Great food - service was so-so - nice atmosphere!

Really wonderful local restaurant. We often get a take away from here but today’s lunch (we sat in the restaurant) was delicious!

Things Nuro could consider improving for restaurant guests: - add soft furnishings to the restaurant to reduce the harsh acoustics - be quicker to take orders and serve food - prioritise restaurant guests alongside take away orders - ask customers how their food is shortly after serving it - ask the customer if there was a problem if food is barely touched when clearing and offer to resolve any issues I wouldn't recommend their falafel dish. My friends who had meat dishes looked like theirs were better although some portion sizes were unexpectedly small.

I have to say this is the best kebab you can ever get. I have worked all over and tried many many places and nowhere comes even close. Do yourself a favour and head to Nuros

Yummy, good portion and fast service

We always order the same food and are always so happy with the quality and taste….and the very high consistency. From the rice to the Chicken Shish to the tabbouleh to the patlican and the salad which comes with the Shish it’s all amazing. Really great examples of a great cuisine and two thumbs up from us.

I had delivery the chicken shish is superb was a little disappointed about the amount of salad but beef tomatoes is a definite plus.The garlic sauce best in town and the chili sauce for me so good but I do like spicy. Nuro is worth the money bon appetite

Just wondering around Guildford after a run and spotted Nuro for some lunch! Food: 6/10 Food was fairly bland and quite mediocre for expectations of Turkish cuisine! Had the Dolma to start off with which had a nice refreshing lemony vibe but beyond this, the Iskender and Chicken Shish were okay at best Service: 7/10 A little too slow and quite a delivery oriented restaurant. Would recommend maybe takeaway instead of earing in Price: 8/10 roughly £32 for two people was enough to be filling enough

The food made me throw up the same night.

Usually the best kebab in the area. The takeaway was very busy, as usual on a Saturday night. It took a while for our order and, when we got home, no fries were in the bag, something we had paid for. It was disappointing, especially as it was my birthday.

One of best kebab restaurants in Surrey. Fresh home made doner, amazing sauces, great value & actually authentic Turkish. You can tell they make everything in house. Excellent service also

Not been here in over 5 years, made to feel welcome straight away, food here has always been fantastic these guys just never miss when it comes to great tasting well prepared food. The place is always spotless, the chefs are always clean and well presented, One of the few remaining gems in Guildford that highly recommend. Whether you having a meal in the restaurant or buying take away you will love your meal. Thanks for a wonderful evening

One of my favourite place for kebabs. I have been going there for years now and never disappointed. The service, food and atmosphere, everything is superb.

I enjoy going to this Nuro restaurant regularly for their kebabs. The food tastes good and well presented. However, the portion sizes are a bit small; for example the attached picture is a large Lamb Doner but seems closer to a regular size. The service can be slow when it's busy, but the staff is friendly and generally knows the menu well. While the dine-in prices are a bit high, the take-away prices are reasonable. It's not an extraordinary place, but it's decent for Turkish kebabs.

Lovely restaurant with surprisingly healthy food for a kebab shop.

It's hard to underestimate the impact, that Nuro Kebab left on my life and food preferences. Spend some good years is Guilford in 2008-12, whilst studying at Surrey, and, throughout these years, Nuro was the place to be and enjoy some of the highest quality and tasteful meats. The wonderful, juicy aroma and the tenderness of the meat is unforgettable. Great to know that, when 12 years after I left UK, you guys are still doing great. We will surely meet again, my friends, we'll I can promise you that!

The food is nice. Service is good. However, food is overpriced for the portion size. They charge 10% service charge without telling us in advance, which I think is illegal without prior notification. Would recommend takeaway rather than dine in

Really disappointed, the staff are just so lazy. We ordered on a Friday night and you could wait or you could just do, what you are paid to do. Let down so badly by this organisation, just go to the meat the Greek, it is cheaper, and actually has a level of service. Do yourself a favour and don’t bother.

16 quid for a bit of chicken and veg sod that I should of gone to the van round the corner for better value

Orhan and family are an amazing team, the food with either eat in (when it's allowed) or takeaway is always incredible, has been our go to kebab house for years.

Best value restaurant in Guildford hands down. For decades this place has been serving authentic fresh Turkish food and never disappoints. Love the Guildford Special and for the price it is simply amazing. In town centres full of poor quality food chain restaurants it's great that there still are a few great independent restaurants like this. Their home made Lamb Doner is best in UK in my humble opinion. Great meze selection also

Great traditional Turkish food, 👌 could benefit from wifi as the 4g signal is not great. Mix doner wrap is my favourite, great family business.

