Only ordered hot drinks and server (Tilly) was very friendly. Took a while for drinks to be prepared. Lots of staff making drinks so no need for delay Atmosphere good

What has happened to the cheese scones? The outside was rock hard,I was very disappointed, normally they are to be recommended but not today. Luckily I have not broken any teeth.

Extremely disappointed with the fruit scone. Very hard crust, dry and where was the fruit? My coffee was also only just warm. Not Notcutts usual standard at all.

Wow! This restaurant needs a review with 5stars. Such a busy restaurant but still manage to look after everyone individually. Visited with my partner and mother in law and we all had a great time…only went for a bit of lunch but our visit took 3 hours in the end. Food was great, nice and fresh…drinks were lovely made with love, they now even have a better selection of teas (visited here before) which is an upgrade. And the staff…just so friendly and incredibly attentive! They all deserve a mention, for sure. Thank you for looking after us so well and hope the Christmas madness goes well with every single customer. We love it there and will definitely return!

Over priced but happy to accept providing the service is good..but no, incredibly rude staff operating the checkouts. Honestly, possibly the most ignorant staff member I have encountered. Nobody queuing but she refused to serve me shouting “stand there next time..it would be better for everyone”. I suspect this is some hideous throw back from the pandemic where staff in hi vis jackets thought it ok to bully customers. News flash, the economy is open and there are a plethora of hum drum garden centres all touting the same cheap goods. Don’t be rude to customers, do your job, ring up the purchase and take the contactless payment. It’s really very easy. Terrible experience, will not re visit. I suggest the management invest in some basic customer care training!

Everything would be great about this place except it is hugely inefficient. This is due to the layout or the system when ordering and collecting food. It isn't clear what you have to do, where you start and where you finish. It is so badly designed. Also I suspect the kitchen can't cope with the amount of covers it has. They need to simplify what they offer, it might speed them up.

Waited in queue 20 minutes for a coffee. They really need more pay stations. Have shut one down. Staff doing their best in tough circumstances

Good service even when very busy. Ben was friendly and helpful. It can be difficult to find a table.

Waiting times in queue and then for food were terrible. They were short staffed I believe. All the young employers were lovely (especially Alasdair who remained friendly and polite and showed a nice sense of humour even when very busy and pressed). I ordered the ‘Superfood Salad’ which cost £10.95. I was very disappointed: it was barely more than a side salad with a tiny amount of avocado and a pathetic sprinkling of seeds. My friend ordered the cod and chips; thus was fine. I went back up to the counter to order coffees to have after our meal but turned straight back when I saw the queues were even longer than they had been when we’d been up for food.

Came here for lunch, couldn’t decide what to have and was served by the fabulously kind and lovely Vicki and Jamie Lee who went above and beyond to help us and provide us with a fabulous afternoon tea! Couldn’t have been more friendly and will definitely be returning due to their service 😊 food was lush too!

We visited Notcutts at Norwich for our usual Christmas decorations recce and had a nice time. Lunch there was very good and Dora made it all the more pleasant with her courteous and kind service.

One of the few garden centres around Norwich that offers a range of vegan dishes. The food is lovely and well presented and the staff are friendly too. We were served by Alistair who was friendly, polite and informative. A great visit.

The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating with my food intolerances. They were taken seriously (which is unusual) and all my options were discussed with me as well as offering to alter any dishes I fancied. The staff member took time with me and I did not feel like a nuisance which is often the case. Catering staff need to better understand that food intolerances seriously and adversely impact on people's lives and I felt this was understood at Notcutts Norwich.

Breakfast has gone down hill very disappointed and the price has increased some what. It used to be quality thick bacon and a good sized sausage and nice hash browns. Understandably prices have increased everywhere but their quality hasn’t!!

Went to Notcutts for cake and coffee. we were very disappointed with the very small slice of the Victoria slice. Infact my grandson would be very disappointed at the SMALL slice of cake and at well over priced at above £3.50 a slice....its a small child slice. will not be going there again.

