Very nice authentic Chinese food

Estuve antes para el almuerzo dim sum, fue muy agradable. Hoy una historia diferente. Pedimos el menú dim sum y lo que yo llamo el menú gweilo, tratando de satisfacer diferentes gustos. Error. Comida por debajo del estándar esperado. Podríamos estar equivocados, pero piensa que si pides fuera del menú tipo gweilo, la comida no está ni de lejos cerca del estándar producido para el menú "chino".

Excellent food and with a group sharing the dishes very reasonable price 😃 Service was also very good.

I can't find a worse restaurant than this one. I ordered a boiled fish. What came out was fish with chili oil and fish bones. I almost died from swallowing it. The waiter's indifference and indifferent service attitude should be the characteristics of this restaurant.

Lovely food and the staff are always so welcoming

Classic 1990s Cantonese dim sum restaurant. Not many of these left. Food is very good. From what I can tell all dim sum is made in house. Prices very reasonable. But it’s very busy at opening times on weekends. Recommend going around 2pm to avoid waiting.

Hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant, authentic dim sum and great flavours of food. Very reasonably priced and always freshly cooked. The salt and pepper ribs are amazing.

Good service. Friendly enough staff. Food was cooked well. The steamed foosh was beautifully cooked but needed more soy. The prawns and chicken dish was excellent. The pork knuckles could taste better and be cooked for longer

The service is normal, the salt and pepper squid noodles are tasteless, the chicken is tough, the salad pork chop is delicious, the stir-fried vegetables are delicious, and the lotus root soup is delicious.

Terrible experience. We had booked the VIP karaoke room and was advised minimum spend of £500 which was okay. But when we arrived the room was messy and a dumping group for chairs and odd boxes and rubbish overspill from the restaurant. Hardly a 'VIP' experience. We ended up tiding the room ourselves. 1. Food was very cold. Especially the platter 2. Food was very salty and tasted like it was reheated and presentation wise the food didn't look appetising. 3. Poor service . We had to go outside to get service and order drinks ourselves and tell them to change our plates etc. Very poor experience and having spent over £800 for a party we didn't feel like it was a good experience not will we be back anytime soon

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Manchester, we love to go there Yum Cha (Dim Sum with Chinese tea). Too famous and the price is reasonable, so it hard find parking space during peak hour.

Lovely setting. Parking was a bit of a problem but it was the 23/12. The food was bland & the platter for two was disappointing. On the first floor but no lift. Would go again just to give the place a chance - I may have gone on an 'off' day

Restaurante Ocean Treasure Este es el segundo año que reservamos nuestra cena de Navidad en el restaurante Ocean Treasure. El año pasado ( 2023 ) fue una muy buena experiencia con el servicio de comidas siendo rápido y los pedidos de bebidas siendo tomados regularmente. La comida era abundante, y el ambiente era agradable. Sin embargo, este año nos sentimos muy decepcionados por la experiencia. Al llegar nos dimos cuenta de que había más mesas apretujadas en el área del bar y el lugar parecía suscrito, pero a pesar del aumento de clientes, solo había un barman en el pequeño bar tratando de hacer malabares con varios pedidos que venían de todas las mesas. Nos encontramos con el resto de nuestra fiesta, y nos habían asignado una mesa en una de las cabinas de la parte trasera del restaurante. Los entrantes llegaron bastante rápido, pero nuestro pedido de bebidas nunca llegó! Después de una media hora, ahora con mucha sed, intentamos pedir bebidas de nuevo (que era un problema en sí mismo, ya que los servidores solo hablan inglés roto y no están familiarizados con el menú de bebidas) y tuvimos que pedir una jarra de agua para la mesa solo para complementar la comida. Finalmente, llegaron las bebidas. Los entrantes se despejaron, pero la mesa no se repuso con cubiertos frescos, por lo que tuvimos que usar los mismos utensilios para cada comida. Una vez más, otra ronda de bebidas tardó unos 30 minutos en llegar. Encontramos que la comida estaba por debajo del estándar que proporcionaron el año pasado, y el servicio de mesa y bebidas era extremadamente pobre. Parece que han reservado en exceso, pero no pudieron entregar en el servicio, necesitan contratar personal del bar! Desafortunadamente, después de esta mala visita, y especialmente el día de Navidad, no recomendamos reservar el día de Navidad aquí y no volveremos a cenar aquí.

