Thai O'CHA Restaurant in Tower Hamlets

I visited Thai O'CHA with friends for dinner and was thoroughly impressed, not just with the food but also with the outstanding service. We ordered the Tiger Cry (beef steak), Pad Se-ew, and chicken satay for starters. My steak was cooked to perfection—soft, tender, and exactly as I ordered it, medium rare. The flavors were amazing, and the service by Oscar was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommended!

Very nice Thai restaurant located on Brick Lane. We rocked up at lunchtime on a Sunday without a reservation, but thankfully, there was plenty of availability. We ordered the veg Thai green curry with coconut rice for our main accompanied by some veg tempura and a couple of bottles of Singha beer. The food was delicious, and we got a good table by the window to watch the world go by.

Lovely food, very tasty and did set vegetarian for two and food was plentiful and delicious. Service very good. Would go again.

A very lucky find. At the top of Brick Lane and slightly distanced from the other restaurants. Have been a few times. It's not overcrowded, but don't be fooled or put off. It's a terrific Thai restaurant, and I haven't been disappointed! Great value, service, and lovely food.

TLDR: This place is has amazing food, even better service. Check it out!!! If there were more stars to give Thai O'CHA would get them, no question. My partner and I found this place a couple of years ago and now always return here anytime we're back in London. We're working our way through the entire menu and every dish is as good as the last, if not better (duck in oyster sauce or drunken beef are personal favourites, give them a try). But the main reason we keep coming back is the service, more specifically Emma. She always greets us (and everyone else) with a smile and is one of the most kind and diligent people we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. So make sure you check this place out, you won't be disappointed.

Needed a last minute dining option and thankfully Thai ocha was available, the hospitality was outstanding with satisfying customer service, they didn't let me down for one second, providing me with assistance and recommendation with their menu to which the lamb shank and pad Thai is what I will be returning back for again very soon, the taste was authentic and hit every taste bud, giving a sizzling and delicious outcome after each bite, what topped it off for me and my family was the right usage of vegetables used in each dish. Bear in mind this was a last minute meal planned for my sister and her family who came from abroad to visit London for a few days, I can happily say they enjoyed this moment of experiencing authentic thai food, to which they said they would visit this place again before they fly out as well as returning back here next time they visit London (including myself for sure!)

Food was really good! Would defo go back but the service was quite slow given it was a saturday. Not too busy when we arrived.

Came here with my fiance, for the very first time, didn't know what to expect but I was really surprised with the quality of the food and the ambiance, the staff where friendly and very understanding to a newbie like my amazing experience.

Food was really delicious! We enjoyed the Tom Yum soup…great level of spice. Green curry and chicken pad Thai were also very tasty! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for good Thai food in London!

Dinner with friends in this Thai restaurant in Brick Lane. 4 starters, 2 first courses, 2 fish salads, 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine for €160... high price (in my opinion), service that could be improved... bringing glasses of already poured wine is not pleasant... the truth The problem was the salads, the chilli was too intrusive and covered the taste of everything else!

Imran was amazing! Food was superb, recommend grilled squid.

Went here for a work meal and was able to order freely. We ordered a large selection of starters and mains. The prawn tempura was worse than the frozen offering from Tescos. Overcooked and far from fresh. We ordered several portions of Thai calamari, thinking the dish would be similar to Busaba's similarly named items, but we received thin strips of overcooked calamari covered in breadcrumbs. For my main, i ordered the house rice and a tiger prawn curry. It was obvious to me that the sauce was cooked separately from the protein and just poured on top prior to serving. They also didn't have Thai iced coffee/tea on their menu, which was surprising. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

