This was my first visit, really lovely grounds and the hotel was clean, the food was great and the service was excellent :) I would definitely go again :)

Had lunch today and it was lovely

Good food went out to lunch and ate in the pods, roast was fantastic but when waitress took order she told us what the soup was and then assumed we would just be having the roast and my wife the veggie roast, without individually asking what we would be having, which felt like the choice was made for us, my wife actually wanted to try the vegan bowl but didn't want to complain when, the waitress added the veg roast. Aside from that the food was amazing from the presentation on the meat board to how it was cooked and I can't fault the roast it would have been nice to have some pigs in blankets aswell but they had ran out by 12 when we arrived apparently but that didn't detract from the overall meal, would go again to try more of what they have to offer

Went for a family event on a Sunday and had their Roast Board..... very nice. The only downside was that the domes get extremely hot even with the air con unit, which did make it uncomfortable to eat in. Staff were fantastic.

What a beautiful building, they offer different packages like afternoon tea, cheese and wine,weddings, pods. Lovely staff you get the feeling off posh...checkout the ceilings downstairs.

Currently rooms are being updated but the ones that are completed are done to a very high standard! Beautiful setting, beautiful building, very friendly staff, very helpful! Would definitely recommend!

Beautifully renovated mansion with excellent facilities in classy surroundings

The room wasn't quite what we were expecting but it is a lovely place.

Had afternoon tea in one of the pods. The waitress was lovely. Food was great (doesn't look a lot when it comes out but there was loads left which they were happy to put in a box for the kids) Tea, coffee and iced coffee were kept topped up. Average price for that sort of thing but the grounds are stunning. Well worth a visit if only for a drink and walk around the grounds. Have it on good authority that the food is great too, haven't tasted it but saw it and looked lovely.

Fascinating history, formally an asylum for those with significant learning difficulties during the past 100+ years, and like all Victorian established asylums, closed down at the turn of the 21st century as the new woke social vision of assisted living in the community took shape. For those with an interest in ghosts, then you won't be disappointed

I booked a pod experience for my mother's 80th Birthday. The Food and Drinks were absolutely fantastic. The staff was all helpful and started to look at other things they do here; we will be coming back; thank you to every team member who made my mum's 80th enjoyable.

Not the cheapest place to eat or drink, but very nice all the same. We have eaten inside, service and food were very good. Sunday dinner in one of the pods was a nice experience. We were given a blue tooth speaker to link to, food served on a huge wooden platter.

Lovely setting and great service from matt, no gluten free option in the pods which was surprising and disappointing that said the food we did have was lovely x

Menu outside changed we used to love having a drink and a sandwich sitting in the sunshine now you only do cream teas and dinner unfortunately we won't be returning.

Harry was epic and his service was spot on. Wonderful location with lots of parking. Easy to find. Great venue for a celebration meal & drinks.

I had the pleasure of DJing at this fantastic hotel, and I must say, the experience was exceptional! The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, from setting up the equipment to catering to guest requests. Their professionalism and friendliness truly made the event memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for any event, big or small. We hope to be back again soon 😊

Great food at a fair price, dog friendly as well

I had my wedding at Coldeast Mansion in April and it was everything I dreamed of and more! Katherine was absolutely amazing helping me along the way to make sure I had the most incredible day. The food was incredible as well. Can’t wait to come back soon! X

Lovely Easter Lunch menu, in the brilliant pods!The staff were great, friendly and attentive. The pod was warm enough with heaters, there are speakers to play music which is a nice touch, and dogs are welcome, great place to come for my birthday.

Great place, very luxurious. Staff are friendly and helpful. I made a mistake with one of my childrens drinks and they were very happy to change it, no questions asked.

We came for afternoon tea which was amazing value at just £25 a head! The food was awesome, the service was lovely and the setting in the outside pod was beautiful. These guys got it spot on at every touch point - one teeny bit of (hopefully) constructive feedback - the menu says no gluten or dairy free, and when I asked they kindly did a vegan version for one of our guest who can’t eat dairy - so I suggest removing the “non dairy option” comment from the menu? We had a great afternoon and I highly recommend giving this place a go - we will be coming back!!

We had a lunch reservation, but upon arrival, we found the car park overflowing and the street lined with parked cars. Unfortunately, there was nowhere to park. Disappointed, we had to cancel our reservation and find another restaurant. When I inquired with a staff member about recommended parking options, they simply shrugged. This experience highlights the challenge of limited parking during peak times, which can be frustrating for diners with reservations. Perhaps the restaurant could consider offering alternative parking suggestions or a plan for managing overflow situations.

Very noisy if you have a basement apartment, probably better to get a room only.

Hired an outside POD with friends, fantastic food and friends, a great time

Brilliant restaurant and grounds. It's an old building which makes for very good common areas, but some of the rooms have issues. Staff are friendly and the welcome good dogs in most of the areas

First time going here and will definitively be going back. Set in a beautiful location, peaceful, calm, you could be in the countryside. Versatile with activity, food and events, pod seating if 6 or more in a group.

Went as a Mothers Day treat for a new Mum and her Mother, plus most of the rest of the family. A pod booked back in Nov had the deposit paid too late (Feb) - the deposit was taken but pod confirmation never given, it had been reallocated...... On arrival, the staff were outstanding and immediately offered a free bottle of prosecco while the issue was sorted. Juliya, the duty manager, was excellent and quickly recovered our earlier disappointment by offering the use of the Private Dining Room - a very good call as we had a 3mth old baby and a dog (both were very well behaved). The service was exemplary, the food was lovely and plentiful, and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed the day. Well done Juliya and all team members at The Mansion. We will be back to this beautifully restored property near Locks Heath. I don't give 5 stars very often but it was wholeheartedly deserved by the team on Mothers Day.

I was booked into an apartment for the night. Never again! The room was hidden down a dark path out the back of the main building, the TV & shower didn't work, the room was scruffy and the neighbour was very noisy! The only reason I've given it two stars is the people who worked there are friendly

Lovely meal just a little disappointed with the service. Over an hour wait for food when we asked to preorder before the night. Table was been cleared straight after dessert and we were still having drinks. Nothing offered to us after meal in terms of drinks or coffee
