Have not been for a while so had to go in and see if the Knickerbocker glory was as good as I remember, it was, sheer delight, the chunks of fruit and smooth ice-cream with lime jelly was just divine, my favorite bit, the raspberry sauce in the bottom. Would highly recommend a visit for what I believe is the best in the area.

Called here for the first time a couple of weeks ago after a bit of retail therapy. I really fancied Coffee and Ice-cream so an Afrogato was the order of the day. A perfect combo of Vanilla Ice-cream and Espresso Coffee was just what the doctor ordered. It was a nice hot day so my Afrogato was followed up by a Rum and Raisin cone which tickled my tastebuds perfectly. I will definitely go back.

We ordered two ice-creams and were quite hopeful as the ice-cream looked delicious however my hopes were dashed when I saw the condition of the woman's hands and nails who was serving us I've seen cleaner hands on Alan Tichmarsh after an episode of love your garden! My husband's face was a mask of horror as she handed him his cone. Needless to say they went straight in the bin and we went to vanilla instead! Neither one of us could bring ourselves to eat something that would surely result in an upset stomach!

Looking for somewhere to grab a drink and sandwich, menu looked tempting so gave it a go. Coffee very nice as was the children’s milk shakes, that’s where it stops, cheese sandwich and toasted cheese sandwich were obviously prepared in a hurry, presentation didn’t exist, supposed to cone with side salad, we ordered two scones with jam, came with a lot of cream and a touch of jam. The staff all seemed a little vacant and maybe were just having a bad day, but we won’t be going back.

Recently visited Notarianni’s with the family. Been coming here for many years. Notarianni’s used be a well run family business. Silvio’s vanilla ice cream was the best! Sadly in recent years the business has declined. Now the food and service are poor. Menu is very expensive, considering how poor the quality is. Much better places on the Esplanade. Such a shame as I used enjoy my trips here. Sadly won’t be coming here again. End of an era.

Came here as a trip down memory lane as been visiting Notarianni’s with my Grandma for years (39 to be precise) so bought my chn and my Mum as a treat and shocked at service and quality. Stood waiting to be served while 4 waitresses stood laughing and chatting until one said is anyone serving this lady and another replied “no” eventually got served. Not pleasant service as other waitresses stood cleaning nails and putting on make up behind the counter. Knickerbocker glory was very disappointing not at all how they used to be. All in all thing it’s had it’s day and needs better staff. Far better service and quality at Vanilla - just around the corner. We won’t be returning to Notarianni as memories far better than present day service and quality!!

After getting caught in the rain on Friday we rushed in here for hot chocolates as cold and wet. We nearly had to leave as cash machine not working but borrowed some off one of my children! They enjoyed their hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows. Coffee was nice too. So two criticisms having to pay cash and also self service. It would have been nice to not have to stand and wait for the drinks to be made just saying.

On a recent visit to Bridlington, I wanted to visit Notorianni's, as on our annual holiday to the seaside town in the 1950's we always went here for ice creams and coffee. I remember the wonderful smell of coffee as you walked past. We were ready to have a coffee, but when I went to the entrance of the cafe, the smell was not of coffee, but of a "greasy spoon cafe" and was so disappointed that we didn't bother, but went further up the road to Cafe Society and had a great cup of coffee.

This used to be my favourite place in Brid to get ice creams but was a bit disappointed on Saturday. The sorbet that we ordered was tasty but best described as having a chewy texture and the ice cream was lumpy as though it had melted and reformed many times. Looked good as we arrived late on a Sunday. What I took to be the owner was all smiles but the service was slapdash - no rounded scoops of ice cream - just big blobs flung in cones. Within 100 yards my cone fell to bits leaving ice cream on pavement. Went back to but another and told owner who told the girl serving what I had bought but no offer to report, ace or acknowledge what was obviously out of date end of season stock. Give it a miss and go somewhere else!

Went for lunch here while visiting for the day. Asked for a cheese and onion sandwich untoasted at a cost of £3.70 or £4.20 if u want it toasted . we got a cheese n onion sandwich like we asked for on a plate but with nothing extra like a mini salad n coleslaw like u do in most places , the bread was dry but the cheese and onion were satisfactory. I think when you are charging this much for a sandwich at least use good quality bread or serve with a mini salad at least. We also ordered to ice cream sundaes one cherry and one walnut , they were £4.95 each for 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream n squirty cream with horrible tinned cherries and my partners walnut one had horrible cheap chocolate sauce on it . I no overheads are expensive these days and u rely on summer for your main trade but you can still produce good food on a budget without overcharging and using inferior products .