This restaurant is one of my favourite been there few times really tasty and flavourable food you could taste in the hearts of East London, customer service is on point good vibe to be in whilst enjoying the food and also the price is reasonable would recommend if anyone is craving Thai food to visit this place dobt knock it till you try it. I feel a little mislead from this restaurant’s ratings and reviews. Food was alright, nothing extraordinary though or remarkable. Possibly it would be a good “takeaway” but not a nice restaurant to go and have dinner at and want to return. Upon arrival I informed the waitress that I am intolerant to garlic and asked if I can have the broccoli and mushroom side dish with the (garlic) sauce aside. Then I have been told they cannot make it as they roast the veggies and the sauce together - surely there are alternatives to serve roasted vegetables. They were zero accommodating to my intolerance and didn’t advice me if any of the food that I ordered contained any garlic. We were a group of four people and our mains arrived at completely different times and some of the dishes even were wrong. We had to ask for water again and again (as we were served water in some small glasses). During our meal we ordered a second bottle of wine, different red wine to what we were already drinking and we were just waiting passed the bottle - no new glasses no question if we want to taste the wine or to be served. They just left a bottle on our table. Then towards the end of our meal I went to the toilet, only to return to the table and see that all plates have been cleaned up from the table but mine - surely it’s not polite but even if I wanted to continue eating my dinner I was made feel uncomfortable being the only person with a plate. All in all I had the experience was subpar, I only enjoyed my time there as I was amongst good friends and don’t think I would be returning back.

Amazing food and service! Oscar was so kind and took good care of our group, being mindful of our dietary requirements and efficient with the service. The food was delicious and tastes better than many Thai places I’ve tried. Really recommend this place. Definitely coming back soon!

I had two vegetarian options which were fresh and delicious. However I would love to see more, as well as some vegan alternatives. The wine was suitably chilled and of good quality.

My friend and I were really looking forward to trying a good Thai restaurant. Unfortunately, the service was a huge disappointment. Despite the restaurant being hardly busy we struggled flag down a waitress for a glass of water. We were really shocked and appalled by Ozzie's behaviour at the till. He was rude and condescending when I wanted to split my bill but include one dish in full. As we were figuring out the total, he kept snapping at us, which ruined our evening. We had spent a considerable amount of money here too and he didn't even say thank you at the end. It's a shame since we really enjoyed our meal and had planned to visit again during the week. That said, we did not feel welcome and will definitely not be returning.

Very good food and very good service i like this restaurant

The food did not have the typical Thai flavors I know and love, making it a bit of a letdown. The service was decent. The decor and ambiance had an industrial charm.

I came here for dinner with the kids. Wasn’t sure how i’d find the food as I don’t usually venture outside of my comfort zone to try different cuisines. However the food was lovely and full of flavour here. The staff were very attentive and friendly, especially Emma who served us today. I would recommend the Pad Kee Mao and the soups Tom Yum and Tom Kha which were packed full of flavour, also try the Som Tum which was nice and spicy. For dessert I would recommend the Mango Sticky Rice which went down well with all of us.

Went with friends on recommendation and would definitely go again. The food and service was perfect. We ordered Chu Chee Fish, Papaya Salad and Vegetables Green Curry with rice. All was delicious and just the right spice for us all 🙏🏼🥰

I’m so impressed by this restaurant. I hardly ever post reviews but this was worth it . Staff were great, service was amazing. Food came so quickly and was still hot. Portions sizes were great. Me and my partner love Thai food and I can comfortably say this is one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to. It was my partners birthday and they made it so special. I’m even going to post it on my social media pages. We will definitely be back. I’m going to be dreaming about the pad Thai 😍

Delicious dinner and very happy with service

Great Thai spot in Brick Lane, cozy interior with a modern look. The service was incredible, Emma, treated us so well and was very accommodating. The food, wow, no complaints here. Ordered the Tom yum soup which was perfectly spicy and sour. The crying tyger was a huge portion for the price and was cooked to a wonderful medium rare (Emma asked how we wanted it cooked). The chicken satay was also delicious and came with 4 sticks. The egg fried rice was seasoned really well and paired well with the steak and squid dish. Lastly, the pad Thai was full of flavor, not dry and was the best noodle entree! Would def recommend and will be back on the next trip to London.

