We didn’t visit until the Sunday afternoon, we both wish we had gone on the Friday and the Saturday after our visit as it’s a lovely friendly pub and spotlessly clean too. The staff and locals made us feel really welcome. Amazing real pub .

First visit to this little quirky pub after the lockdown. The Oddies team had done a great job on the social distancing , floors marked out and table service provided by the attentive and pleasant barman Neil. Great outside area, well maintained with freshly painted furniture and impressive floral arrangements . Pub normally serves Jennings Bitter but currently providing an excellent pint of Timothy Taylor’s while Jennings brewery get up and running again. The Oddies team overseen by the landlady Margo have hit the ground running post pub lockdown. This pub doesn’t normally serve food, is dog friendly (although this is a sign up saying guide dogs only, apparently it’s always been there ) and provides free WiFi. They take card payments but not as you would expect from a small business Amex (although there is a sign indicating Amex accepted ( again always been there !)This pub still has the most friendly staff and locals in the area.

This is possibly the most friendly pub in Cumbria hosted by the wonderful landlady - Margo. Although the Tripadvisor introduction to this establishment states the food availability please note that generally the only food served is on steak pie and chips night one a month on a Thursday evening, however, if you ever get the chance to attend a steak pie night you will be in for the treat of your life! (Booking essential). Great pint of Jennings and usually a second real ale on as well. Free WiFi if a bit on the slow side for fibrous St Bees. Open from 7pm and from 3:30 am on Sunday.

Dropped in for a pint on a Saturday evening. Nice friendly pub, not a vast choice but certainly acceptable. Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday, but so was the rest of St Bees.

Went to the Odd fellows on a Sunday afternoon hoping for food and live music as it had been recommended... but it was very quiet although welcoming... No food or music on offer seems more like the traditional locals venue to get away from the holiday makers .Worth a visit though

Despite reviews and signs to suggest otherwise this pub does not do food. False advertising discuss? Don't go here expecting any food.

The Oddfellows is a I would say an unique pub. The local will always welcome the visitor as soon as they pop their head round the door. Great pint of Jennings to be had and if you are ever fortunate to get to try their steak pie ( only served once a month)! You have been lucky

This homely public house is a home away from home. A cosy drink in a calm yet fun atmosphere! If you can get your hands on a steak pie go for it because they are amazing! Not to mention her chips! Real ale and good beer! The pararamic veiw from the back is breathe taking whole enjoying a glass of wine! Must see sunsets, sea, coast and st.bees head. Land lady is a magnificent lady!! Always smiling, welcoming. There's no limit to what she'll do for you!

Oddfellows is always a pleasure to go to. We had a set order for 20 steak pies and desserts and it never disappoints. Staff are brilliant and the beer is always well kept. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Gracias

Had a bar meal here the evening before starting out on a C2C walk. Although the owner Margret was not scheduled to cook that evening she made an exception in view of the fact that I had contacted her in advance. The food was proper pub grub with homemade pie, mash and veg. The locals were extremely friendly making the overall experience a good one.

The staff at Oddfellows really pulled out all the stops for our group of 13 girls from Scotland, England and Ireland all meeting to celebrate my birthday. My sister had obviously tipped them off as they had the blackboards with special greetings and a card and banners all awaiting us. It was such a special touch. They also arranged for live music and we were blown away when 5 different acts performed a diverse range of music genres for us. The performers were all local and seriously talented (x factor watch out St Bee's has the ones to watch in Sophia and Cameron). they all left us wondering if there's something in the water in this little town. Thank you so much Margaret and all the staff for a spectacular night that we'll cherish and remember forever. You never know we may even rock up again in a year or so. Kirsti xxx

Fantastic local pub run by people who live in West Cumbria, drink and eat here. Margo's steak pie legendary and when an elusive 'famous five' is served it represents superb value. Look out for the music evenings; always a party.

Welcoming and great homecooked food, nothing fancy, just good, tasty wholesome food. We had two Lasagnes and a fish n chips and Scampie enjoyed by all and generous portion sizes. Family and very dog friendly. A lovely atmosphere and character. We would be very happy to return. Thanks

The ultimate burger is worth a go; flavourful and a meat lovers dream. Portions are those of a feeder. From a business point of view, you could take 20% of the volume from each plate and they would still be generous. Can't judge the staff as there was a few lairy Christmas parties in that would suck your soul. They were harassed on the night but remained professional if not warm and welcoming. Will go back based on my first experience, just not at Christmas.