As an Englishman I love Bridlington. I love what it stands for I love what it is and I will love what it will be again. I love the eccentric lady walking the dog. I love the man in a suit missing only bowler hat riding a electrified Motorcycle down the main street. I love the pensioners emerging from unpainted door frames empty hessian bags ready to make the daily trek into the town centre to buy Lord knows what supported on sticks and on small motorised buggies. But to me outsider Bridlington seems to be letting itself go. Blaming others and the "economy" for its downfall when it has all the ingredients to be just as successful as southern counterparts like Brighton. I visited Bridlington on the Friday before a bank holiday weekend when you imagine the town like this will be pushing itself in readiness for the hordes wanting to entertain children and have a drink what might or might not be a sunny weekend. But no, all I hear is the creak of security shutters being unenthusiastically raised not a sign was there to be had the street cleaner and it looks like one has not been seen around here for some time. It seems that money has been spent in the past on a hodgepodge of now unmaintained Golden paving rapidly turning brown and mossy where street cleaners fear to tread. I fear for the few independent traders remaining who cleaning the doorsteps seem to be going against the tide of the Nationals like McDonald's have left the town and marks and spencers who haven't clean their own doorstep, I learn, for 17 years. But I firmly believe that it is with these independent traders that Bridlington's salvation lies. This belief is compounded following a visit to 15 Prince Street whereupon walking past a beaming smile from the proprietor was received so a quick 180° about turn occurred to be in there for one of the finest double espressos ever to pass my lips. I do not know but I guess that Nottarinni is not the only business in town with several generations of experience of trading here. No doubt they have seen it all over the years. I would hope that with the experience such as this available in the town of Bridlington will take a good hard look at itself over the coming months and owners of property and shopowners should look at their little part of the town to make sure that it is doing it justice. Yes there are vacancies and yes landlords do you need a return on their investment but I would hope that they would now start to think long term and do what is required to make sure that their building is not the one letting the side down for it is they that will benefit in the longer term. Bridlington needs to be proud of itself and should not be simply seagulls that are nest building in the area. Clean your doorsteps Bridlington and people will cross your thresholds once more. Forget the nationals and the charity shops, welcome the independents and reap the rewards.

Over 55 years ago, my family use to visit relatives in Bridlington twice a year until the mid 60's. They were happy times and so my brother (now 70) and myself (58) decided to go for a nostalgia visit to Brid and the surrounding area last summer. After dinner on the first night, we went for a stroll and my brother mentioned Notarianni's and how we'd have coffee there most days and how how our parents loved to chat with the owners. We decided to look to see where it used to be and were highly delighted to find it still there, run by the same family. Now when we were on holiday, it was always a last day treat for my brothers, both quite older than me, to have a knickerbocker glory, but as I was so much younger, my parents never let me have one as they thought it was too big, and so I was only allowed a smaller sundae. For 48 years I carried a 'subconscious grumble' about this, so this was my chance to fulfill a childhood ambition!! The worry was, as I had built it up in my mind to such an extent over the years that no matter how good it was, would it fall short of my expectations? Well I took the plunge, and it was FABULOUS!! Well worth the almost half-century wait. We even phoned our brother in America with the words, 'Guess where we're having coffee and ice cream?' The envy over the phone was tangible.

Perfect home-made ice cream every time. Although they now offer a huge range of flavours I stick with their vanilla as it is heaven in a cone, it also reminds me of sitting on the seat front with my gramps as a child. This is a family run bridlington business that has stood the test of time in our area and that speaks volumes. Quality will always win, the prices are fantastic for FRESH home-made ice cream this isn't cheap whippy out of a carton or your average 99. the cafe itself is always extremely clean and the staff friendly and very welcoming. The coffee and tea are of high quality as are the freshly prepared sandwiches, burgers and other light snacks. My children love having a treat here as do I. Lovely coffee, ice cream and panini's. the only down side is that the Toilet sometimes smells of the fish shop next door. However that does not stop us going there.

We were staying in a nearby guest house in Bridlington, and Notarianni's was perfect for that early morning latte and bacon butty to take away! All of the staff were friendly, helpful and chatty, remembering your face and your order after the first visit!

Have been using this place for over 30 years when in the area. It is consistantly good. The coffee is exceptional and the ices are out of this world. They also do snacks all at good prices. Deano the boss is the life and soul he makes it...

Coffee & ice cream that's what they tell you they do well and that is what they do well. Well made coffee with a nice body, not chain grade or the weak stuff Brid has been selling for the last 50 years.

Went here for a quick drink after a pleasant stroll on Bridlington harbour. They offer a wide variety of ice creams, however didn't have any whipped ice cream when I fancied a '99'.

Dino always makes you welcome. Lovely ice creams and lovely coffee. The only downside is that the cafe-bar sometimes smells of the fish shop next door.

Notarianni has been in Bridlington all my life. The ice cream here is to die for with so much choice. The restaurant/cafe offers great knickerbocker glory as is the hot chocolate and toasted tea cake. Close to the harbour opposite the John Bull rock shop.

If you are ever visiting Bridlington, then I would strongly recommend that you visit Notarianni's. All of their ice cream is home made and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I visited on Boxing Day which, rather unusually, for the time of year, was very mild. I had a banana split, which comes with funky green jelly! I also had a large cappucino which, although it had two shots of coffee in it, still tasted a bit weak, but then I do like my coffee to be very strong. The decor is very nice with an artificial sky scene.

We visited bridlington on the way up to Scarborough for a bit of a wonder around, and found this little beauty displaying some amazing looking icecream with some very wicked flavours (Tiramusu was an instant winner for my girlfriend). We ordered a round of double cones which was the largest portion they could possibily fit on the cones, massive icecream! They all tasted perfect... so we decided to pay a visit on the way back south after our time in Scarborough! Which was still as perfect. Top marks, will recommend to anyone.

Cold coffee, which was a real shame as the majority of breakfast was really quite nice. We will be here for breakfast again when we next stay. Staff were friendly.

Worst service ever, didn’t even get to taste the food. Take my advice and avoid this place altogether as their attitude is shocking.

Ordered a mini Monty sandwich, the girl that took my order was that slow at making it I was the only customer at the time. it was cold when I ate it straight out of the shop, bacon was like leather and the egg was like rubber £4.80 don’t think I’ll b back.