Just got back from lunch with friends, I had Caesar salad, all in was was a very small pieces of lettuce and hardly any chicken. I really should of complained but I didn’t like to. My friends all had different things and they all looked awful. Terrible value for money

My husband went off to get us coffees & snacks whilst I sat down at a table & he only returned with coffees & said he couldn’t see the usual display of savoury & sweet snacks so we didn’t have anything to eat & were disappointed & when we tasted our cappuccinos they were horrible! The froth tasted bitter & the coffee was really weak so we decided to leave them, they were £6 which was average prices. The restaurant was sanitised regularly & hand gel dotted about & lovely to see all staff both inside & outside wearing masks. The rest of the place was impressive with beautiful gifts & looking very festive, such a pity about the restaurant, it’s certainly gone downhill!

Ordered a cheese & chutney sandwich - dry brown bread with no butter at all - (Never had a sandwich with just dry bread before) a thin slice of cheese & a small smear of chutney - was charged £6.95 - ( which is the price with salad & chips ) - to be fair - I did get a refund - & the tea & cake were lovely - which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1!

Had visited the cafe a few years ago and was disappointed with the food. Thought I would take my daughter for lunch the other day to see if had improved. It was worse. I ordered a tuna sandwich, bread was stale, with a measly bit of salad on the side. My daughter had a BLT which was literally a cheap baguette with rubbery bacon and hardly any chips. The chips were nice though. They need to improve on the quality of food. I would go back for a coffee and a look around the garden centre but I would definitely go somewhere else for a nice lunch. Such a shame.

After waiting 25mins for a basic veggie breakfast, I was presented with a plate of cols food, not luke warm but stone cold, including the toast (which I couldnt be bothered asking for a replacement). I found a waitress and asked her if I could have it hot. Within FIVE mins it arrived at my table (by this time I'd finished my coffee, maybe as a gesture another coffee would have been nice?) piping hot (thank you microwave) the problem is when you microwave veggie sausages the result isn't tasty and eggs become rubbery, and don't tell me it wasn't microwaved because it would not have been that hot if it hadn't been. The mushrooms were clearly boiled rather than fried. I had a breakfast at Morrisons last week, half the price and exceptional quality.

I don't see the logic of stopping the 2 free coffees per month for Privilege Club members. If most customers are like us, we go in for our free coffees, always buy a sausage roll or cake each and invariably come away with a plant or two. So, for the few pence the coffees cost them, they've made a reasonable profit from us. A few years ago, we spent over £1000 on furniture which we wouldn't have done had we not gone there.I've stopped my membership as it's just not worth spending £12 a year to get 10% discount - we'd have to spend £120 just to recoup the cost. We now go to a garden centre which is both closer and cheaper!

We visited the restaurant because of another lockdown that is coming and who knows when again we can dine outside of our homes. I was little worried about that whole situation and restrictions. But I did worry for nothing! Young girl welcomed us and ask to scan the NHS app also explained how we can queue and order. Lady who served us was very friendly and explained what and how we can order, as well as we where given a number to place on the table for our food. Overall it is a shame that the restaurant need to close for lockdown, whole experience make us want to comeback as soon as it’s possible.We hope that Notcutts company is acknowledging and appreciate people that work for them in this difficult times.Thank you for your hospitality!

No muy caliente, sin sabor, pequeña porción de mantequilla.Para llegar al restaurante, las personas que estaban esperando para pagar hacían cola en la tienda, algunas a través de la entrada del restaurante. No distanciados socialmente, algunos sin máscaras. Para empeorar las cosas, otros compradores tenían que mezclarse y pasar por la cola para poder comprar. . . .Vamos Notcutts nORWICH, esto simplemente no es seguro.

En primer lugar, debo decir que una cosa que siempre puedes garantizar en Notcutts es un buen café caliente. La desventaja de tantos desayunos excelentes es que el café que los acompaña es tibio en el mejor de los casos, y aquí este no es el caso.También debo mencionar en este punto que el restaurante ha sido bien distribuido, con medidas de distanciamiento social implementadas para garantizar la seguridad tanto del personal como de los comensales. El suelo está delimitado con puntos sobre los que pararse, hay mamparas que separan las mesas, y hay formas de seguimiento y rastreo y desinfectante de manos en cada punto de labranza.Comprensiblemente, el menú se ha reducido, así que opté por un desayuno de jardinero, su estándar completo tradicional: inglés. Por lo general, sustituyo los champiñones por un hash brown adicional, pero me decepcionó descubrir que ya no te permiten cambiar los elementos del desayuno, solo eliminarlos por completo.Una vez que llegó la comida (después de una espera mucho más larga de lo habitual, ¡¿a pesar de que hay muchos menos comensales en el restaurante que en visitas anteriores?!), Encontré que los huevos estaban fríos con las yemas congeladas; claramente, estos habían sido precocidos y dejados bajo una lámpara de calor ; y las setas nadando en un charco de aceite en el fondo de una cazuela. Desafortunadamente tuve un accidente y derramé leche por el piso, alerté a un miembro del personal para que me ayudara a limpiar y me dijeron que "no se preocupara", así que procedí a limpiar y trapear el piso con las servilletas que tenía sin ayuda. La comida en sí era blanda y la piel de la patata era dura, lo que significaba que no podía comer la mayor parte. Definitivamente se necesita una revisión de precios y servicio.

