Came in for breakfast and was served by steff, food was good and service was amazing, nothing was too much even when my baby made a mess, I was told not to worry they will sort it, thanks for a lovely time

Just had a shocking meal! Sent squid starter back as was like warm, only for it to be microwaved & came back like a rubber tyre. To add insult, we were then charg3d for someone's drink. Very poor, never coming back.

Very Friendly staff, good food and a reasonable price. Visit here often and have never had a bad meal. A year later and I had a ribeye steak. It was amazing I mean properly melt in your mouth good, I told the waitress and kirstey who prepared my meal popped out and said thank you. Took my mum who had the scampi and also said it was really nice. Service as always was excellent.i love the Knight. Thank you to the staff

Went for lunch and selected fish & chips and ice cream from the great value lunch menu. I also had 1/2 pint of Guinness to wash it down. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was tasty and reasonably presented. The place was very quiet though I expect it would be busier in the evenings being next door to a Premier Inn. Typically furnished for a large chain pub and reasonably comfortable. Just a couple of minor negatives to mention. The peas weren't great and the tartare sauce cup could do with being a larger diameter to make dipping the fish easier. I really enjoyed my lunch overall and the lunch menu is great value for money.

New review. After watching a lady send her food back 5 times, I was worried about what to expect. I can see why. The chicken platter was average at best. Goujons were burnt, the breast was dry and cold The mac & cheese needed resuscitation. It was all pretty poor and well below expectation of one of our local pubs. It was football and grub, so not expecting a lot, but let's be honest. This pub usually does better.

My family and I visited on Mother's Day & the food was absolutely outstanding. Red hot, fresh & tasty. Their cask ale was beautiful too (according to my dad). Shout out to Simone, Kirsty & the kitchen team. Gorgeous x

Spot on couldn't fault the service or the food beef dripping gravy and burnt ends were awesome if I had to pick fault cheesecake portions where small but delicious...... we'll be back.

Quite large, friendly pub, officially in Ruddington, but really on the edge of West Bridgford next to the A52 Nottingham Ring Road, and just off the Nottingham Knight island on the A60 towards West B. Mostly given over to table service dining (probably 3/4) but with a reasonable sized bar area, where food is also served on request.

Absolutely without question amazing

This pub is cheap for food, especially when you get 20% off when staying in the Premier Inn next door, so the only fair comparison to me is with Weatherspoons. And I'm afraid the ingredients are second best. Sorry to the staff who are all fine, but this pub didn't cut it.

Lovely little place for food to eat. However it looses a star for how my wife and I were seated. The restaurant was pretty much empty on this particular Tuesday night and we were sat right next to a till that the employees were constantly using. I just felt a bit in the way the entire time. Not a massive issue though!

What a wonderful experience! Despite a very busy morning, the service was grand, the drinks grander and the environment grandest! What a cool place to visit, to learn about history and to sip on a nice red or cold beer. I am from Australia, and wish I could bring my family here. 10/10!

Oh dear ….have used this restaurant/pub on various occasions no issues….however last week so sad to see nearly empty ( granted mid week) Atmosphere zero, service so slow, had to request cutlery, no napkins…just generally unwelcoming.Food average.

The service from Michelle was very good. The issue with this establishment was that about half of the choices on the menu was not available due to a lack of food! Our visit was for a friends birthday and he as well as two others had to change their choices. We felt sorry for Michelle because she looked embarrassed by the lack of options available for us.

We were a family of 10 adults visiting Nottingham for a family funeral. Well-dressed and well-mannered, we decided to dine at this restaurant. Upon arrival, eight of us waited to be seated and noticed a woman at the till glancing at us, shaking her head, and covering her mouth. This made us feel uncomfortable, though we tried not to jump to conclusions. When she eventually approached, she asked if we had a booking. We didn’t. After asking how many were in our group and hearing there were 10 of us, she responded, “Sorry, we can’t seat more than 8,” despite the restaurant being nearly empty. We suggested splitting into two groups—one table for 8 and another for 2—but she claimed they were “fully booked” and unable to accommodate this. We then agreed to take the table for 8 alone, and she led us to a small, tucked-away section at the back of the restaurant, away from the main dining area. This didn’t bother us initially, but we noticed two empty tables for 4 in the same section. Though we didn’t mention it, she went out of her way to label them as reserved. After being seated, the remaining two members of our group called separately to book a table for 2. Their booking was accepted without issue. However, when they arrived, they were seated near the door in an unwelcoming spot. Feeling uncomfortable, they decided to leave. While the other staff and the food were pleasant, the experience was overshadowed by how we were treated upon arrival. By the time we left, the restaurant was even emptier than when we arrived at 6:30 PM on Sunday, 24th November 2024. We couldn’t help but question whether there was an underlying element of racial bias, as the behaviour felt unnecessarily cold and unwelcoming. Would we return? Unlikely. Racism, whether overt or subtle, should be called out and addressed.

