girls weekend, we fancied trying something different and we are so glad we did. Fabulous flavour and friendly service. Not the quickest but I personally don't mind waiting for good food. Had satay the best I have ever tasted. Honey chicken , the broth that came with this was such a nice light touch. Flavors all the way bang on.

The place was quite when we got there, we didnt let this put us off due 2 of us eating here in the past.. After waiting nearly 30 min for our food, it started to come out slowly and pathetic, with straggly pieces of chicken ( not enough to feed my cat), my sister food was too salty and tasted of fish food ( to much fish paste, was probably used) after asking to exchange her food, they refused to take any feedback from our concerns and the it back, the food came out nearly 10min apart from the first dish... no love was put into this cookin!!! I would not recommend this place 😤

Best choice for Indonesians in Manchester as the taste of the meals is very similar to Indonesian meals. The waiters are very friendly and can speak Bahasa Indonesia very well. I recommend Roti Canai set with Gulai Kawah as it is my favourite meal.

Went here with friends not knowing what to expect as we had never had Malaysian food before. We were greeted with smiles and had some of the dishes explained to us so that we could make some choices for our dinner. I went yesterday with a friend for her birthday. When we walked in it smelt like poo. I know Malays use shrimp paste and dried fish but the smell was awful. We went else where. Management get your place sorted! The smell was so disgusting my guest almost puked in your doorway! Avoid because only God knows what the kitchen and staff hygiene levels are like!!!

So, as I walked in I noticed there was 3 tables of people seated. 1 literally left as I got there and the remaining two had problems. The couple were constantly ignored and shrugged off, they had complaints about the taste of their food and had concerns on whether the meat was cooked. They also complained about the wait times! I spoke to a man + his mother about the food and they recommended a dish but also warned me of the wait times! The other table took back their plates as they were dirty. My meal took around 30/45 minutes to come, I ordered starters which I assumed were going to arrive immediately and my mains. I was excited as it was a lamb dish and you cannot go wrong with lamb dishes! However, my dish was so bland. There was NO umph. It just lacked flavour. I ordered chicken spring rolls and received veggie spring rolls, which I told the waiter about and he insisted it was the same price anyways. I only ate 1 out of two portions, he told me it would take 30/40 mins to make 3 fresh chicken spring rolls. I spent a total of £24.40 and I wouldn’t recommend :) Popla chicken = Spring rolls - £4 for a portion of 3 (says a different price on the menu) Portion of 3 Somosas = £3 Nasi goreng Kambling = £14.90 + an fried egg = £1 Can of Fanta = £1.50 * also, I know it’s hot but the air conditioning was on FULL blast so the restaurant was very cold!

Very good service from the waiters. The food is pretty good. The fried chicken has a lovely coating and is very crispy with very juicy meat underneath. The coconut rice is fragrant with coconut but also it is not sticky. A very interesting texture I don't usually have. The sambal taste amazing. Lovely flavours of the anchovies. The chicken satay was the best I had so far compared to the supermarket stuff. Proper char and the peanut sauce taste great. I'm really happy that the sambal was not spicy not because I can't tolerate spice but it's because I can taste the flavours. Not a criticism but the price is very high. So if you got the money, go for it.

The waiters are very nice but the food is terrible. So disappointed. The Mee Goreng was mushy and bland with virtually no chicken. The noodles were bloated soft and over cooked, like tinned spaghetti. Overall i didnt really get that ‘mee goreng’ flavour and the oil used was bad. The chicken satay was ok, but the sauce was just bland and too sweet. No pea-nutty depth of flavour. Will not go again. No wonder the place is often deserted.

I really enjoyed the Tom Yam soup with the noodles. It was amazing. I would’ve gave 5 stars but the staff weren’t very attentive, a little smile would’ve been nice. I’ve been to Malaysia before and the people over there are super friendly and kind but the guy here wasn’t the nicest. Didn’t even come up to us when we first came in, didn’t ask us if we wanted to order, no thank you when we paid too. Customer service wasn’t the best, really need to work on how to communicate with customers. Although the seating area was nice and clean, I visited the loo and walked straight out, it was very unsanitary. Staff should regularly check these facilities and keep it clean, especially when people want to use prayer rooms, not a good impression!

Food here was exceptional, really authentic and we enjoyed it, the only thing I would say is if the staff cracked a smile lol, but couldn’t fault the service per se, just didn’t feel that welcomed and aura felt a bit off, but other than that, the food was exceptional, we really enjoyed it 👌🏼

Authentic Malaysian food at good price. Its Halal. The staff is very nice and friendly. When we arrived their kitchen was closed, but they specially opened it for us. So very nice of them. Restaurant is very clean, although could do with a better deco. Very skilled chefs, cooking tasty food is very reasonable time. They won't make you wait for your food, like many others do. Drinks are all very tasty and healthy, made from mainly fruit juices. Available both hot and cold, specially the coffee. We had 9 dishes and many drinks and it cost us around a 100 quid. Very happy and will definitely go again.

Worst food and worst customer service. Been here for buffet, ask 25 per person. And only had one main course and 2 starter and 1 pudding for 25 pounds. In the main course they had chicken and rice, when we ask for chicken when the buffet tray is empty. Customers didn't refill it. Can't give a start but giving. Worst restaurants that I have been in my life.

