was so sweet with no flavour and I mean no flavour I could not taste anything but mainly sugar.. The chicken was bland not even marinated in yougurt or anything, i could not taste any of the usual ingredients found in a korma like cream, coconut milk, ginger, garlic, chilli powder, gram flour, garam masala, turamic, cassia bark, cardamon, coriander, cashews or almonds, I mean it was bland like sugar desiccated coconut and milk that's it well thats all i could make out and the desiccated coconut from texture only, this korma was sweeter then any desert I've ever eaten and that's no joke it's not funny serving this type of garbage I mean even the rice was full of sugar.

Butter chicken could do with a bit of a kick onion rice lovely.
