This is now an excellent Thai restaurant - no longer a cafe, so ignore old reviews and enjoy the new experience. Ring to book !

We were staying in Ironbridge for a couple of days and popped into the White Hart for a drink. We noticed Suree's next door and went over to investigate as nothing had come up on TripAdvisor. What we found was a beautiful 16 cover Thai restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. We booked for the following evening. When we arrived the next day, we were recognised and immediately felt very welcome. Suree was front of house that evening and was charming and funny. The other waitress was also friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make our evening special. The food was absolutely delicious and, of course, as authentic as you can get when not in Thailand, with a good range to suit all tastes. The spring rolls were as light and crispy as you can get, and I had the Veg Red Curry which was rich and deep in flavour. The location is perfect, just a short walk along the river from the Iron Bridge. All in all, faultless. I cannot recommend it highly enough. I do suggest you book ahead though, as it was fully booked on the night we went, and I can see it being very popular - and only open three nights a week.

Went for lunch with my sister, my baked potato was cold inside as in defrosted cold, when I went back to server to exchange it I was told it’s because you have cold tuna on top, I nicely explained the potato was very cold as in Ice bits underneath. Sever just shrugged and said well we haven’t got anymore. So I asked for soup instead, only to wait 20 mins and to watch server put hot water in my dish along with a very small amount of soup !!!! I ate it because I was starving! Shame because food was nice but service awful would not go back.

Went for afternoon tea - they had run out of cups (wash some?), almost run out of cake (1 choice only). Food was okish if a bit mean with the cream and jam. Service ranged from arrogant to nonchalant. Wished we had gone elsewhere.

We arrived here ready to re-fuel after a busy afternoon at Enginuity. We decided as a family of 5 we would have afternoon tea. After waiting some time, out came our afternoon tea- a stand with 4 tiny sandwiches, 2 scones, 2 pieces of chocolate cake (which none of us liked) and 2 small macaroons. The children tucked in whilst we waited for the 2nd stand. To our disappointment, it turned out that this pitiful stand was actually supposed to feed all of us! By the time we’d come to the stark realisation that this was actually all we were getting, the children had eaten the sandwiches and macaroons leaving the ‘selection of cakes’ (as described on the menu) - 2 pieces of chocolate cake which no one liked so we left. As a seasoned ‘afternoon tea’er ......this was definitely the worst I’ve ever had. Staff were friendly but food a complete and utter disappointment. Don’t waste your money....and don’t expect an afternoon tea to be anything more than a tiny snack that you’ll need a proper meal after!!

Number Nine is a small riverside cafe along the side of the river Seven and in sight of the Ironbridge river crossing. The cafe offers a good selection of drinks and light refreshments. I had a great machiato followed by one their wholemeal sandwiches filled with Mozzarella and walnut pesto. It was filled with fresh ingredients and full of taste. The sandwich came with a tasty water cress and cabbage side dressing. Great food, great views, price a little bit steep but worth it.

I often pop into this Cafe to grab some cake 'on the go' as they are of lovely quality, the Swiss roll is a particular favourite of mine. The younger staff members can be a little aloof and difficult however as a take-out customer it doesn't cause too much of a issue.

Very nice atmosphere in this small, charming cafe with friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed the best cream tea we have had in ages; beautiful, warm freshly baked scones with excellent jam (a seeming rarity these days) and cream and a pot of fine tea with great flavour. Looks a lovely place for snacks and coffees etc but haven't tried those. They are clearly dedicated to and serious about quality. Welll done!

This is one of my favourite coffee shops in Ironbridge so am hoping it was just an off day, I went in last week for coffee and cake (normally excellent) as there were none on display I asked the waitress what cakes were available, she replied the chef is just doing them (this was 10.40) I ordered toast instead, when it arrived it was the smallest bread I have ever seen and as it had been cut lengthways it was like trying to spread two fishfingers. Perhaps they should get he cakes ready earlier or at least get bigger bread.

