Have visited Oak Leaf Tearooms many times. Started by a manager, cook and team members supported by volunteers, it is a wonderful experience. The menu has some great snacks and the specials board always has interesting options the scones and cakes, all made in their own kitchen are superb, delicious and top quality. Meals served between 12.00 and 2.00 are freshly prepared to order and the wait is well worthwhile. The soul of the day is always tasty and the cheese scone that accompanies it is almost a meal itself. The salads, sandwiches, baked potatoes and other snacks are lovely. The atmosphere is warm and friendly from team members and volunteers alike.

Tried the parsnip and apple soup with cheese scones that melted in your mouth - very Moreish!. We finished with chocolate cheesecake and cream which likewise was excellent. Service is slow but well worth waiting for and all in a good cause.

We called in with the children for a second breakfast. The service was quick and friendly. Bacon cooked to perfection and lovely fresh bread. Plenty of home made cakes and the carrot cake in particular looked delicious. There is a lovely outside seating area on the decking. Everywhere is spotless. We also bought some eggs straight from the farm. Cafetière of coffee was enough for 4 cups and was delicious. Children loved it and we had a walk around afterwards to look at the animals.

Called in for a coffee and couldn't resist a bacon sandwich which was very tasty. Lovely location and also a great project to support in our community. The tea room itself is very nicely laid out and the staff are all very friendly. A good selection of home made cakes and we picked up eggs which had literally just been collected from the chickens in the field next door. Can't get much fresher than that!

We went for afternoon tea as our Christmas outing. Wow loads of lovely sandwiches smashing flavours. Scones we fab soft texture and so tasty. The cakes were wonderful too much for us to eat. We took home nearly as many as we ate.also as a special treat chocolate dipped strawberries. Heaven. We love the ethos at Oak Tree everyone has a positive attitude based on what a person can do rather than areas where they struggle. We love this place xx

Driving along the M6 on our way to a University Open Day I gave my daughter a map, phone with internet access and the job of finding us somewhere nice to stop for breakfast. She liked the name and it had good reviews so we came off and headed to Hilderstone. We walked through the farm, stepping over the the chickens and into the tea room to the smell of freshly baked scones. Everything about the visit was perfect. It was warm and clean with really friendly and welcoming staff. The bacon sandwich was on beautifully fresh bread and served with its own little pot of sauce and the coffee was strong, good quality and served with the choice of milk or cream. If we lived nearer we'd be here every week.

this place has become a a family favourite as it is a lovely tearoom offering fab cakes, cream teas and light lunches. The surroundings are lovely too, great for little children who like looking at farm animals. The service that they offer and the purpose of the farm is a cause that I feel deserves some attention. All the staff are attentive and pleasant and the tearoom itself is clean and fresh. the cakes are really tasty worth buying a piece to take home.

Lovely tearoom out in the sticks. Unassuming from the outside, inside it's cosy, friendly and relaxed when you get inside.Had lunch there a few times and it has been excellent each time. All the food is home cooked, they sell sandwiches, soup and a few hot "specials". Oh, and cakes - definitely cakes! The food is fresh and full of flavour, portions good and excellent value.A real community feel to the place too, very welcoming.Keep up the excellent work!

One of my favourite places for lunch or afternoon tea. This tea room is part of Oak Tree Farm Rural Project which provides employment for adults with learning difficulties. As a family we have visited many times, my son particularly loves the homemade cakes, for an 18 year old to ask to go when we want a quick snack or a special tea visit says it all. The food is fab, great soups, sandwiches, scones and cakes all made with ingredients from the farm. The young adults who work there are great, as are the ladies who support them. Excellent food, service and value, we will continue to visit for hopefully many years to come.Lunch today was a homemade leek and potato bake with ham - fantastic. Cake taken home for later, couldn't eat any more at lunch but the cakes are too good to turn down.

This a great place for the whole family to eat and enjoy the company of the team members who prepare and serve the foods and drinks. It offers freshly prepared food, some grown on the farm and is excellent value, proceeds go to upkeep of the farm project that accommodates people with learning difficulties.

A fantastic tearoom/coffee shop at Oak Tree Farm Rural Project, centre for people with learning disabilities. We took mother-in-law to buy some plants (as good a quality as Garden Centres but less money) and stopped for lunch in the tearoom. It was so good - the quality and quantity - we had pudding as well. Service was with a smile, there was nothing to fault other than the wind was a little too cool to sit out on the terrace which has a lovely view. It was not busy I can only assume not enough people know about this lovely place which is a little off the beaten track. Great place for a coffee or afternoon tea, you can look round the gardens, see the small animals and buy plants and pottery made by the trainees.

Bought a number of bacon sandwiches to take away. Worst bacon I’ve had. Lumpy, rubbery and fatty. £3 a go too! Terrible food quality.
