Ocean Wild in Leeds

Called on sat 27/10 round 6.30 got haddock and chips x2, the fish was cooked to order, wow!! beautiful massive thick white fish, chips not at all greasy. Great portion size. Will definately be back. Had these about 2yrs ago and they were poor, very greasy chips all stuck together, glad we tried them again

Randomly tried this than our usual. Nice piece of fish and plenty of chips. Sauces a bit pricey but you get a big quantity of them. Certainly get your moneys worth with the bread rolls. Will certainly be in again!

Friendly staff. Halloumi fries were ok the fish butty wasn’t great soggy batter made the bread fall apart underneath making a mess really.

The staff where nice and friendly. The shop was awfully quiet for a Friday teatime, maybe I should have taken this as a warning. I do not know what they cook in or the temperature used, but the batter takes on way too much grease and flavour of the fat/oil used which I assume is causing the issue.

Nice fish not overly large it was nice and white and chunky. First fish I've had in a while really enjoyed it although I'm a little outdated with prices £5.40 for a regular size fish.

Maybe my standards are too high! Maybe the twice we’ve bought from here was just very unlucky for us. It’s possible! Have to say what we’ve seen and tasted. Blanched chips, seem to need a new rumbler! Bad bits in almost every single chip! Can’t comment on fish. Wouldn’t be fair. Indigestion again too! Never again. Very sorry.

Excellent quality true English Fish and Chips. Family deals offer very good value, and the butties offer an affordable but filling snack. Everything is fresh and cooked in the traditional Yorkshire dripping. If I was showing someone from another country a good example of traditional English fish and chips then it would be this place. Has good sensible opening times as well, which often is a problem with English chippies that seem to run to a 1940s schedule.

Very decent fish and chips. Slightly more expensive than others nearby, however the fish seems bigger too, and with a nice crispy batter. All in all a good experience. The oddity is watching the staff measure the chip portion size in a tub, would have thought that would come quite natural, but I guess they get consistency. Would definitely recommend!

Only had the fish as wasn't hungry enough for a full portion .. Was very nice and fresh, only grumble is it would of been a nice gesture to toss a few free chips on top 😋

Don't sell pies. Don't sell sausage and chips - not much of a chippy in my opinion. And the sign says "open 7 days a week " which is an out and out lie cos they're closed Sundays! !

Food was awesome, staff are really nice. Forgot one of our curry sauces but the food was so good we didn't even care!! Please don't ever stop serving chips in paper!! I swear they taste better.

If you're worried about the batter repeating on you, fear not. I'm usually skeptical of the fish and how "heavy" the batter will rest. Fortunately this place is not one of them. The batter is light and crisp and the fish is meaty and thick.
