Nice food but it's a bit pricey

Takeaway during England match very nice.

Food was late, terrible quality -barely edible Avoid

Orderd Food 2 weeks ago thought it had gone down hill Definitely wasn’t the same Taste at all more like Waterd Done and bland so decided to try again tonight chicken & mushroom curry meat balls curry sauce which was definitely watered down no flavour what so ever chips was like warmed up and the rice well same prawn crackers don’t no how long they had been in the bag will not order again from here it’s realy gone down hill

Ordered a meal as they opened felt like old food reheated the pork balls were dry and rock hard chilly beef the same curry sauce and chilli beef sauce like water waste of £30 all went in the bin

Great food as always same delivery was twice as long as stated when ordered. Came super hot so nothing to do with the driver just the cooking. Maybe updates on their app if any delays as phone was constantly engaged

Not ordered in a while but definitely gone down hill. Crispy chilli beef awful. Chips warm not hot. Won't be ordering again

Great takeaway good value for money very clean very friendly service

Ordered on Friday night, food has definitely gone way down hill compared to a year or so ago. Chips tasted like frozen oven chips, chicken balls tiny with the most vile batter. Sweet and sour sauce has gotten thinner and tastes weaker. Charging expensive prices for cheap quality food and long delivery times, isn’t worth ordering anymore.

Avoid,the worst Chinese takeaway me and my pals have ever had.

Food is tasteless. Honestly, don’t waste your time. There are plenty of other good Chinese takeaways around.

We love ocean, always our first choice for takeaway. Order enough for 4 and will have leftovers for tomorrow. Always get plenty. We usually ask to adapt some of the meals to accommodate a picky eater and there is never a problem. Sometimes delivery takes a while but it is worth the wait.

Had delivery. Came on time and hot. Not quite 5 star as I enjoyed my Chinese meal but husband didn't enjoy his English meal.

Food arrived raw onions, Rock hard peppers with beef. like it wasn't even cooked, mushrooms were shrivelled old mushrooms, egg rice was very chewy. Dry old chips. Very disappointing for price paid. Won't order again. Messaged on messenger and not even a answer or apology.

Always had a goods experience here satay chicken chow mein is amazing.

Had the special fried rice however it was that special, no king prawns, more ham than anything meat wise , a little disappointed for £6.20

I have been ordering from here for years!! The beef curry is amazing!! And everytine I ask for no veg I get exactly that! They never dissapoint. Best Chinese I've had (and I've had alot) 😅 the receptionist is extremely polite!! Very nice lady xx all around great place!!

absolute rubbish tonight for an anniversary aswell as much as we enjoyed the one mid week which was really good must be pot luck with the chef watery some dishes tastless cold not a happy chappy very poor obviously under pressure not even giving them a 1 out of 10 hope the owner reads the comments you have my details

Discussing!!!! Stay away, waiting over 2 hours for it to arrive... ok fair enough, thought this must be really good to have to wait so long, oh how wrong was I. The satay chicken looked like it was swimming in pond water with more mushrooms than chicken, not the usual satay chicken I’m used to, the crispy chilli chicken was in fact soggy and sweet & I'm sure they missed the chilli out, the vegetable spring rolls looked like someone had vomited inside them and the chips looked more like scabby scraps from the bottom of the fryer. Fair to say I’ll not be ordering from here again.

Excellent service, fantastic buffet. Very accommodating for our disabled son’s request for his 18th birthday on lockdown. All requirements were above expectations & absolutely plenty of food for 4 people. Thank you Ocean we have a very happy and full up 18 year old

We have just had our takeaway and I must say it was absolutely lovely we all enjoyed it we ordered at 6-15 and it was ready at 6-35 I would like to say this is the best takeaway and I would 100% recommend it thank you for a lovely meal

Waited nearly 3 hours for our delivery it is still not here, tried to phone constantly engaged. Appreciate they are busy and said 1.5 to 2 for delivery. We were prepared to wait that long but now is getting silly.. dont take orders if cannot cope.

Tried this Chinese for the first time about a week ago. Called in to place order, quite busy with people waiting for orders. Counter assistant was very welcoming. Waited about 20 minutes for order but well worth it! Decided to telephone our order through on the next visit (Saturday evening) to save the wait inside takeaway,but after about 50 calls later and no answer as the phone was constantly engaged I decided to drive there. Takeaway was again very busy inside.I placed order and waited a good 25 minutes. What I can say is that this place is constantly busy for a reason and that is because the food here is absolutely beautiful. Can not fault it one bit! One of the best Chinese takeaways for miles.

Placed an order on line, delivery time listed as 20.04 or earlier, well it’s 20.28 and we are still waiting. When I phoned and asked where it was there couldn’t tell me where it was, but promised it would be will with me in 5 to 10 mins? How’s this possible if you don’t know where it is....................

The food is tasteless, the chips came cold n hard asked for the chicken balls to be extra crispy n they came slimy. Sadly money down the drain and food put in bin 👎

Amazing food and girl at the front desk who must also answer the phone was really polite.

Way to watery, the rice was bland. Salt and pepper crispy chicken was not crispy but soggy. The shredded beef was also soggy. Really disappointed. £20 I’ll never get back..

What can i say, in our opinion Ocean is the best chinese takeaway in Doncaster. Great food, Great staff!

Had a takeaway the other night as my local was closed. I have eaten here before but some years ago and the food was great, but how times have changed this was the worst food I have had for a long time. The curry tasted powdery. The deep fried shredded beef had thick soggy batter and didn’t taste of anything, the egg fried rice was jus like bland fried rice no sign of any eggs the only thing that was edible were the chips. Money down the drain food in the bin even the dog wouldn’t eat it. Never going back!

The food was excellent as usuall.

Great food but don't look after loyal customers. Won't deliver to certain areas anymore. Never had a problem before always delivered until now.

I go there every Friday night for myself and the people i work with and the staff there are really pleasant and the food is always fantastic.

Best Chinese in Doncaster. Friendly staff, ample portions and lovely beautiful food. Not greasy like other competing Chinese takeaways. Always look after my dietary requirements and food always arrives piping hot! 10/10

One of my favourite Chinese places to order from but sadly do not deliver to my new location :( they have one of the best chicken curries and the sweet and sour chicken balls are great! If you want to try a decent Chinese takeaway give this place a call! They also have an app you can download to make ordering easier!

Bought a Chinese last week which is usually lovely. However I think they may forgotten to fry my chicken fried rice this time as it looked and tasted like boiled rice with some chicken in it. The chow mein was disgusting aswell, the chicken was like jelly and the texture was very odd, even the dog didn't like it.

Without doubt this is a true gem of Cantonese Cuisine.... All freshly cooked, very generous portions as well..... Some of the dishes, 181 for example, are already legendary in the Scawsby area. Forget the rest.... This takeaway is all you need.

Ordered from this place off hungryhouse. After spending time to make the order on the web page i went on with my evening expecting my food to be coming. To then get a text after 15 mins saying they had cancelled my order. No explanation or reasoning. I call them to get an answer as to why it was cancelled to then be fobbed off as "i live too far away." I paid for delivery which would have more than covered the fuel/time, as i only live 4 miles away. I explain that it isnt stated on the website and they said "well we dont manage the site". Now the cash i did have is now held up with hungryhouse and will take 3/4 days for me the receive it due to the ridiculously poor customer service and pure rudeness on the phone. Sort it out! Avoid!

Spare ribs were tough and the barbecue sauce had hardly any flavour. Chicken balls looked and tasted like they had been refried. Special fried rice was good. I expected better food after reading the reviews for Ocean. First and last time of using this takeaway.
