Went in on a busy Saturday evening (16th May)and wow I an the family was amazed on the service we got from the team and delicious food cooked to perfection it’s a hidden gem in Leighton buzz thank you to the management and the staff once again

So glad we went here for food yesterday, the place was amazing! The staff were so kind and couldn’t do enough for us ! The food was absolutely gorgeous and would highly recommend a visit ! A truly enjoyable experience

The staff at the restaurant is rude talking behind your back. I asked simple question and start getting angry.

Food was nice but delivery took longer than expected. The drinks were missing so that made the whole experience very disappointing

What a wonderful surprise! The service and attention to the customers is extraordinary at this very nice restaurant. We had a lovely dinner with friends and were thrilled with our meals. Many great options that were new to us, a lovely Spanish wine, and meals that were impressively presented. We off handedly mentioned that it was our friend’s birthday, and she was treated to a celebration she’ll never forget. Go beyond “the usual” and have dinner at Number One Kitchen!

We came in for a very late dinner - the staff were so welcoming, friendly and kind. The food was also delicious, looked gorgeous on the plate, so tasty, even for at the end of the night. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

Avoid. Just avoid. Walked in and was immediately concerned—it was completely empty. The guy behind the counter told us we wouldn’t be ordering for at least 20 minutes because “staff are eating now.” Not a great start. My wife and I agreed to wait, but even getting a drink was an issue—he was reluctant to serve us anything as he also wanted to eat. I rattled off four drinks from their own menu—he was out of every single one. Not one alternative offered, just a shrug. At that point, we’d seen enough. Walked out, straight to Mevan down the road—absolutely packed, buzzing with people, service like night and day. This place needs to pack up shop and leave Leighton Buzzard to the professionals. No loss.

Absolutely delicious food with so much to choose from (including veggie options) and very welcoming staff and lovely atmosphere. The only negative was the bathroom. It’s a single toilet but thats not obvious if you haven’t been before and the door takes some tugging to firmly lock it which resulted in me walking in on people - twice. *awkward* I’d suggest a notice on the inside instructing people to pull the door as they lock it or a different lock which tells people outside that it’s occupied to avoid it happening again. Other than that a fantastic experience and would 100% recommend to friends.

Food really good and had a lovely atmosphere. Just a shame the management was poor when we were over charged. Our party would have returned definitely but not now after the manger refused to give us our money back. We didnt realise until the following day when we checked our payments. Finally he has refunded but held onto the service charge. Telling us it’s mandatory even though it isn’t. Overall good food but very poor management

The food was amazing but the management were terrible. They over charged us a lot of money. Made me fight to get back 2/3 of it even though we had all the evidence. We are now having to go through a small claims court to received the rest. After speaking to a number of people this has happened to a few people. So my advice if you do go check your bill thoroughly and keep all receipts and make sure your aware you do not have to tip!!

Number one kitchen. I eat here regularly. Food full of flavour. Service is amazing. Staff really polite and friendly. Fantastic for any occasion. Spacious seats 60 downstairs and 40 on the first floor. Nice selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks so the nominated driver is covered. Really you must give this a visit.

Had an amazing birthday dinner with friends. Fantastic service and food was plentiful and very well presented. Highly recommended

Valentine 💝 night we had a wonderful night the food was so delicious and a very good price too ,definitely will be going again and taking the whole family next time would highly recommend this Turkish restaurant, staff are very friendly and give you a very happy and friendly welcome definitely deserve all 5 stars 🌟

We stayed in Leighton Buzzard (on and off) for 2 weeks in the spring of 2024. Number One Kitchen was our first supper out on the town. The food was delicious (so much flavour, colour and texture!), the mojitos were amazing (a non-alcoholic version for me and my kid), and the staff both attentive and friendly. The tables are small-ish, but the environment is bright and comfortable. I still think of it as a favourite meal almost a year later. You won't regret a visit!

Had a lovely meal here. We had the mixed kebab shish and lamb shank and it was cooked to perfection! Very tasty and excellent service! Would highly reccomend.

I recently dined at Number One, a Turkish restaurant, and was thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. From the succulent kebabs to the flavorful mezze, every dish was a masterpiece. What truly surprised me was the affordability of the menu. For the quality and quantity of food, the prices were incredibly reasonable. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. We ordered a mixed grill with salads and bulgar and chips and drinks for a family. All the drinks were wrong and we got rice instead of bulgar. To top it all off the mixed grill platter never arrived. We called the restaurant 3 times to inform them and they knew and said someone would be round. 3 hours later still not here and no sign of it showing up. You’ve ruined a special occasion meal with no apology. Will not be ordering from here again.