We visited yesterday between 1.15 and 1.45pm. When we arrived there was only one table of 4 available inside. Clearly there had been a small child sitting there as there was a highchair and LOTS of food (some half chewed) on the floor underneath. The table was covered in crumbs, bits of tomato etc. It looked recently vacated so fair enough we sat there anyway assuming someone would wipe the table. Nobody wiped the table. After a few minutes the waitress (grumpy and unsmiling) came to take our order, there was still no attempt or offer to wipe the table. Yes we could have asked, but should we need to? Our younger daughter could barely put her feet on the floor due to the amount of food there so we moved to a table for 2 and used 2 stools by the window. The other table for 4 inside at this point had a young family including a toddler sitting at the table and when they left we observed the waitress clear the table of crockery but again not make any attempt to wipe the table. We sat inside for a full half an hour and at no point did any of the three waitresses, who at times had time to stand by the till or chat, attempt to clean the tables or sweep the floor. During that half an hour an older couple sat at our original table and after a few minutes of grimacing at the floor left without ordering anything. A few minutes later a group of four sat at the same table and made some attempt to kick some of the food on the floor out of the way, again after a few minutes they moved to a table outside.

We visited this lovely looking cafe in beautiful Ironbridge for a pre booked afternoon tea with family. There were 7 of us plus my 14 month old twins. When the booking was made, two highchairs were asked for - this was one of the main reasons we booked here. The cafe area was quite a small room (next to the adjoining pub) so we were told we couldn't bring in our double pram- fair enough as it is quite big. However, as we sat down we were told that there was only one highchair available! There were only 2 in the whole pub/cafe so my husband and I spent the entire time with one of our twins on our lap, which I'm sure any parent of a toddler would know is not ideal. Unsurprisingly she became quite agitated which did not make our experience very relaxing. Unfortunately the service and selection of sandwiches did not impress either. The sandwiches consisted of tomato/cheese and cucumber/salad cream or mayonnaise(?) no meat!

I have done a few reviews in Ironbridge, but this place beats the others by a mile. The coffee is in my view & the wifes, better then Costas, The cakes are superb, the bacon & mushroom sandwich is wonderful. They even do a coffee & doughnut for £3.50, Do not confuse this offer with a commercial cheap doughnut. The only thing that is cheap is the price, the food is 100% top quality. I have in the past given top marks for quite a few places around Ironbridge, but in all honesty if there was a higher rating I would give it. This place so far & I have visited it at least once a week for the last month or so. Has delivered top quality service every time, they just know what there doing with there food, looking forward to going again soon. Excellent value, You will not be disappointed. Please note not open on a Monday & Tuesday. 10 am opening time.

Really angry concerning the poor service or should I say lack of service at this Cafe. Had travelled to Ironbridge on motorbike with my partner. Decided to drop into this cafe for a meal. Greeted by young lady and sat waiting and waiting for service. Not that the lady was run off her feet but failed to serve us both but quite willingly served a customer requiring some cake who had dropped in and other couples who had arrived after us. So poor marks for attention and walked out.

During Mothering Sunday weekend, I treated my Nan to Afternoon Tea at number 9 in Ironbridge. It was a lovely sunny day so our table was reserved outside. The table was dressed with a spotless white table cloth and well polished glasses. It felt like a real treat for my Nan, which is what I was hoping for. We had a glass of fizz each and also a pot of tea. When they bought out our food, it was presented on a three tier cake stand, with sandwiches and tartlets on the top tier, scones in the middle and cakes of our choice on the bottom. It all tasted amazing and looked perfect. Would 100% recommend Number 9 for afternoon tea!

The lamb chops were tasty, the kids enjoyed the burgers but my goodness - the sushi was absolutely mind-blowing!!! I enjoy my sushi and have it regularly and this was the best sushi I’ve had in a long time!! I do not understand why this restaurant isn’t busier!!! They deserve to be busy all the time!
