missing a large portion of chips and the pie was freezing fish not great not sure we'd order again

Never had any complaints. A large portion of chips will easily do two hungry adults to accompany our fish. Fish a good size and good batter. Always served with a smile 😃

Amazing food, fast service and delivered still hot. We will definitely use offerton fish bar again. Fish was to perfection and just enough salt and vinegar. Thanks guys you’re a credit to the boss!

was great minus the drinks both being sugar free instead of what we ordered wanted a tango got a sugar free fanta ordered an original coke got given coke zero food was amazing just sucks the drinks were wrong

First time ordering and heard good things. Ordered 3x meal deals - one meal missing a drink and another meal missing a side (gravy). Disappointing!

Ive come from ashton under lyne working at kfc on peel centre hear soo mch good review and yes they did deliver food was soo nice and bang on tasty and fresh Wh i didnt like eas when theres a que and people behind me shouting to the fish fryer what to drop as been waiting clearly the locals know how to get their food quicker

Ordered from here before and not had a problem. Tonight the food was cold and the fish had what I can only describe as a bleach taste to it. Really disappointed.

the time kept changing from 17.20 to 17.40 we put our order in just after 16.00. the food as usual from here was excellent it would have been outstanding if it had been hot the order was cold when it arrived. the driverinstead of coming to the front door sat in his car and phoned asking us to come out at the rear of the house. this has been the only time i have had anything bad to say about this establishment and i looks to me as if it was entirley out of there hands.

Order was late, food was cold and drinks are missing, phoned the shop repeatedly with no answer other than answer machine. Always had great service from them until now. Hope it is just a one-off.

This Chippy has Been there since the year DOT, It's part of Hall Streets fabric, Dialstone Lane boys School Would call in @ Lunch time, Chips with fish bits in paper, 🤔👍 I used to go as a school boy, & I'm now retired & still pop in, Even people leaving the pub opposite call in on their way home, need I say More, 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Been coming here for years with no problems but last two orders have been nearly fully cold, the fish wasn't cod as ordered, with items missing. Won't be bothering again will find a new chippy

I purchased Cod & Chips x2 tonight and I have to say they were delightful cooked to perfection I thoughrally enjoyed my meal and would recommend any one to try you will not be disappointed for sure.

Son got chips, fish & a tub of gravy. Came to just under £10, which was a bit much. The portion of chips was reasonable, but the fish was terrible. Dry, very greasy, and had obviously been sat on the hot tray for too long. He didn't end up eating the fish. Portion of gravy was a little bland, especially for the price. Unusual because the delivery always comes hot & fresh. Maybe this was just a bad batch, but the service was quite poor. They stood talking for a good few minutes before coming to serve us. We were the only ones in the shop.

Food was high standard. Batter on fish was perfectly crispy,not to thick and stodgy and fish good quality. Good size portion of chips. The irsh curry was something new and very delicious. Think we have found our new chippy 😀

Used this chippy numerous times but hadnt for a while got 2 normal portions of chips yesterday hardly any there both very sparce and priced £2.60 a portion so not worth it so give it a miss from now on £5.20 for 2 portions which was equivalent to 1 too pricey

Meal deal. Meat & Potatoe pie, chips and Gravy with a can of coke. Meal was really nice especially the chips and the gravy. Served by a friendly member of staff. Can't believe I've not used this chippy before. It'll be my go to chippy from now on. I can feel Friday fish chips and peas coming on for tomorrow 😋

Utter garbage . Wrong order delivered and they could be bothered sorting it out . 0 stars . Never again … disgusting. Staff with attitude. Never apologized and the food wrongly delivered was utterly uneatable and went straight in the bin . Absolutely disgusting food … once bitten twice shy ….

Ordered food for delivery tonight with uber. Fast service and fresh food as always. Thought I'd have to wait as it was a Friday but it came quickly and the staff took notice of my notes which was appreciated as not many places do.

Order was NOT delivered - no food arrived would NEVER order from here again.

Delivery never arrived - no comms to say so - just pointless extensions to the “delivery time” on the app…allegedly “courier at restaurant”…for two hours! Even when the place was closed!!! And when you call them no-one answers. NEVER order from here as they don’t fulfil the order and don’t even tell you they’re not going to - outrageous and shouldn’t pretend to be a good delivery co when they clearly aren’t.

Now I don’t know if it’s the weather or if the heat had got to them the dark haired woman who was working tonight was extremely rude and abrupt! an Uber driver came in to collect an order and he tried to get her attention to be greeted with you will have to wait I’ve got a queue, so he waited patiently and there was only 2 ppl in the shop, whilst she was waiting for chips she was making comments about the guy the the red haired lady who was trying not to laugh, there was absolutely no need to make the man feel uncomfortable which he clearly did as you could see it in his face. After she had prepared his order she just placed it on the counter and said here! In a rude manner, no thank you for waiting or sorry for the wait! I found her customer service skills rude and need to be addressed

Usually enjoy a visit with the lovely friendly staff however on Sunday teatime 7/7/24 the young lady with dark hair in a bun was extremely ignorant to point I felt very awkward and a burden. No hello, please or thank you or a good bye, let alone not even a smile once. The food however was extremely delicious and the fish was cooked fresh as always. Must say as a regular I didn’t feel very welcome on this occasion and it has put me off going in again 😔

Go there for chippy tea for work a couple of times a month. The staff are always friendly and chatty, and everyone I buy for always enjoy their food.

This was an expensive portion of chips and gravy. Ordered meal deal 1 but got no sausage! A bit annoying but the food is good and delivery time.

Great fish and chips! I went here once for a late lunch, was a great piece of fish, large portions of chips and really tasty mushy peas. There’s a little bench area just around the corner from this chipper and I sat there people watching. Was a nice time.

It arrived cold and the person delivering the food couldn’t find us,and when he phoned we couldn’t understand each other.he was polish and couldn’t understand a thing. I’m not happy, this country needs to get a grip it’s a joke. The Chippy owner knows the problem they just want your money.

Been going here for years now, but just recently, every time we get chips, it's the scraps from the bottom, all hard and crunchy. I hate my chips like this, much prefer them chunky and juicy like they used to be. I'll give it one more shot, if no change then I'll be swapping my chippy to another one.

Beware of the hair seems to be a common issue here looking at other people’s reviews. Though to talk about everything I had, I thought that the cheese, and onion pie was well-cooked, and tasty. The mushy peas tasted weird, and were cold, and whilst I ate most of these chips, and they were tasty — one of the chips had a hair on it? Something I noticed immediately, and it seemed to have sunken into the chip itself — the only photos here, and the main reason that I’m writing this bad review as aforementioned — it couldn’t be scraped off either — shame as it would’ve otherwise been three star

Hot and delicious but sitting in oil

We couldn't fault the fish and chips except they were quite cold. Maybe they were wrapped up and left on the side waiting for the delivery man.

Not sure what’s going on with all the bad reviews. Prices are expensive these days but I think this chippy is good value for money. They do great deals, that are not expensive. Other places are a lot more expensive. You get a decent size portion. The food is always hot and freshly cooked. I like the food from here That’s why I’m a repeat customer 😊

Nearly £20 for fish chips and curry twice wouldn't even feed a toddler , and wasn't very nice either , used to be a good chip shop dnt know what happened but I feel robbed.

Best Chippy around, we have never had a bad meal from here! Portions are massive, the fish is gorgeous, everything is always piping hot! Perfect English Chippy which speaks volumes as it’s always busy. Wayne and the girls are so friendly and chatty 10/10

I order a delivery and there saying its a collection, not happy, why would I order a collection from just eat ? I would just go I get it myself