The portions are small (4x small pieces or chicken and 4x small pieces of lamb) on a large mixed shish. It took foreever for our food to arrive (30-mins), which for a simple grilled meat and burger meal is too long. This place used to be great, but I’m not sure how many of the previous reviewers would still be impressed. I don't think the workers care too much if I'm honest. No-one smiles, no-one says hello or goodbye etc.

Nuro’s was absolutely amazing 10 years ago. The portion has decreased. The price has increased. The taste is just not the same and it’s not worth the price to be frank. There was barely any meat in the donner and far too much onions which overpowered the taste of the meat. The portion sizes are just deplorable. Don’t ruin Nuro’s!!

Recommended if you’re looking for a good restaurant (food quantity wise) to dine out in Guildford.

Simply the best kebab shop in Guildford. Have been coming here for over 15 years always a well presented, clean restaurant producing delicious, good portion sizes of high quality food from friendly staff. Well worth it even if available on-street parking can be hard to find.

Great middle eastern food the doner and hummus is amazing. Moderately good prices always friendly staff

Lovely Dona and shish. Salad needs more onions, but it is still tasty, especially the cabbage. Good job, we have asked for pita bread to be packed separately as last time it was drained in sauce and got all mushy.

First class food and atmosphere

No need to change a good thing. The quality of food and friendliness of staff was a good as ever.

We stick to Woodbridge Hill kebab centre in future, donor meat tasted & looked like lunchtime leftovers & was burnt, tasteless & cold, chilli sauce tasteless, fries were spot on as was the Uber eats delivery, so for £47.00 for 2 people 1 large donor & 1 medium doner with a sheesh wrap & chips, not very nice

Best kebab in South East England!

This is the best place to go to for a quality kebab in not just Guildford but for miles around, never been let down by this place in all the years it's been open and I've eaten kebabs all over the country and it's still my favourite.

Sit down in the restaurant for some great quality Turkish food served quick. A good selection of drinks and starters compliment the main dishes you're familiar with.

Great food, friendly service served in a relaxed atmosphere. Small venue adds to the friendly vibe. Never had a bad meal there..

I used to love the vegetarian hummus and falafel wrap. The other day I ordered after one year to realise that the recipe has changed and they don’t add hummus anymore. So disappointed as it was the falafel in town I liked.

Service is terrible. Especially if you are a turkish speaker.

Unfortunately. The taste is good but the service is terrible. You ask for chicken wrap but they give you another thing that you did not ask for. It's the second time we've faced something like this. We believe that they do it on purpose. Unfortunately we will not visit them again. There are better places for doner wraps.

Love Nuro. Delicious food both eating in and takeaway. Chicken Shish is knockout.

Chicken donor tasted like cat food

As a Turkish guy, I don’t go to Turkish restaurants abroad usually but Nuro owners did a very good job to balance menu and service design for both take away and sitting customers… the ambiance and playlist was awesome. Of course food was delicious. They even carry a stock of raki 🙏🏼 I will definitely be back whenever I am in town…

Never had a bad meal either take away or dining in. Love this place.

I've been going here for 20 years. By far my favorite kebab house in Guildford. Fast, friendly, and great food. Be sure to try the chicken doner meat.

Chicken Doner rap was with 90% of salad and 10% of meat not very nice when you come back home hungry open your good and there is no meat I'm not vegetarian, and I ordered chicken wrap ,and this is not a first time very disappointed.

The chicken wrap donner was delicious but I tried the baklava and I didn't like it, I wish they would make homemade baklava.

I have been to Nuro many times now and have had many different Kababs there. I can honestly say, that these Kababs are the BEST I have ever had in my life. Good work Peace and love

Food portions have gone down by half yet the prices have gone up!! Good food but far to overpriced for the size of a meal. Shame as it used to be fairly priced and used to go weekly but won’t go again as the owner was rude when I questioned him about the portion sizes.

WOW! the best Kebab I have ever had. I ordered the Chicken Shish Wrap. It was so tasty, fresh and delicious. I liked that they used cardboard box packaging instead of polystyrene. I will definitely be ordering from them again. Thank you for my dinner! :)

The food here is excellent, but I found it expensive with small portions this evening which was disappointing. It was £40 for 2 main meals, a portion of chips and two soft drinks which seemed excessive, especially as the portions were small.

Just picked up fries with cheese and garlic sauce. No garlic sauce not so ever. Paid £4.20.

We used to get kebab from here all the time as the lamb doner was the best we ever tasted. Nice large pieces of meat with no fat 'ladders' and amazingly seasoned. Recently (last 3 or 4 times) in the past year the meat seems to be very different and lots of fat and i can only describe as 'bitty'. Can only assume something has changed.... :-(
