Nightmare . Waited over 2 hours for food. All came out at different times. 18 birthday ruined. Staff too busy. Needed double the staff. And asked for a group booking and eblned up on different tables.

Familiar environment, familiar taste, all food employees are nice, but when I went to the cashier, the attitude of the Asian lady was... rushing away customers.

Food is great...service is great...but needs a refurb. The decor looks like it's trapped in the 2000s. I remember it in its heyday.

Food came out quickly. Hot and delicious. We were meeting a friend which we haven't seen for quite a few years, and she just recovered from cancer. So we stayed there much longer than other usual diners....well over 4 hours! What made it special is this waitress, Pegki (yes, right spelling), made us feel comfortable and not overstayed our welcome, and kept topping our Chinese tea. Ocean Treasure will be our go to restaurant if we are visiting Manchester from now on.

Huge restaurant area but they let us choose our table. The food was delicious and came out quickly. We were visiting a friend we haven't seen since she moved to Manchester, so a lot to catch up. We stayed much longer than your usual diners, nearly 5 hours, but we were not been rushed to leave, in fact, Pegki (Peggy spelled differently) the waitress, made us feel comfortable to stay as long as we like, and kept topping our tea. Next time we visit Manchester, whether with family or friends, Ocean Treasure will be our dining destination. Thank you Pegki.

called here recently one Sunday for a banquet meal for two, really enjoyed the food and the dishes came at a nice pace also more than enough food for two and staff and service both very good another visit soon is a must

Absolutely fantastic the food was amazing, if you're ever in and around Oldman and want a fabulous feast at excellent prices then look no further.

Where do I start? We waited 30 mins before getting seated. The staff was unprofessional and the customer service is awful. When we were finally sat down our waitress was so rude and even ignored us when we asked for help which was unacceptable, I expected high standards but this was disappointing. Now the food finally came and let’s start of by saying it tasted like frozen foods that has been heated up and served. Disgusting. Let’s just say the foods were just plain and tasted horrible.

Open at 9 a.m., the supermarket on the lower floor sells live shellfish. The location is remote but the parking spaces are few and narrow. Postscript: Beef tendon is sold in supermarket meat stalls. You can try the radish and beef brisket pot😋

Marvellous food Best Chinese ever.

Been here several times now. Great food and excellent service. Had the lobster, which was done to perfection as was the sea bass.

The dim sum is well made and the dried beef rice noodles are also fried well. The charges are also reasonable, and you can buy a meal at Supermarket after you finish your meal.

Same as last year, there are so many good things to eat and there are so many good things to eat.

First time here. Great staff. Great service. Great food.

Interesting dinner! The restaurant is on an industrial estate but is very large inside and very oriental looking. Atmosphere was nice when we went in, with lots of people eating. Ordered a sharing platter and was surprised at the small portions. Once we had eaten that we decided to order more only to be told that the kitchen was closed, which was surprising given that it was only 8:20 PM and the website says the restaurant is open to midnight. Staff agreed to serve us another course after two of them argued somewhat in front of us and then were quite frosty when we ordered a second drink to go with this second main course. Food itself was good (the soup) poor (the duck, which was dry and overcooked, probably reheated).

Used to really love this place and we would go as often as we could. After an accident a few years back I was using a wheelchair, we rang them and they said they had a lift. When we went it was a really cramped service lift at the back and it came out in the kitchen. It was manic, crammed with chefs and staff. You could barely see anything for the steam. It wasn't an experience I was keen to repeat, so we then switched to having our orders delivered. Steadily we noticed that the prices were getting higher and higher to the point where it just became too much of a luxury. So now we just order from a nice take-away. So unless they have installed a proper lift or a stair lift, if they have, we might go for a special occasion.

It's the best place for yum cha in Great Manchester that has plenty of carparks, there is a Chinese supermarket downstairs where you can go shopping after lunch/dinner. Recommend booking before you go on Saturday or Sunday.

We had a party of 14 people. They took the orders and we all got served at the same time. Alot of food portion sizes were huge. Food was good

Good place for afternoon lunch nice menu

My partner and myself visited tuesday afternoon the restaurant was a third full and the food and service was spot on.We ordered quarter duck and fillet steak spring rolls in pepper sauce, my partner had king prawns with vegetables while i had special chow mein 4 pints of lager a magners and a glass of white wine, total price £89.