Usando nuestra tarjeta Privilege club que pronto vencerá y el descuento EOtoHO, dos desayunos y cafés, (siempre buenos), fue 3. 95. Es una pena que los beneficios del restaurante se retiren de la tarjeta, ya que es posible que no renuevemos, por lo que no visitaremos y, por lo tanto, gastaremos con tanta frecuencia.

Mi esposa y yo visitamos aquí de camino a un breve descanso junto a las chicas. Toda la tienda se veía muy profesional y bien administrada. Fuimos a la cafetería / restaurante y tomamos bebidas calientes y pasteles y, a la primera llegada, nos hicieron sentir que estaban tomando medidas para proteger a sus clientes. La señora que nos saludó fue amable y tenía el equipo de protección personal adecuado y señaló que ahora todo está detrás del mostrador y debe pasarse a los clientes para evitar que las personas recojan las cosas y luego las reemplacen sin comprar y todos los riesgos que podrían agregar. El personal detrás del mostrador tenía el equipo de protección personal apropiado y parecía que estaban tomando las precauciones adecuadas. Las mesas tienen un letrero limpio que se deja caer cuando se sienta a la mesa para asegurarse de que nadie se siente en una mesa que no se haya limpiado y que las mesas estén espaciadas.Aunque no tuvimos una comida completa aquí, estaría feliz de comer aquí.

I quite often go here with my mum for a coffee and scone.The coffees are great and the scones are always fresh, they make them fresh each day and make more should they run out. A couple of times we managed to arrive and get scones that were still warm from the oven.If you go here ofter definitely get the notcutts reward card.

Rock hard stale scones, my wife’s sandwich had cold bacon with congealed fat all over it. Need I say more...... don’t bother!!

Went for lunch on Monday ; I got myself a chicken sandwich and my partner got a soup . Soup was good but the sandwich was anything but:( for the money they charge it needs a lot of improvement.

Hemos venido a Notcutts a desayunar varias veces, es muy agradable, pero realmente podría haber más opciones como huevos revueltos en lugar de fritos, y tal vez un poco más de tocino por su dinero, la comida es buena, pero por el precio y qué usted obtiene personalmente que no sentimos que valga la pena, tener una tarjeta de fidelidad es bueno, ya que obtiene dos desayunos por el precio de uno, el servicio es bueno y obtiene su comida rápidamente.

On Monday my husband and I stopped for drinks, which ended up us having lunch. So pleased we did. We both had the fish and chips. This was very good and fulling and service was very quick. Will return again.

The bacon needs improving to say the least. The pesto was dry and taste of soap. The mozzarella was Malleable.

The card has got a lot less attractive, 2-4-1 meals are now not available on the weekend or on privilege events. Disappointed that Santa arrived in a limo this year, I loved the vintage bus with all the children in it!

The sausage rolls are very nice and the service was very good with a kind lady. The coffee was also good and there is free water available. The cafe is kept very clean and gives provides a nice atmosphere.

Chaotic lots of counters with people standing behind them but not open. Indifferent staff. Scone dry and coffee Luke warm. Happy to self clear but staff hanging around tray stacks and made no effort to take tray even from elderly people.

popped in today and had coffee and scones I had a cheese scone which was still warm and tasted very good the wife had a fruit one which she enjoyed they were some of the largest we have had anywhere the coffee was good and strong just the way we like it.

Popped in for a snack and I must say the sausage roll although looked nice the meat inside was dreadful. Bland and the cheapest ground up meat I have ever had. In addition at the back of the restaurant there was a table piled high with yesterday food, plates cutlery etc....awful. Get a grip, not what you expect. P.s some staff are very moody.

