Ocean World Fish & Chips in Watford

Got my fish and chips home and opened up the box only to release a disgusting smell of absolutely rotten fish. Had to disinfect the kitchen. Avoid

I ordered via just eat and twice in a row did not get the full order called the restaurant they did not care did nothing to correct the mistake plenty of other places to get mediocre fish and chips

I ordered a veggie burger and chips and had a clump of hair in with the chips and single hair in the burger.

After not using this place for 2 years (already left one bad reveiw), I decided to give the place another go. Dissapointed. Ordered 3 lots of fish and chips and a kebab. Now, I live exactly 1 mins walk from this place, so on a warm evening I'd expect the food to still be hot when I got home. The kebab was stone cold, not warm stone cold. Pitta had not seen the grill and it went in the bin. All 3 fish were also disappointing. 2 cod and one haddock were just mushy, and the chips barely cooked. We picked at it a bit as we were hungry but this also went in the bin. I didn't phone to complain this time as the last time I did I was met with a torrent of abuse from the extremely rude owner and I wasnt in the mood, so another bad review from them here. Use the viking fish it has never let me down, a poor decision on my behalf to use this place rather than wait for delivery from else where. I'm not sure how they are still open.

Disgusting food and disgusting customer service! Avoid these 3 star hygiene jokers at all cost! Couldn’t care less about missed items or any sort of customer care! Awful!!!!!

First time ordering through Just Eat with these guys. Had a chicken sheesh kebab x 2/ veggie burger x 1 and chips and a small cod. It was quite pricy compared to what I usually pay but saying that, there was loads of chicken in the kebab and it was really nice. I’d order from here again without a doubt. Thank you.

Of the six items ordered yesterday two were right. One was the wrong Item (curry sauce and not peas), One item never arrived, one item (bread roll) was stale. Chios were a deep brown cooler and had the taste of paprika, Not good when your trying to taste your reformed Scampi. Rand the shop who claimed to have sent everything and that the delivery driver from Deliveroo must have eaten what didn't;t arrive. Refused to do anything about it. For god sake avoid this place.

Have to b a little biased, this is my local so go in regularly and the chips are perfectly cooked and will have sausage which is good in or without batter and the fish sometimes cod or haddock are both cooked to perfection..

Very good quality food and very good value for money. Ordered via a takeaway app and was delivered very quickly. Would definitely recommend and over the last couple of years not had a bad meal from Ocean World.

Made a relatively straightforward order of pies, sausage and chips. Despite the food being available and keeping warm in the food warmer I had to wait over 10 minutes after ordering. In the end I cancelled my order and had my money back. Need to improve on serving food up in good time or the business will suffer. Can't comment on the food as didn't get to taste any!

Our usual place for Shish not available so ordered via divliveroo for lunch as hungry after my son’s Sunday morning football. Have had food from here before which has always been good. Today’s was absolute rubbish. Took over an hour to arrive. As a positive, my son’s cod appeared to be freshly cooked, everything else was obviously reheated from Saturday night. The meat was disgusting, the chips, brown (a few were green) and stale. Very disappointing.

Cooked fresh to order- delicious! Only downside is that they’ve stopped doing deliveries, so I now visit them less cause it’s a hassle to have to go collect

Cold food. Not luke warm but cold. I live about 40 secs walk to take my food home from the shop. When i took it back to get it exchanded the owner said it was my fault the food was cold. Unbelievable. I complained to him a couple if times about it but he would accept it. I ask for my money back and finally got it after he actually called me a c#$t. I rarely use the place after they have messed my order up a few times even when ordering in shop but this is the final score. Outrageous customer service from an extremely rude owner. I must add the rest of the staff are nice people but haven't really got a grasp of communication.

Their Chips are Proper Chips. Great service, very friendly. And possibly the smallest chip shop in the world. Will definitely be back, for the fish I'd wished I'd ordered. It looked great.
