Ocean Blue in Tower Hamlets

Wasn't sure at first, Went in and ordered Cod and Chips twice. Surprisingly good ! I'd recommend it.

Maybe went on bad day but batch of chips recieved werent best and was overpriced for what I got. Convenient location but Wapping Chip Shop is better.

Spotted this joint while I was changing to the DLR and spotted this deal for 2.00 deal for 4 wings and chips. As a wings and chippy chip fan I had to return and try it. It is a 40 seater restaurant but sadly they are not doing dine ins at the moment so I had to eat nearby because I love drowning my chips with vinegar. As much as I like the fries that are usually served in chicken shops, chippy chips are more to my liking and here you can have them with wings as they specialize in fish and chips. The chips were amazing, even those they had been fried for sometime but kept in the heated cabinet they were still delicious as they were good quality chips meaning they can still taste good after sitting there for a while. For the wings I was given one drumette and three flats, normally I like the drumettes but in this occasion the flats were really tasty and coated in a spicy coating. Definitely coming back for more and I liked the portion size and price because it meant I could sample their chips and wings.

He comido pescado y papas fritas un par de veces y no es nada especial. Hoy en día no tenía buen gusto y tuvo que tirarlo después de un par de picaduras. Fue una pérdida de dinero, ya que no son baratos.

The chips are cut too large and not well cooked! The fish has no taste at all! At way Overpriced at £9.99- certainly won't be going there again and don't reccomend it.

I have read all the reviews and can not understand why people complain the prices go up! They need to stay afloat so they need to raise their prices! Customer service is excellent, always bubbly and friendly, complimentary sauces which is rare from a chip shop! How can you go wrong with £1.80 meal? I mean seriously! Much better then the other dirty chicken shops in the area! Go there and try it yourself!

their best meals are fish and chips, they do serve fried chicken, sausages and pies as well. they are a bit tight on the tomato sauce only giving one sachet with each meal.

Fish didn't taste that fresh and have had better, chips was ok, could have been cooked a bit more. I ate the food but prob wouldn't eat there again

Tasty food as always....just pop in and go for a special. You won't be disappointed! Good price and great staff! :)

The food here is very delicious and I cannot believe how cheap it is! Been going here for a while and it hasn't let me down yet!

The fish was OK, but certainly nothing great. The chips were also OK but I wouldn't say they were proper chip shop chips and tasted more like oven chips. The spicy mushroom was very spicy but not crispy but the breadcrumbs were mushy which was a bit off putting. I wouldn't go out of my way to get food from here again. Average at best A shame there are no good fish shops in the whole area

I've been going to this chippy since the age of 10. Always loved the chicken and cod. Best classic chip shop around this area. Fast service and quality food. Also clean eat-in area. I know this shop as Crispy Cod, and still call it that. Plenty of good memories there. Recommended to anyone! And big up my man Yunus! (Chief cashier and supervisor)

Tasty chips, fresh fish with not too heavy batter, good mushy peas - and all at a reasonable price. Definitely a thumbs up from me :)

Le Fish baigne dans l'huile ainsi que les frites !! Les wraps sont secs et les nuggets passables !!! Trop cher pour ce que sait !

Frankly I've had worse fish and chips in posh restaurants and paid four times the price! Fantastic batter, perfectly cooked fish, lovely chips and perfect onion rings. The best place to get fish and chips in the local area.

I went there on the advice of Sofia, receptionist at the Chelsea Guest House where my Godson and I were staying. I don't eat fish because of allergy, so we had each a half-chicken with chips : yummy !!!

No frills fish and chips. Pure and simple. Counter service, large tea in paper cups but real plates and cutlery for the food. No range - just cod but neatly cooked and tasty enough. Chips were superb. This is real street in a part of London where angels fear to tread and all the better for that.