Date night last night with my hubby so we booked chinese for a change from a curry. From the lovely warm welcome and a table for 2 we then chose our banquet menu. We were treated like royalty everyone so attentive. Drinks brought very quickly and we chose our Banquet. From Soup. Appetisers duck and pancakes to our Fillet steak in Cantonese and sweet and sour chicken plus the vegetables and rice it waz awesome. The food absolutely gorgeous and very filling. We had a great night and will definitely return. Sumptuous banquet.

The food is okay, but the fried food is surprisingly cold and the portions are smaller than before. The cashier lady at the front desk is extremely pushy and refuses even simple customer rights such as asking for receipts. She also added that she can help her next time. time. No problem, this is absolutely my last visit

Chinese restaurants always keep high-quality food and have good prices.

Food excellent as always, it was very cold where we were sat, they had put extra tables in the reception/bar area because a private function was on in the main room...so it was very draughty from the doors. Atmosphere was very, very noisy again due to the crowded tables and the private function, you couldn't hear yourself think!!

The dim sum is delicious, the service is diligent, and there is also the Dragon and Phoenix Auditorium👍

Been a regular since they have first open. Used to celebrate birthdays or seasonal holidays. And it is still miles better than any Chinese out there whether you go for lunch or dinner. The staff are amazing and don't forget check out the cash and carry downstairs. You'll never need to worry about car parking as it is free and plenty of space.

No hemos estado en un poco. Pero nos visitamos este fin de semana. Dejando una reseña más reciente. Pedimos la comida china más auténtica y dim sum. Estos eran agradables, calientes y salieron muy rápido. Lo cual es un punto positivo. La comida era muy agradable, pero los precios parecen estar bajando pero seguramente subiendo. Lo cual es una pena. En una nota equilibrada, en comparación con muchos establecimientos de alimentos, si la comida es agradable, entonces vale la pena pagar. Nos quedamos un rato. No nos sentimos apresurados y nos sentimos como entrar en coma alimentario después. ¡Siempre positivo! 🤣

Family meal of 14 people for mid autumn festival. Lobster, duck, spicy beef, fried rice, lots of fresh Chinese veggies. Sweet and sour sea bass was a favorite with the English contingent.

Was here for a wedding banquet. Food was a bit disappointing - most dishes are very bland, the meats from the Chinese BBQ platter were dry and chewy, most seafoods taste like nothing, and the desserts are underwhelming. The waiters are friendly, though they kept assuming everyone spoke Cantonese when most of my table didn’t.

The restaurant on the upper floor is decorated in an old-fashioned and traditional style, and the supermarket on the lower floor sells live shellfish. The location is remote, but the parking spaces are few and narrow. Postscript: Beef tendon is sold in supermarket meat stalls. You can try the radish and beef brisket pot😋

The food was okay, the l portions weren't big like the fried squid only had 6 tiny peices, but the taste and texture were okay. The service was decent. The food came very late and alot of things were in Chinese so it would be harder for non Chinese speakers. The dim sums were dry but the rice rolls were good. I wouldn't go there if I had a choice but it isn't the worst

Nightmare . Waited over 2 hours for food. All came out at different times. 18 birthday ruined. Staff too busy. Needed double the staff. And asked for a group booking and eblned up on different tables.

Familiar environment, familiar taste, all food employees are nice, but when I went to the cashier, the attitude of the Asian lady was... rushing away customers.

Food is great...service is great...but needs a refurb. The decor looks like it's trapped in the 2000s. I remember it in its heyday.

