Number One Kitchen in Central Bedfordshire

My first experience of this restaurant, my husband’s second. The staff are charming, helpful, accommodating and very polite. The food is so tasty and the hot mezze with all its flavours was so yummy. Didn’t have a main course as so much in the mezze, but look forward to returning for this. We also had a glass of Turkish wine which was delicious. Anita

Booked over the Internet in December and arrived at our alloted time only to find that the booking was not registered! However, Ahmed was very accommodating and showed us to our table . From the minute we arrived until we left , the attention we received was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was quick to arrive and the kitchen was open so you could see everything cooked . The food was superb . A special mention for Ahmed and Sophia, who looked after us all evening . I recommend very highly!!!!!

FOOD - 5⭐️ The food was amazing, everything was tasty and delicious- and for someone who lived in turkey for 7 years it tasted the exact same. The portion sizing was quite big and I could have done with less chips with the lamb chops. SERVICE -4⭐️ we went on a Friday and it got quite busy. We had a lovely blonde English girl serving us who was very social and polite alongside making us feel very welcome here and not rushing us. Alongside her serving was a young girl lad who was again a polite chappy who had all the same qualities as her. I had to knock a star off of the service tho due to the amount of time the manager spent outside smoking. We were in for no long than an hour and 1/2 and he must of been outside 3 or 4 times whilst the young waiters were left to do everything. When he came in the subtle smell of smoke lingered too which slightly put us off. We also always tip in cash for the staff who served us the most to keep for themself and we saw them put in all in a pot so the main waitress/ waiter probably didn’t get they exact tip from us which was very disappointing due to them doing such a good job. When we come back to leighton- we will be sure to return!

Amazing lunch deal! The girl with the dark very long hair was so lovely! She was very attentive and looked after us so well. She was very polite and for a busy lunch time with market day she did not stop! High praises to her. The food was incredible like always and so well presented well done Chefs !

First time visiting the place tonight for a mid week date night with the wife. We had a few cocktails and 5 mezes to share. There was so much. Service was really good and friendly. They had a new young lad on his first shift and the boss was so kind and patient with him. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and we were made to feel like guests of honour. Very reasonably priced and the best Turkish food I've ever had. Intact, best meal I've had in a restaurant for as long as I can remember. Definitely our new local.

I chose this place because I had read reviews on TripAdvisor. The reviews were not wrong! It was slightly unfortunate that there were 2 simultaneous parties going on which I believe made the atmosphere unusually noisy. It didn’t detract from the fabulous food which I have to say was excellent. The staff were very courteous and friendly and I want to give a special shout out to Sophie who was lovely.

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a meal out this much. If you think the food looks beautifully presented, try tasting it! Fresh, perfectly cooked and really flavoursome. We were told the resident chef is in fact the owner - well he has really mastered his art. The staff were friendly and we had a nice chat as it was a Friday lunch time so quite nice and quiet. There were generous complimentary added touches including Turkish delight. I can't wait to go back!!

Excellent and delicious food and very pleasant and helpful staff! There was a vast menu with everything from veggie options to meat and shellfish/seafood. Also, so many components to every dish with fresh herbs as sauces served alongside. We’ll be back very soon! Also, big shout out to the extremely busy chefs in the visible kitchen- great work!

Good food & great service. Massive portions! This was our first visit & everything was great! Also a very good cocktail menu & reasonably priced.

What amazing food! I had the lamb ribs one night ( never had them before) and they were fantastic! With that meal I has bulgur (never heard of that either) and it too was fantastic! 2nd visit I had 2 hot starters Hummus Kavurma and Soute Mushrooms—both so good I am would not be surprised if it was illegal lol. And the Turkish red wine is great!