Had my 70th birthday party on 23/11. Seemed a bit chaotic. Bar had run out of glasses pre our 7.00pm dinner. When it came time to order several items weren't available including ribs & rib eye Steaks. Again poor waitress turned up with a selection of odd glasses for our wine! Not critical of waiting staff as they were fine and just kept saying it'd been really busy. But I think your duty manager needs to get a grip on a busy Saturday night.

We came today 13/1024 the Sunday dinner which I had there was no potatoes either mashed boiled or roast on the plate I had to ask for some after about 5mins the young lady came back with 4 tiny roast potatoes in a bowl I don't think my Sunday dinner was worth the money then we had to wait upto 20 minutes for the pudding.

Had a lovely evening with my family at the Nottingham night, the atmosphere was friendly and service was fast and friendly. Christmas tree up in September made me laugh though! I had had the ultimate burger which was a generous portion size and very tasty! We were served our food by mae who was so polite and attentive and drinks by Ebonie. Will definitely be back!!

Poor staff attitude, suggest there is no correct management or training. Poor mannered other guests (shabby place) Food lacking in quality. "battered cod" was old and over cooked, avoid it!

Sunday night STANK of old beer/vinegar the second you walk in. Food and staff appalling. Need to renovate the disgustingly dirty glasses and learn how to cook a basic steak when they charge the prices they do. AVOID. We won't waste money here again. I would give it 0 if I could.

We travel for work and found the Knight a few years ago. Service is fast and accurate, food is good. It's just off the main road, so handy if you're on the move.

Not good experience we gangs of children running around the dining room climbing on the furniture screaming it was a terrible evening I wot be going there again, it seem like there not sufficient staff and they where over run could and handle it I didn't expect it to be like a kindergarten

Lovely meal except for veg pie which couldn't be eaten. Service very poor as only 2 staff on. They were lovely but rushed of their feet doing everything. Desserts were a long time coming.

Stopped here on way back from an event with 6 of us. Service and food were brilliant especially the nachos for starters. The only thing letting it down was a bit of the seating was very worn and could do with a bit of tlc. Apart from that, everything was excellent

First time trying here,had Sunday lunch, wouldn't recommend it, veg was hard and inedible, beef was tough and chewy, not very nice

The food was just about ok, the side dish of a large pig in a blanket was super salty and so overcooked. My turkey roast was ok. And as all Greene King pubs the soft drinks are way over priced ! The staff were nice and attentive.

Strange one, Friday evening, Test Match on at Trent Bridge, we are stopping at PI next door and fancied a bit of food. However at 8.15 were told no more food orders being taken unless you have a booking. Place was half empty. However, all was resolved by a young lady Ebony who managed to muster a few things up in 15 mins, so all good in the end

As previous reviews..place is nice..food tasted good, but looked like a frozen meal from Iceland.. no cutlery or condiments..First and last time sadly .

Atmosphere was only good because of the company, ordered separately but for the same table , food not served together, had to ask for condiments, cutlery and napkins, food was mediocre at best.....sorry but first and last visit! Our visit was Sunday 19th May.

Just stopped here for coffees and toast - so glad we did! Dog friendly and delicious coffee and wonderful friendly people and such good value! We weren’t sure they would be open in the morning for breakfast but were so glad they were ! Would 100% recommend! Apparently open from 9 am.. enjoy!

Had katsu Curry very nice, it was a quiet Tuesday, not too many customers in, dog friendly in the bar area so all good 😀

This is a nice pub with friendly staff but the food I would describe as average. I had the Sunday trio roast and I'm not sure I'd describe it as a roast. It seemed as if it was microwave food. It was tasty but not what I was expecting for the price.

Enjoyable meal, however adverts some what misleading. Would go again.

Took my mum there for her birthday and had a Sunday lunch it was delicious, and there was a lot, and it was served hot. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

5 pm visit so it was quiet. They were either grossly understaffed or incompetent. Or both. Long wait to be seated, long wait to take drinks order. Long wait for food order which at least appeared quickly. 30 minute wait to pay at table so gave up and went to bar. Long wait as only one person there who kept getting called away to unlock a computer by reception for the only waiter I could see. Food was expensive for what it was. Side salad on the hunters chicken was a single sprig of watercress.... Basically this is a place that relies on business people paying on expenses in the premier inn next door that dont care about the price/value ratio and are a trapped audience. Won't both again for food

Appalling service. Lunchtime 18 Feb 2024. Met by a miserable ( pregnant) young woman with an indifferent attitude, no smile, don’t want to be here demeanour, no welcome…just asked “ Have you booked?” Service poor..Waiting staff came to clear away our plates and continued to scrape food from the plates in front of us. When one elderly person in our party said “ Do you mind?” she went off in a huff with no idea what she had done. When I asked for the bill I was asked indifferently “ Do you want the card machine?” I looked at her askance and she said “You can do what you like”. I went to the bar to settle the bill and was attended to by the same person. The staff need more training in correct, good mannered, customer service. Disgraceful.

