Trusted the reviews on hear as I'm not from the area, will definitely be back.

First time trying this chippy despite it being just three minute walk from my house (I’m not sure why it took me so long) I was very delighted! The chips gave me nostalgia feel, tastes just like they used to in the 90s. Will 100% be my local regular chippy from now on

Really good food tonight. We ordered chicken kebab meal deal and popcorn chicken, so good. Chips were lovely, usually never eat very many, they were so good I couldn't leave them alone.

What can i say well done too the owners had Doner kebab meat & chips garlic sauce & Chilly sauce chips lovely x2 & Fish & chips susage chips we wiĺl be returning best ive had in years thanks staff friendly Chips very good 👍 ps went there couple of years ago wasn't so good but the New owners Now doing something right favourite chip shop now . Never ordering from here again! My parner and I ordered last night. The fish was undercooked, cold and soggy and dripping in grease, was absolutely disgusting. So disgusting that we only had a bite out of each fish and couldn’t eat the rest. We were both up all night throwing up so not only did it taste gross but we’ve also had food poisoning!! Avoid at all costs. Only given one star as it won’t let me give 0.

Ordered chicken burger chips and kebab was delivered in 40 mins very hot well cooked and delicious will definitely order again

Fabulous fish, cooked fresh. Husband enjoyed the novelty of a 1ft long battered sausage. Proper mushy peas!!!

I normally love the delivery service after working all day. The fish wasn't the cod i'd ordered, the chips were re--heated and the peas went straight in the bin....

Ordered for a collection , got a phone call within ten minutes to say it’s ready to collect, first time of trying this place under new ownership. Very impressed. Good portions and not bad prices. Chippy chips are really nicely cooked. Battered sausage was a hit with the other half. I had donor kebab and salad , fussy with kebab meat but this was very very tasty , almost homemade in taste. Not greasy at all, lots of flavour as in spices and herbs etc. no nasty bits. Good portion of meat and salad. Would highly recommend and use them again

Horrible the worst iv ever had chips were dryed out fish was a full and sausages.

Was a bit sceptical at first due to how empty the shop was; but food was good. Had 2 x donner kebabs and they were lovely. Great portions and well priced. Would definitely recommend.

Wow! Fantastic fish and chips, huge portions and fair prices. You even get a little pot with a slice of lemon and some tartare sauce! Super impressed. Well done to the new owners. We will definitely be returning.

Just had some delicious cod bites and cheesy chips! The fish tastes fresh, the batter light and crispy and chips are not covered in oil like most places, they taste home made and fresh too! Very lovely lunch, thank you!

Freshly re-opened. Please give them a try! We have and enjoyed it. The chips are tasty and not soggy. Batter lovely and light not over the top crispy. Friendly and local. Support it or loose it.

Didn't like the fish products. It looked fresh, but it didn't taste real. Maybe it was just it seemed to me.

Ordered a large kebab for 2030hrs, finally turned up at 2120. Woke up at 0330am to be sick, and now currently have all symptom food poisoning. Will not be ordering from here again!.

Service was good and the place had a nice atmosphere

Chips were over cooked, batter was over cooked and fish was like mush.. sorry but won't be eating here again

Order large fish and chips this evening. Fish was very moist and lovely. The big let down been given old chips which clearly been reheated . They were bruise and crinkley and dry. Won't be back

Sorry but this was not an Ocean Delight!! First and last time I’ll be getting Fish & Chips from here. I ordered online for collection, was emailed to say my order would be ready in 20 mins. When I arrived nothing was ready. Whilst waiting the whole place seemed in chaos, orders where stacked up waiting to go out and nobody seemed to know what they were doing in the kitchen. I sat and watched in horror!!! Once I got home with my order the chips were cold and horrible, all went in the bin!! The cod was tasty but the batter was very soft. Don’t bother is all I can say….. sorry. ☹️☹️

Had a take out from here and all the batter was all soggy and cakey. Not very nice unfortunately. Ordered through just eat. The delivery time was half an hour compared to the hour and a bit I was quoted which was good, but I'd rather the fish and battered sausages had been cooked properly and been late rather than early 👍

Very polite staff. Clean and tidy. Doesn’t take card payments in the shop, but they will let you place an order and then tell you that you have to pay in cash. Very frustrating. Don’t bother going if you don’t have the cash. No idea what the food is like. Try the village in crownhill - they take card payments and it’s really good!

