Ocean Plaice Fish & Chips in Fareham

I am afraid to say that the large piece of fish we had tonight was not of the normal high standard, shame.

Really good fish and chips at good prices.

First time customer and will be returning. Portions are huge, a small chips could easily feed 2 adults, large cod was huge. Curry sauce is beautiful and all round lush chippie tea.

Says shuts at 9. Actually half 8. They need the half hour to cook cod and chips from the last order taken. Still waiting Really its a chip shop and shoukd be in the heater. Better be good !!

Great tasting food and piping hot.

A bit miffed recently. I just wanted a small portion of chips to add to a dinner I had cooked. They wouldn't accept a debit card for under £4 and since the pandemic, I rarely carry cash. So I went away empty-handed. I've been a regular there since 2007!

Chips were stale and raw and tasted off. Curry sauce was horrible the texture and taste were poor.

Fish and chips at its best , just finished eating, we were happy ,my two grandchild were happy, best £26.70 I’ve spent in ages, the lady that served me was polite and very professional, please don’t change your winning formula!!!

Great fish and chips, cooked to order so very fresh. Great rates for pensioner portions, which are still large.

I have given a 1 star as the food was not very nice. The chicken pie was all soggy as if not cooked properly on the bottom. The chips were soggy and disgusting. Staff were very polite, shame about the food.

1 star for the service . Two times I was given chips without ordering them. Then I asked for salt n vinegar only be told I didn't ask then infront of the store I was told i was rude because she can't get my order right .

In my opinion the best fish and chips in the area. Fish cooked fresh when you order with a thin batter. Well sized. Chips portions are huge, one medium portion serves 3. Nice staff and easy parking.

I am very fussy about fish and chips. But boy this place is good. Freshly cooked. Massive portions. Nice dry non greasy chips and fresh fluffy fish. I've not been here for over a year and it was as good as I remember. Not too dear either. Thoroughly recommended 👌.

We love the F and C from here. Everything cooked to order.

First customer of the day, chips were like small lego bricks, solid, the pie was cold in the middle and I only live 2 mins away. The curry sauce is also really not great, same powered lumpy stuff a lot of places serve. Real shame.

Ordered medium cod and small chips...the cod was cooked to perfection with a light and airy batter, although just a little greasy, and the small chips were the largest portion I've had in years!!! The ONLY diwn side was I asleep for lots of salt and vinegar and could barely taste it...a small niggle point but that aside this is the best fish n chips I've had in a long time!!!! A must go and eat!

I ordered our tea on Sat and sorry to say some of the chips were not cooked fully as a result my self and my 2 daughter's were up all night with sickness and upset tummy. Sorry for bad review but very disappointed with the food.

The large cod is great for 2 people. It is best to ring and order to save a wait.

Good value, proper traditional Fish and Chips. Decent enough portions. Free parking right outside. The only thing that stops me using this venue more often is the fact they do not take card.