Tonight was my first visit with my family and I’m speechless. The food is simply amazing, along with the friendly warm atmosphere this place is simply the best. I have a new favourite place to eat in my home town and I’m already looking forward to coming back and I haven’t even left yet. I don’t normally leave a review until the next day or so but I’m so taken back by the quality of food and service that while I’m waiting for our dessert I thought I would share my thoughts. Went into the Resturant last minute, service was excellent, food was delicious, would 100% go back again!

Came here for a midweek lunch with a friend and both of our 1 year olds after seeing a lunch deal outside. The food was lovely, however the service was shocking. The restaurant was empty other than us. The man who served us was extremely rude and it was very clear he didn’t like the fact that he had two babies in the restaurant. The babies had put a bit of bread on the floor (because they are 1 year old babies and thats what babies do) and he was huffing and puffing waving his hands around and complaining about it. Due to this we won’t be visiting again which is disappointing as the food was very nice.

A firm favourite for lunch with me and mum. Big portions of the most delicious food, cooked to perfection. Always a big smile to greet you with. 5* service The Lamb Shank is mums favourite and whole heartedly recommends a try.

Nice but need to think about different packaging for chips. Ordered kids chicken shish and chips. All put in one container and sealed. By the time food arrived chips were wet and soggy which kinda ruined the meal.

Amazing experience! We work at the local estate agent brown and merry across the road and came to celebrate a friends birthday and not only did the team create such a happy atmosphere the food was also amazing! Service was amazing! And they did great at catering to all dietary requirements! If u could I’d give them 6!

Driver didn’t turn up. Called restaurant, they confirmed driver had collected food 45 mins prior to call. Were told to contact just eat. An hour later the order was marked as delivered. It never came. Hope the delivery driver enjoyed our dinner!

Cold food and missing items. This was always a good place to eat but wouldn’t use again. Salad less than half the size it used to be and only one little piece of bread with the chicken shish - not worth the price at all, basically a kid’s portion of food for full price. Have requested refund.

Done and dusted. The food served was really top notch. We enjoyed every bite of the meal. It was a joy to eat well cooked and seasoned meat. In addition, the service from the staff was beautiful.

Nice welcome to a nice, clean restaurant on Leighton Buzzard High Street, good service getting drinks and taking orders, the adults had starters and they brought the kids meals with those so they didn't have to sit and watch us eat which I always appreciate! Very nice food, Lamb Shank the meat just slid off the bone, but with the edible basket thing it was served in was a little tricky to eat apparently. Asked for no salad with my main but it was put on the plate anyway, so bit of food waste there that wasn't needed. Despite a small choice of Desserts they only had 2 available which wasn't great! Overall would definitely return again.

Highly recommend this place. By far the best restaurant in Leighton Buzzard. Excellent food and service.

First time we visited the restaurant in February for a late lunch and then again revisited with a larger group in March for a brunch on Saturday. Excellent table service with nice presentation. The service team served our orders dishes nicely, in addition, suggested us some additional adjustment of the quantity of foods and especial, turkish dishes, which all of us liked and enjoyed those. I liked the cocktails Mojito. We gave 10 out of 10. I hope, many of you would agreed the same.

Our go-to place for any event. Never disappointed either the food, drink, service and price.

If you live nearby don’t look elsewhere.

One of the best Persian cuisine in the Area. We used to order online, and this time we decided to visit the place, which we were completely satisfied with the food and service.

I had halloumi for starter, chicken shish as main. Served quickly (as I had limited time) which they facilitated. Both meals full of flavour, chicken well cooked. Lunch 2-Couse and drink was about £16. I asked for no onion in the salad, and they took this into account 👍. Pictures supplied are Galway through eating 😋

Food was cold and dry, complained and got a new plate but was still cold and over cooked. Service was chaotic, waiter rushing around, knocking things over and not knowing what they're doing. Not gonna bother again i dont think

This wonderful Turkish Restaurant, which goes unnoticed on the High Street, has very delicious food. We have been there a few times, and the food is always delicious and of good quality, with authentic flavours. The staff are very hospitable, and the table service is delightful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We booked a table to take friends out for a thank you meal. We made a great choice! The food was delicious, el presented, good-sized portions, and the manager was very mindful of my dietary requirements . Would highly recommend, we will be returning.

Drinks far to expensive £5.50 for two cans, meat was tough salad looked wilted. Not impressed at all won’t be useing again thanks.

We order regulary mixed grill platter and the quality and the sizes are really dropped. Especially the last order, they almost sent a spoonful cold mezes. The reason we order mixed platter is because their cold mezes were lovely. I can’t do the same comment now. Definitely the quality has changed. As a Turkish person, I was feeling super lucky to have this restaurant in the town but I don’t think I would order again.

Delicious food. We were well surprised with this restaurant. Went from London for a country walk around Leighton buzzard. We ended up here while looking for Wetherspoons. We didn’t regret it. Great fresh food. If you are in town look no more check this out. 😀