Used residence upstairs back in 2013. Very good staff and unique atmosphere something special.

Lobster with ginger and spring onion, steamed turbot, and the roasts dishes were spot on. These old-time canto restaurants are harder to find now and I'm so pleased this place is still on top of its game.

Good food but not stand out or same standard of dim sum as somewhere like Din Tai Fung - big restaurant , difficult parking when busy and crowded. Still good and place to visit .

Very busy on a Saturday lunch time. Always best to book a table, as people queue on the stairs as soon as it opens. Lovely food, good service.

Really affordable and authentic dim sum

Food was served lukewarm, we asked for pre starters (ribs and wings) these came with the starters, resulting in cooler food, my main appeared to me as warmed up meat, However, I took home left overs and cooked it through, It tasted excellent, so we may have been unlucky on the day.

Large Chinese banquet Hall. Excellent service and accommodations from the staff. Front of house lovely . Lots of Chinese families eating here . A vast menu , with plenty of healthy options , the king prawns were amazing and so were the Ribs. Also huge wine !!

點心味道我個人會覺得比太湖好，炒左兩碟粉一係干炒牛河、二係星米，牛河中規中矩，但個星米就出事啦⋯⋯⋯酸嘅。個種酸味就好似去超市買左淘大系列（黑色包裝）米粉種酸味一樣，雖然落好重味但都冚唔住，可惜。

The food is tasty! However, everything else was disappointing. The waitress was very rude, blunt & unfriendly. The waiter couldn’t count. Some food was cold and the drinks service was appalling. We arrived at 1:40, the lunch menu ended at 2. You’d think that they would take your order in 20 mins. But no. At 2:10 they took our order. Didn’t take a drinks order, we had to compile a list and take it to the bar. It took forever to get drinks. The rudeness of the main waitress was terrible, I was gobsmacked at the way she spoke to us, threw plates down and was blunt. We ordered desserts with the waiter, who couldn’t count and insisted he brought all desserts out (one being wrong and said they ran out of the one we wanted)…to then come out and say he forgot one, but by that point we had sucked it up and started. It’s a shame, the food is nice. Especially the soup. To leave disappointed after there being 14 of us eating 3 courses is a real shame, but we will not be returning in the near future until new staff are hired.

Raddish cake - soft inside and crispy outside, would be better if they mix in dried shrimp to fry together 4. Liu sha bao - bao is soft and fluffy, filling overcooked 5. Fried shrimp dumpling - standard 6. 3 roasted noodles - noodles are dry and crispy, roasted duck and char Siew are really mouth watering, highly recommended this dish, pork is tender, duck is juicy and has crispy skin 7. Service - friendly staff 8. Serving time - 25 mins 9. Affordability - a bit pricy 10. Atmosphere - clean

Worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to, we ordered steamed vermicelli scallops and found they were not fresh, we complained and they canceled the order, other dishes were mediocre. When we were still chatting after the meal, the short-haired waitress started to collect the tableware. She was very rude and impolite. The tableware made a loud collision sound, which gave the impression that she was very impatient. We will not be returning in the future.

The Management have no customer service skills whatsoever 50 th birthday meal ruined and no acknowledgment from them Party of 27. Four of the guest ended up having to take their main meals as takeout as everyone else eaten and been at the table for over 2 half hours. When presented with the bill it was outlined that there we be an expectation of a reduction in these 4 people’s bills given it was now a takeaway The manager said if you are not paying full price leave your food here!! They were eventually offered £4.80 off lol 😂 Consequently food left behind and starters only paid for. The manager had no comprehension that the service had prevented us from eating together they wasn’t interested it was a celebration and that several of the party hadn’t even eaten a meal. We arrived at 545 and left at 8-45. Two couples in the party had to go and purchase food on their way home This place has gone completely downhill since changing hands and the 27 guest will never step foot in there again. Unfortunately we weren’t the only ones another couple left furious without a main meal also. Again management didn’t acknowledge their poor quality service and that their customers we left very disappointed