Food came out quickly. Hot and delicious. We were meeting a friend which we haven't seen for quite a few years, and she just recovered from cancer. So we stayed there much longer than other usual diners....well over 4 hours! What made it special is this waitress, Pegki (yes, right spelling), made us feel comfortable and not overstayed our welcome, and kept topping our Chinese tea. Ocean Treasure will be our go to restaurant if we are visiting Manchester from now on.

Estábamos visitando a una amiga que no hemos visto desde que se mudó a Manchester, así que mucho para ponerse al día. Estuvimos mucho más tiempo que sus comensales habituales, casi 5 horas, pero no nos apresuraron a salir, de hecho, Pegki (Peggy deletreó diferente) la camarera, nos hizo sentir cómodos para permanecer el tiempo que nos gusta, y siguió cubriendo nuestro té. La próxima vez que visitemos Manchester, ya sea en familia o con amigos, Ocean Treasure será nuestro destino gastronómico. Gracias Pegki.

Estafar, la peor comida china - muy aceitoso, salado sin ningún otro sabor, que hemos tenido y sin habilidades de gestión. Fue la primera vez y nunca más. Aléjate de este lugar.

Absolutely fantastic the food was amazing, if you're ever in and around Oldman and want a fabulous feast at excellent prices then look no further.

Where do I start? We waited 30 mins before getting seated. The staff was unprofessional and the customer service is awful. When we were finally sat down our waitress was so rude and even ignored us when we asked for help which was unacceptable, I expected high standards but this was disappointing. Now the food finally came and let’s start of by saying it tasted like frozen foods that has been heated up and served. Disgusting. Let’s just say the foods were just plain and tasted horrible.

Marvellous food Best Chinese ever.

Been here several times now. Great food and excellent service. Had the lobster, which was done to perfection as was the sea bass.

The dim sum is well made and the dried beef rice noodles are also fried well. The charges are also reasonable, and you can buy a meal at Supermarket after you finish your meal.

Same as last year, there are so many good things to eat and there are so many good things to eat.

First time here. Great staff. Great service. Great food.

Interesting dinner! The restaurant is on an industrial estate but is very large inside and very oriental looking. Atmosphere was nice when we went in, with lots of people eating. Ordered a sharing platter and was surprised at the small portions. Once we had eaten that we decided to order more only to be told that the kitchen was closed, which was surprising given that it was only 8:20 PM and the website says the restaurant is open to midnight. Staff agreed to serve us another course after two of them argued somewhat in front of us and then were quite frosty when we ordered a second drink to go with this second main course. Food itself was good (the soup) poor (the duck, which was dry and overcooked, probably reheated).

Used to really love this place and we would go as often as we could. After an accident a few years back I was using a wheelchair, we rang them and they said they had a lift. When we went it was a really cramped service lift at the back and it came out in the kitchen. It was manic, crammed with chefs and staff. You could barely see anything for the steam. It wasn't an experience I was keen to repeat, so we then switched to having our orders delivered. Steadily we noticed that the prices were getting higher and higher to the point where it just became too much of a luxury. So now we just order from a nice take-away. So unless they have installed a proper lift or a stair lift, if they have, we might go for a special occasion.

It's the best place for yum cha in Great Manchester that has plenty of carparks, there is a Chinese supermarket downstairs where you can go shopping after lunch/dinner. Recommend booking before you go on Saturday or Sunday.

Good place for afternoon lunch nice menu

My partner and myself visited tuesday afternoon the restaurant was a third full and the food and service was spot on.We ordered quarter duck and fillet steak spring rolls in pepper sauce, my partner had king prawns with vegetables while i had special chow mein 4 pints of lager a magners and a glass of white wine, total price £89.

Used residence upstairs back in 2013. Very good staff and unique atmosphere something special.

Lobster with ginger and spring onion, steamed turbot, and the roasts dishes were spot on. These old-time canto restaurants are harder to find now and I'm so pleased this place is still on top of its game.

Good food but not stand out or same standard of dim sum as somewhere like Din Tai Fung - big restaurant , difficult parking when busy and crowded. Still good and place to visit .