Discovered this gem of a place with a friend who has more experience than me ordering Thai food. Our server Emma was very pleasant and had a smile on her face throughout the whole meal. We ordered quite a few things and we couldn’t finish but my highlights were the ‘Tiger Cry’ beef steak (at £14.95, you won’t find tastier beef anywhere) paired with a spicy herby sauce (we ordered ours rare and was perfectly cooked) and the Tom Yum soup which is (mildly) spicy and sour. The Pad Thai was also delicious and well prepared. This is one of the few places where you can enjoy a delicious meal and not feel rushed throughout. Would return and recommend to friends 👍🏻

Very nice restaurant with good food! We had two curry’s in green and red … both not that hot, so space for more bumbs! The NZ Sauvignon Blanc was excellent as well as the service!

Overall very positive experience! We had the Red Curry, Pad See Ew and Spring Rolls and enjoyed all the dishes. My personal favourite was the fact that all dishes included a reasonable amount and selection of vegetables, which isn't always common across London. While the prices were very reasonable, I found the portion of sticky rice on the smaller side while being a little pricy. The staff was very friendly and attentive, making it an overall quick, easy and enjoyable experience (no chasing the staff to pay the bill, etc). We would definitely come back!

We’ve had a dinner with a group of 35 people at Thai O’CHA in January of this year. Our group loved the Thai food. Friendly and quick service. I would sure recommend this restaurant to other companies who are looking for a group diner to a max of 50 people.

First time experience food was amazing the Thai Green Curry was spot on with crunchy vegetables the portion sizes were also very decent I would highly recommend the place very convenient to get to and the staff were very friendly and we were well looked after !

The food didnt taste bad, service was standard and the atmosphere was decent. However, after eating the food i felt sick and was bed ridden for a few days and constantly in and out of the toilet. I would absolutely not recommend this place. I felt as if my body was unable to move and i lost my appetite for maybe the next 3-4 days or so. It got so bad that i had to go a doctor just to make sure i was okay.

Strolling around bricklane found a gem of a restaurant, Ate pad ta kri with satay gai and tempura amazing traditional flavours. Highly recommended. The servers were quite accommodating and made sure our needs were met.

Feels like heaven in your mouth!! Was looking for some genuine Asian food after having been in the UK for 3 months. Me and my friend came across Thai O'Cha, while taking a leisurely stroll around Brick Lane and was pleasantly surprised by the quick service, brilliant food and nice wine selections. We first went for a mixed starter of 5 items spanning veg, fish pork and chicken. Each item was unique in its own. For the main course, the kind and helpful lady suggested that we go for a thick rice noodle in veggies over a thin noodle dish, which would suit our spice-loving tastebuds. Added to this was a Chicken in Green Thai curry as a side. The combination can only be described as heavenly. I would totally recommend people to try out Thai O'Cha to satiate your taste buds while your eyes feast on the brilliant display of art work on the Brick Lane.

Nice service and tasty food. yesterday we ordered pad see ew and drunken duck with my friend as well as stay chicken, however, today we are both not feeling too well. We think we might have gotten food poisoning

I am in London since August. As an Indian I found most of the food in the city is pale. But I tried this Thai restaurant two days back, and I loved the food. It has all the traditional Thai flavor. We ordered Green Thai curry and Pad Thai noodles along with some starter. Trust me the ambience, the food and the staff all are really good. If you are searching for some good food and have really good taste bud please visit this restaurant and also enjoy the color of brick lane.

Dependable , authentic Thai on Brick Lane. Som tam, Crying Tiger, Tamarind Fish and Pad See Ew are excellent. I would avoid the Pad Thai though which uses ketchup instead od Tamarind water.

AVOID. Lunch with friends and their children at 1330 Saturday 11th Nov. Three of us and a 3 year old all had prawn dishes. 24 - 48 hours later all of us are violently sick. Projectile vomiting and churning stomachs. I hope the lady in her 80s who came in after us didn't have the prawns. Do not visit. After 3 days in bed my stomach is still not right. Is there a way to give zero stars?

I'm not happy as my wife and girlfriends went here on Sat with kids and are now all sick. All ate prawn dishes at around 1:30. That is three women and one young child with food poisoning. One ate prawn penang. Two had prawn pad thai and the little one had prawn rice. Apparently there was an elderly woman in the restaurant eating at the same time. Really hope she didn't eat prawn/ is okay.