I started to cone to this restaurant in 2007 as it was the nearest food to golden chop sticks off the dam plien in the centre of Amsterdam it was the nearest I've experienced since then the last time I visited ocean treasure up until tonight was around 4 years ago were if you bought a lobster it was £26 and the mixed meat was 12 now thevlobstercis £46 and is half the weight and the mixed meat is a child's potion both have doubled in price and the restaurant as gone down hill it's no surprise that I've found out it as been changed hands since I last visited and it shows as its playing on its past reputation rather than what itv offers today in a financial crisis as much as it displeases me to sayvit I advice you to keep your money in your pocket and stay well away 😩

Traditional Chinese banquet halls are spacious and can accommodate a large number of diners simultaneously. Sunday mornings are traditionally the day when families gather at the banquet hall to have dim sum. We had made a reservation for 12:00 PM, but we arrived 15 minutes before the opening time and found a long queue of people at the entrance. Finally, we had to wait for 30 minutes before we could secure a seat. There were a wide variety of dim sum options, many of which were not found in other Chinese restaurants in the UK. These dim sum dishes brought back nostalgic memories for us. In addition to dim sum, we also ordered a platter of three different types of roasted meats, which were all delicious and worth recommending. Overall, the quality of the food was satisfying. The restaurant environment was a bit crowded, but this is common in typical Chinese restaurants.

Went there for my 80th Brill time excellent food........ excellent company

Utterly disappointed with the service. It was recommended by a friend and the food was good. The roasted meats were authentic. However after an 80 minutes for food to be served anything will taste good. One member of staff in particular felt it was appropriate to tell me to call down when I said politely that if the food doesn't arrive within the next 2 minutes we would leave. I don't understand the excuse I was given either 'if you ordered the English food it would be here quicker". I have always thought that if I wanted to eat English I will go to a Chinese restaurant... not. There wasn't a lazy Suzie on the table and spent most of the meal uncomfortably pushing dishes across the big round table. Don't order the sweet and sour pork ribs and I can't recommend a dessert as we weren't in the mood to wait another potential 45 minutes for them to bring it. There are better places to eat.

Such a great visit for a birthday celebration. Food was really tasty and generous portion sizes. The fillet steak rolls and aromatic crispy duck were especially good. Service also great with friendly and attentive staff and a nice surprise of a happy birthday song to finish. Would definitely recommend and will be returning, thank you!

Came here for a dim sum lunch and the food was fresh, authentic and very tasty. We ordered a plate of rice with roast duck and roast pork and the portion was enough to feed the table. Altogether for four people we ordered 6 dim sum and there was enough to go around. I really liked the deep fried squid and the steamed buns. We were given a choice of teas to drink rather then be given jasmine tea automatically which I thought was a good touch. The steamed dim sum came to the table in their bamboo boxes and tasted freshly made. The bill was reasonable and the service friendly and efficient. Will be going to this restaurant regularly as there is free parking too. Downstairs is a chinese supermarket so you can stock up before you leave.

Dimsums are very good. Fried noodle and vermicelli dishes' quality varies. Sometimes you are so disappointed that you don't want to order them again.

dine in and buy a takeaway as well. wait so Long for the food, slow speed. buy a pork fried rice for takeaway, and it's horrible. The rice is Very DRY and can't really taste anything (not much flavor)... Not recommended.

We went to Ocean Treasure for my brother in laws 80th birthday. We had a booking for 12noon. Couldn't believe how busy it was...all tables were taken. We were looked after brilliantly, food came out piping hot, they guided us on how much to order...to avoid food waste. The birthday cake came out and everyone sang to Dave. As we were leaving, the staff that saw the birthday boy shook his hand. Absolutely beautiful lunch, thank you to all the staff for making it so special.