Very busy on a Saturday lunch time. Always best to book a table, as people queue on the stairs as soon as it opens. Lovely food, good service.

Really affordable and authentic dim sum

Food was served lukewarm, we asked for pre starters (ribs and wings) these came with the starters, resulting in cooler food, my main appeared to me as warmed up meat, However, I took home left overs and cooked it through, It tasted excellent, so we may have been unlucky on the day.

Large Chinese banquet Hall. Excellent service and accommodations from the staff. Front of house lovely . Lots of Chinese families eating here . A vast menu , with plenty of healthy options , the king prawns were amazing and so were the Ribs. Also huge wine !!

點心味道我個人會覺得比太湖好，炒左兩碟粉一係干炒牛河、二係星米，牛河中規中矩，但個星米就出事啦⋯⋯⋯酸嘅。個種酸味就好似去超市買左淘大系列（黑色包裝）米粉種酸味一樣，雖然落好重味但都冚唔住，可惜。

The food is tasty! However, everything else was disappointing. The waitress was very rude, blunt & unfriendly. The waiter couldn’t count. Some food was cold and the drinks service was appalling. We arrived at 1:40, the lunch menu ended at 2. You’d think that they would take your order in 20 mins. But no. At 2:10 they took our order. Didn’t take a drinks order, we had to compile a list and take it to the bar. It took forever to get drinks. The rudeness of the main waitress was terrible, I was gobsmacked at the way she spoke to us, threw plates down and was blunt. We ordered desserts with the waiter, who couldn’t count and insisted he brought all desserts out (one being wrong and said they ran out of the one we wanted)…to then come out and say he forgot one, but by that point we had sucked it up and started. It’s a shame, the food is nice. Especially the soup. To leave disappointed after there being 14 of us eating 3 courses is a real shame, but we will not be returning in the near future until new staff are hired.

2nd time I've contacted this restaurant for a large family gathering and both times been completely ignored!. I appreciate people are busy but it's just common courtesy to respond to people !. I'll be avoiding in future.

Overall Experience - highly recommend the roasted duck, Great place for dim sum 1. Siew mai - average 2. Har gao - thin skin, huge and fresh prawn 3. Raddish cake - soft inside and crispy outside, would be better if they mix in dried shrimp to fry together 4. Liu sha bao - bao is soft and fluffy, filling overcooked 5. Fried shrimp dumpling - standard 6. 3 roasted noodles - noodles are dry and crispy, roasted duck and char Siew are really mouth watering, highly recommended this dish, pork is tender, duck is juicy and has crispy skin 7. Service - friendly staff 8. Serving time - 25 mins 9. Affordability - a bit pricy 10. Atmosphere - clean

Worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to, we ordered steamed vermicelli scallops and found they were not fresh, we complained and they canceled the order, other dishes were mediocre. When we were still chatting after the meal, the short-haired waitress started to collect the tableware. She was very rude and impolite. The tableware made a loud collision sound, which gave the impression that she was very impatient. We will not be returning in the future.

The Management have no customer service skills whatsoever 50 th birthday meal ruined and no acknowledgment from them Party of 27. Four of the guest ended up having to take their main meals as takeout as everyone else eaten and been at the table for over 2 half hours. When presented with the bill it was outlined that there we be an expectation of a reduction in these 4 people’s bills given it was now a takeaway The manager said if you are not paying full price leave your food here!! They were eventually offered £4.80 off lol 😂 Consequently food left behind and starters only paid for. The manager had no comprehension that the service had prevented us from eating together they wasn’t interested it was a celebration and that several of the party hadn’t even eaten a meal. We arrived at 545 and left at 8-45. Two couples in the party had to go and purchase food on their way home This place has gone completely downhill since changing hands and the 27 guest will never step foot in there again. Unfortunately we weren’t the only ones another couple left furious without a main meal also. Again management didn’t acknowledge their poor quality service and that their customers we left very disappointed