Food was nice , delivery driver was really friendly. If you like the kind of chips you get at the bottom of a bag then this place is for you !! Chips for me where amazing . Burger was lovely

Well that was pretty disappointing to be honest batter was so thick I had to peel it off and just eat the fish and everything else was nice and hot to the stage it all sweated was pretty inedible to he honest just another tick off the list I suppose

customer service was good but ordered 3 meals 2 fish and chips and 1 childs nuggets and chips and all of the chips were either chewy or so hard you could break your teeth on them its a shame as the fish was good and my daughter enjoyed her 4 nuggets but all chips were chucked straight in the bin

Amazing #desi food. Best #halal fish and chips and chicken wings were very tasty. Must visit if you are in Plymouth. Homemade food business and the staff was great. Only thing I would say is they need to put price down for the sauces and increase the quantity.

Quick Delivery, great customer service and friendly staff. One of the best Kebabs I've ever had and the Chicken Wings were amazing. Cracking Fish and Chips as well. Would highly recommend for takeaway. Thank-you!

Excellent , I had fish and chips , it was gorgeous and the fish was big the chips were amazing , the other half had a mixed kebab ( and he is very fusy i can tell you ) but he cleared the lot , and he said that the chilly sauce was the best he has had from any take away , give it a try you won't be disappointed, highly recommend

Second time ordering from Ocean Delight and it has not disappointed, just as good as the first if not better! Lovely fish, great portion size of chips and staff are extremely accommodating, really rate this place, would highly recommend

I live 2 streets away from here and have had take away in the past I dont think the chips are as nice as the village or Frankie Jack's, if you was to improve your chips I'd use you more

Fish was fresh and tasty but oil wasn't drained properly. Chips were not fresh and had gotten cold.

Ordered on just eat, Dont reccomend ocean delight fish and chips, me and my partner have both been incredible ill from it after an hour of eating, found white spots on our cheesy chips, several black long hairs and really greesy fish making batter soggy and fish really watery as if it was gone off as well at the tarter sauce being incredible sweet weve messaged them and waiting for a response but dont go there for food

I had Cod and Chips from a lot of places in Plymouth but this is without a doubt one of the beat if not the beat I have had. Huge portions very quick service and good price!

We went there last night as we'd had a flyer through our door. The fish was lovely, freshly cooked and really tasty and the batter was delicious. The chips were lovely and crispy and mushy peas were very tasty too. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be going again.

Ordered a delivery here for the kids and they loved it!

We are so pleased that Ocean is back open, had a lovely family meal last night. Loved the new food items on the menu. Will be back again next weekend.

They delivered a lot quicker than stated & came back with a forgotten item quickly. However the chips were awful I assume they were reheated from yesterday. And the chilli wings so hot that it would've been far better to have the sauce on the side- they were inedible. All in all extremely disappointing.

Manager phoned said sorry which was really nice of him I will return back to the shop as I am missing my kebab tonight

Best fish and chips in Plymouth!

Got order 1.5hrs after ordering, kept being told it had eft 5mins ago when i live 5mins away. Food was ok bjt chips looked like they had been cooked yesterday and food was not that warm for a short journey if indeed it had left when they said. Not happy and probably wont order for delivery from them again

The fish is perfect, nice big piece of fish and batter cooked well. Stunning. The kebabs are great too. Wouldn't use another chippy.

Just done another order asked for the food how we like it asked for delivery at 9pm and if will always be on time wont go anywhere esle since i have been to this take away and the food is spot on cant knock this place.soeey food was great once angsin but did pay £5.60 for donnor and chips and had more chips thn donnor meat needs to be less chips as chips are cheaper sorry but like i said food was good from pl53hf