Ordered the pork roast dinner and would definitely say it wasn’t worth the price of nearly 15 pound, two carrots two small pieces of broccoli handful of peas a tiny bit of stuffing a few roast potatoes that was over cooked and so was the yorkshire pudding it was so hard and crispy, wasn’t that hot either the only thing that was nice was the pork but that was only two small pieces. Would definitely not return sorry

Lovely atmosphere, great food and drink, welcoming staff, plenty of room

We stopped for lunch on the way from the hospital. There were a lot of vacant tables, so we asked to sit where there were fewer people. The Bar lady said NO. Could you please explain to your staff if the person is wearing a medical mask and asking to sit where fewer people means that person is vulnerable and at high risk of catching an infection from others? Instead, she assumed we have Covid.

We arrived about 5pm for food before going to the Royal Concert Hall last night. It was almost empty but we were told there was a 45 mins delay We decided to wait as we had plenty of time and ordered. The vegetarian pie on the menu was no longer available and everything on that menu wasn't available after 5pm for which I wasn't told. Not impressed 😞

Placed order, after 20 minutes had to remind them of our drinks order, food came out luke warm, wasn't going to send back, probably won't return

Good food for price but long wait times

This pub is great in lots of ways. Very dog friendly, nice staff and good food. However, my only complaint is the fact that they keep altering their opening times. This happened severe times in the last few weeks and no one updates the website. I keep going at the time stated on the website and the doors are shut. Apparently, at the moment they are opening later in January but there is no information to state this. Very frustrating.

I've not eaten here, but the pub was very well maintained and the staff were also very polite.

We have been here a couple of times before and have had very nice meals but this night the food wasn't quite up to standard but I expect it was probably due to the time of year and the rush for meals at xmas.

As with the past love this place. Used to bring my gran as she lived nearby. We came after my Grans funeral as a remembrance. 2nd January 2024 about 3pm. Staff were amazing and put us in an area alone even though we didn't book. They never fail to amaze me as their customer service is second to none. Food is amazing too Thank you.

This is a little treasure to find! We checked into the adjacent hotel and thought we'd check out the pub. So glad we did. Absolutely delicious food and great service. Great pub food if that's what you're looking for.

Just popped in for a few drinks with friends from work for Xmas Seems like a nice place for a bite to eat

Lovely food and friendly staff.

Often used for after funeral wakes. So again I find myself with family and friends here. The public area is quite large with an upper level and cornered off spaces. The staff at my last visit seemed casual and a little busy. The staff are polite and helpful. I didn't find service to be what I would call chatty but more I'll serve you and who's next. The upper level that we had was put aside for this funeral had a bucket and plastic container catching discoloured water from what looked like a ceiling ready to collapse. I would like to think it is now repaired. The sloping car park is large with quite a lot of cars parked, I wonder if they are staying here or left park and ride? The food was okay ( to be fair it was a buffet paid for and not the normal menu), help yourself to hot water and make your own tea or coffee for the funeral mourners. The better choice is to go to the bar and choose the machine made hot drinks. A good selection of drinks at the bar, I liked the Abbot beer. I did notice mid day diners maybe ladies or do lunch types, quite happy souls as well. We mingled with the mourners minding not to trip over the water bucket and container. The pub is clean and the toilets are fresh, always a good sign. Bus stops are close by the busses are frequent so handy. I would say the Nottingham Night has lost some of its earlier days fame but still holds onto that a bit. Good place to take the family for lunch and an early evening meal. Older parents and grandparents would be a good choice for a get together. Kids are welcome and wouldn't be cramped in. Might be a good place to have a secret meet up, you know for a fling in a cosy corner. Well worth a "let's go out somewhere not too posh" and enjoy that moment.

Food mediocre. Staff generally just looked miserable and moping around with no enthusiasm or attention to detail. A Sunday lunch service with lots of tables empty which can say a lot about an establishment. The coffees which we had were very good tbf. Wouldn't return.

We had a good meal here. Nothing fancy but good basic pub food! Staff were friendly. They were very busy and it took a while for someone to show us to our table. The decor was a bit tired and could do with a bit of tlc. The toilets were clean though and the food was pretty good. Delicious chips! Car park allowed easy access.
