Oceans Fish Bar in Thurrock

we have tried other local chip shops BUT this is by far the best for chips, always fresh, always friendly staff, always clean, always a queue as very popular. Definatly recommend

Just had possibly the best the fish and chips ever! For a family of 4 we ordered 2 large cod, 2 large chips, nuggets and a battered sausage. I don't think I've ever had a piece of fish so big, The nuggets and sausage were also large, my son actually couldn't finish his portion. Compared to some take outs we've had lately, this smashes them out of the park! Well worth every penny. Definitely our new favourite.

The best fish and chips in Grays. Big portions for the price. Seniors aren't left out, they pay a cheaper price. All tastes catered for. Wouldn't go anywhere else, thanks to Sean and the family.

ordered delivery at 2pm for 5-30 delivery. Phoned again at 6pm and told it would be out to me in 2 mins. I live 5mins away and it turned up at 6-15 minus 2 items!! Fish and chips were lovely but spoilt by the mushy peas and curry sauce not being delivered.Also a large chips , although i was told would be enough for two people was disappointingly barely enough for two small children.

Do not order from this place, placed order and never arrived unable to contact the restaurant but no answer for hours. having to claim back money through PayPal and just eat

They were so helpful delivering to an elderly couple today ! They delivered fantastic fish and chips and cheered them up !!!

Recently got take-out from this establishment, trying their haddock. The portion size was generous - a nice, large and thick piece of fish, which was succulent and fresh tasting. The batter was crisp and light. This place typically provides you with a slice of lemon for using to pep up the taste of your fish, which is a nice touch.

Last friday my wife and I had the BEST cod and chips for ages.Great meal,great portions,great staff,great price.

We are regulars at the Ocean Fish Bar, more or less ever since it first opened. You can ALWAYS guarantee a superb fish and chip meal from here, and generally a good laugh with the staff. Happy New Year to you all, We'll see you in 2019

Thought we’d try some where different. Again portion sizes small not good value for money. The chilli sauce is revolting.

For someone whose partner loves his pie and chips , I love this place as I can get steamed fish and mash! The location is always clean and tidy, good helping sizes and great service. Definitely a thumbs up from me!

well as said before you cant beat this fish and chip for service, speed and quality, we visit here quite a bit and love it, this visit was no exception, we'll be back

So we're back from our travels in the motorhome and just couldn't be bothered to cook anything, so we visited Ocean fish bar for some superb Cod and chips, excellent as ever and quick, so we'll be back

Been using as my regular chippy for a few years since it opened. Friendly staff, food freshly cooked while you wait and very nice. A very welcome addition to our location, now my nearest and the only one I use.

I hadn’t been in here before because I don’t live in the area but I wish I did, the two men who work there were very friendly everywhere looked clean and tidy and I love the decor there were a few tables where you can sit and eat if you choose but I bought a takeaway. The food was freshly cooked and I have to say the chips were the best I have ever seen from a chip shop ,not a single eye or black bit of potato to be seen ,which is very rare because whenever I have bought chips from a shop before I end up throwing half of them away.

You couldn’t ask for a nicer place to get your take away meal, the food is second to none cook fresh to order and you couldn’t ask for more pleasant staff to be served by they know you by name too all I have to do Is make a call and the food is there wait for my collection if you don’t try them then your really missing out !!

Was using regular until just recently gone downhill,if the boss is there good service and nicely cooked food but has employed couple of dimwits serving with headphones playing music whilst the other one serves you talking on his mobile in another language!then just to top it tried to short change me not once but twice!wont be giving him a third chance

We order from Oceans Fish Bar on a regular basis, the best fish and chip shop in Grays, would not get a fish and chip meal any where else.

Excellent value for money and fantastic food. Staff pleasant. Food cooked to order so always fresh and hot.

Not prepared for a busy 6pm Saturday trade. Waited over 20 mins for 2 small Cod to be fried. Ended up with soggy, greasy fish stuck to wet wrapping paper. Would have been better of just with the pale enemic looking chips & buying frozen battered cod from the supermarket, which we will do in future if we ever decide to return.

We had a take out meal for six. The fish was cooked fresh, so had to wait a while but it was well worth the wait. The staff are friendly and they do what they can to help.

They have been open for a year or so now, we have take outs from there at least once week. The have replaced another fish bar that was around the corner, that has now been taken over and is not very good, so Oceans Fish bar is perfect, very quick and very tasty, staff are also very friendly. If Ocean Fish Bar staff read this review, I'm the biker with the camper, keep up the good work