Just popped in to the restaurant for coffee, hot chocolate and cakes but very disappointed. It seems to be a case of quantity over quality as all 3 cakes were substantial but pretty awful as well as being expensive. Too many tables not cleared and scattered with leftovers.Not worth another visit.

Went for lunch today ordered steak pie for 2 but it was sold out so we had cod and chips. It was a long wait for food so I would have expected it to be hot. Mushy peas were stone cold. Chips were warm and soggy. The batter on fish was nice and crispy but very greased. You could taste and smell the cooking oil. No excuse for serving cold food.

I have eaten here, breakfast, lunch, lite bites, cakes and scones.I have to say their scones are just delicious, probably the best around. I have a passion for their cheese ones, not a personal lover of the fruit ones, as long as there is plenty of butter to put on them , they are just yummy.I would say that as for their lunches, probably not to my taste, each to their own.Excellent coffee, on the whole definitely worth visiting for breakfasts, good choice.

Visited notcutts at the weekend to do some shopping and thought we would have our usual cooked breakfast using our privilege cards only to be told we can only get 2 for 1 meals now during the week. Not very impressed as my husband and I both have a card and can only visit during weekends! Needless to say I won’t bother renewing our cards and will go elsewhere for my garden essentials. Also had an email recently advising of 15% off coming up! Has that now changed from 20%off?? Think you will be losing quite a few customers notcutts. Great shame as we loved it there!

Rang couple of days before to book the afternoon tea as advised. We picked our own table. Waited just few minutes for our young lady server to come over.... sorting what drinks, type of bread, dietary needs and sandwich filling choice. Drinks and cake stand arrived. We were not disappointed...the bread soooo fresh. My cousin and I both decided to bring our scones home. Cake lovely and the sweet treat in a glass was delicious. Definitely would go again....soon

This is the first time I visited the garden centre for a long while. I had a lunch of fish cake and salad. I felt it was disappointing and not value for money. One of our friends had the steak pie with vegetables. The vegetables were in poor condition have been cooked to death.The staff were good and the service was good. There was a short selection of which a number of items were not to my taste. Would I go again maybe?

We visited today and arrived just after 5pm. There were still people sitting and eating in the cafe and around 4 people by the till area so we didn’t realise that the cafe closed at 5pm. We were allowed to walk into the restaurant and began placing cakes onto plates and getting a tray of food. This took around 10 minutes, the staff watched us throughout this time. I walked towards the till to pay for our food and was told that they’d just stopped serving. I work in a cafe myself and completely understand that if the till has been cashed up there’s nothing that can be done but for multiple staff to stand there and watch us placing cakes onto plates and not say anything then make us put them back into the cake stand is unacceptable and un hygienic. On an upbeat the food looked delicious it’s just a shame that we couldn’t try it.

This place has so much potential and I can only put the faults down to a poor cook and bad management. The quiche I had was tasteless with very hard pastry and congealed filling. Disgusting. The flat white coffee I ordered was served black and I had to go back and ask where the milk was. Salad very uninteresting. I won’t go back.

The restaurant has come a long way after it's initial upgrade! The food is great again! Great staff too! Can I say that the the Welsh rarebit is the best! They have changed the tea back to tea pigs too! I'm very happy! 😁👍

Loved the salad selections here, really well done and good portions. Home made scones - delicious! Friendly service.

Visited recently .Served by the restaurant manager . He was rude arrogant and was unhelpful. He had no people's skills .The restaurant was busy but that is no excuse to be spoken to so rudely . I visit this garden centre every time I visit Norwich , never had a problem before with staff as have always found them very helpful until today .

We’ve not been to Notcutts for years and it’s really changed. The garden centre is fabulous. All the plants looked healthy and well cared for. There was lovely plant displays and will definitely go back and by more plants. After walking around we decided to visit the cafe. The tea and coffee were good. The fruit and cheese scone were both a little dry. It’s a lovely big cafe with plenty of seating. Will definitely go back.

Went for lunch with my son for a treat. I had the roast beef, he had pasta. The first potato I tasted wasn't nice so I turned the other over to see a large obvious maggot hole. This put me off my dinner. A member of staff refunded me and got me something else to eat. As I went past other tables most people had left their potatoes, at least one other had obvious maggot holes. Really surprised someone was serving them.It's a shame, but since it's been refurbished it's not great.