I had a fantastic time with Friends. The Food was Delicious and big portions they had a Fantastic singer on and a D.J. plenty of room free parking clean and relaxing Atmosphere. The staff done everything they could to provide a high level of Customer Service. Thanks Again

Food poisoning was on the menu for our last visit to ocean treasure 🤢, both of us were I'll but girlfriend had the eartha kitts sor two days , put it down to the slimy chicken we were served £120 spent for the pleasure as well, never again

Book via telephone, walk-ins are asked to wait. Food is standard but lacking dips/sauces/condiments. Service varies depending on staff, as the concierge was friendly, as was the waiter taking the order but the service manager asked for our table back (when we were waiting for our order to arrive), then said it was struck off the bill, then asked us if we have paid already; it was a bizarre way to treat customers. The long waiting time spoiled the occasion and attitude of some staff made the atmosphere tense. Will not be going again.

Really gets me why so many people queue up. not too walk-in friendly. food was just alright, even after 40mins waiting after placed the order and we were starving. also missing a meal, yet asking us for the table back but no one initially to follow-up/chase-up for your order even seeing you have an empty table there. i know it's busy, but i don't think that's an excuse as you set up the tables for the amount of customers you should be capable to serve. so round up, not too helpful staffs, late serving food, normal quality food, rush for table back. not impressive and not recommended for friends and family. one star for the whole experience, the other star for the only 3 friendly staffs.

I went with my friends last weekend and the food service was so slow. The beef we ordered was still frozen and had no flavour. We also ordered the steamed crab and the crab had already gone off and had this disgusting rotting smell. When we made the complaint to the lady kept telling us the food had no problems and didn't even try to fix it or apologise. We were so disappointed since this was one of our favourite places but it seems like it has gone down in quality in recent months! Definitely don't recommend this place anymore after they treated us like that, save your time and go somewhere else

An authentic HK Sunday lunch, many tables, filled with local Chinese community. The food is good, nothing too fancy. Well worth a visit.

recently booked a table online for a birthday treat for somebody when the party turned up the whole restuarant was booked out to a wedding we were not informed. Really disappointed with that service considering I've been there on various occasions and got no apology either

The spicy beef was a bit overcooked. The fried rice noodles are a bit oily, but the taste is okay. Recommend the sweet and sour fried fish and rose sauce soy sauce chicken, not very outstanding, but unique. For Chinese restaurants in the UK, the portions are very good and value for money.

Staff were very rude, shouting at us whilst giving out our food. Food was very average and overpriced. They also handed out takeaway boxes to everyone and then afterwards added to the bill £1 per box. We spent a lot of money in this restaurant and we were not treated well. I would not return here.

Visited here for the first time today and it was buzzing. Lots of Chinese people dining, which is always a good sign. We took a chance and ordered a mixture of 6 Dim Sum. We each had our favourites which we would probably order again but agreed that we would carry on experimenting next time we visit, which will be pretty soon. Before leaving, we went downstairs to the adjoining supermarket and bought some things to bring home. ALL The Staff were extremely pleasant and engaged in unhurried conversation. I have no hesitation in recommending this place.

The food is fair. The staffs are friendly except a woman in black dress came and asked if we have finished the food as she would like "the table back" for the next customer. We arrived at 12:30 and left at 13:40. It's ridiculous that we have waited the food for half an hour and only ate for another half hour. The way she ask made us feel uncomfortable and it's obvious that we were still eating since there were food in our bowl... Definitely won't visit again!

Outstanding restaurant. We were a family group of 5. They gave us one of the lovely side tables. The service and food were fantastic. I could not fault this place. I see someone posted a review in April 2023 only giving 1 star moaning about the starter platter and pricing! We had this and it was clear in the menu and pricing and we felt was great value for money, the ribs were huge and the best we’ve ever had. All of the portion sizes were very generous and food quality exceptional. The staff were all so helpful and fun. We had an absolutely fantastic time and will definitely coming back with more friends and family.

I was impressed by the restaurant‘s decoration (mainly Cantonese, HK style). You will find a wide range of dishes, not just seafood. I particularly like the soya source chicken and spring onion beef. Some other dishes especially seafood would taste better if the ingredients are fresher. Good experience overall and would recommend if you fancy authentic Chinese food.

Spent over £300 on a family meal which was ok but shocked and saddened to be charged £3 for 3 takeaway cartons to take home some leftovers. Penny pinching and miserly in the extreme. Won’t be going back.