Very authentic and tasty food, most customer here are malaysian. We had nasi Goreng Kampung (Malay style fried rice), Bihun Sup seafood(noodles in spiced soup), chicken satay, Ayam Sup with rice and Roti Pisang (banana pancakes) also 2 drinks. £49 for 2 people which is very reasonable price. The only thing is we waited for nearly 30 minutes to get our food and the staff only speak very limited English.

The price was considered alright for the portion. We ordered Nasi Goreng Daging Merah, Cha Kuey Teow, Bihun Goreng and Sagu Berkuah for dessert. Nasi goreng was fine, but the fried noodles were on the salty side. The dessert was good but could be better by reducing the palm sugar, as it was a little too sweet. Teh tarik is a must here. Would definitely come again for the Malaysian authentic cuisine.

Sadly I won’t be back here again. The service is slow, waited so long to order when it wasn’t busy and to receive food (about an hour). The food was also sadly disappointing, I only had 10% of what I ordered - despite asking which is the best out of some that I picked out. Sorry Nur Malaysia.

Went there for breakfast and the food was wonderful. Friendly and welcoming staff that look after you really well. Will definitely go back.

Cheap and cheerful. Portion size was fantastic so can't fault it there. The taste however could have been better. The fried chicken in the Nasi Lemak was nice but the sambal let it down, for some reason it tasted very tomatoey and was not very spicy. The Ketayap was very nice though, it was probably the best dish I ordered.

Have been a few times before but today will be my last. I liked the roti dishes (roti telur and roti pisang especially) and the noodle dishes (kuey teow kungfu) Service has always been slow, even when there were 1-2 other tables occupied, but today was unacceptable. Came for lunch with only 2 other tables occupied. Waited 10mins to be given the menu then waited to order. While waiting for another 10mins, a group of 3 Malay guys came in and sat near the front desk, yet the waiter took their order almost immediately. We left as if they don't respect their customers, then they don't deserve our custom. Wouldn't recommend to anyone 👎

Was really looking forward to trying this place but left disappointed, didn't get the taste of home that I crave. Ordered my favourite Mee Kari but it was bland. Along with the noodles only had a few bits of chicken, 1 egg and a few chunks of veg...where were the tofu puffs, prawns or even fish cakes. Tasted like it was made from a packet (Maggi?) and no herbs or lime. 😭 Beef in the rendang was hard and chewy like roast beef slices - didn't have the delicious slow cooked taste. Roti Canai was OK but curry tasted from a packet again. Disappointed :(

Tasty Malaysian food in Rusholme, Manchester Good value for money. #Curry mile Our quest to explore different cuisine on the Curry mile led us to Nur Malaysia. I believe it is a franchise and has a branch in London as well. Brown and white interiors with electric blue lights on the false ceiling, this restaurant does give snazzy vibes. What I really liked about the restaurant was the leather bound menu book with laminated pages which prevents you from being bamboozled with the name alone by giving a brief description of the food with a picture alongside. It saved us the task of googling or asking what was in the meal and in a way we knew what to expect. Hence proving, a picture is worth a thousand words. We ordered the ketayap that was in their appetiser section, but as it was being freshly prepared, we had it as dessert, which worked brilliantly. For the uninitiated, these green soft pancakes are grated coconut and palm sugar filled mixture wrapped in pandan flavoured crepes. Sweet, lip smacking. Murtabak Daging was our appetizer which is mince, potato, celery, onion & egg filling in pastry. Flavourful, almost like a Malaysian take on samosa/pie. Mee Goreng Mamak Ayam was our main course. We were intrigued by Mamak style, not knowing what it was, we went for it and it tasted very similar to the Indianised Chinese food. It tasted good but was not the flavour we were expecting. At the end of our meal we asked the server what Mamak meant, he explained that it was a version of Malaysian cuisine which was modified by the immigrant Indian community settled there. Well, that explains it. The entire world & its cuisine seems connected. Good portion size - value for money, we will be visiting Nur Malaysia again to explore their rice & curry. Recommended!

Had Rendang beef, it was delicious. The lychee drink was excellent with actual whole lychees inside which you can eat. It was a nice touch. Would highly recommend this place.

This is a restaurant me and my partner have reverted to again and again. So when we wanted to try eating out again after nearly 2 years of lockdown and restrictions it was the first place we thought of trying. The food and service was impeccable and could not fault our experience. Although we took our own sanitiser, they had supplied us with some too,. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and felt very safe after the current pandemic. Guests were seated with fair distance between them and as we had booked ahead they had reserved our table for us. We had a Nasi, Noodles and rot canai for our main/starters and ended it with their delicious coconut filled pandan pancakes. Cannot wait to visit again. Keep up the great work, we are lucky to have such an amazing establishment among us!

This was my first visit to try Malaysian food prepared by this restaurant... *service was fast, young man serving us was polite . * atmosphere was pleasant *food .. very disappointed with sate and kuah kacang.. sate was COLD and kua kacang was "scraped "from the bottom of a burn pot, no rice cubes served either with visibly burned and tasteless sauce. very disappointing . Laksa penang was just OK , edible. I would go there again to give them a chance maybe this was just "my luck" to try again some other dishes available but definitely needing higher quality control prior to serving customers something that is not edible.
